Ubigi: Cheapest 10 GB, cheapest week, most data for two weeks. 10 GB for 30 days at $14 on its Isle of Man + Channel Islands plan. Its Europe plan, which covers Guernsey, gives a week with 25 GB at full speed for $23, 15 days with 30 GB for $35 and 30 days with 60 GB for $62.
Saily: Cheapest month. Its Global plan gives 30 days of unlimited for $59.99, 30 GB at full speed and then slowed, $8 under our 30 days. For Guernsey alone it sells buckets, 10 GB for 30 days at $29.99. Its listing is from June.

Guernsey is a long weekend or a week for most people, with a day on Herm or Sark. Only Holafly sells unlimited data for Guernsey alone. Ubigi sells it on its Channel Islands and Europe plans, Saily and Airalo on global plans, and Nomad sells buckets only. For about two weeks, Ubigi's Europe plan asks $35 for 30 GB at full speed, Holafly $50.50 and Airalo $96. Ringo Light charges $34.99 for 2 weeks, one payment, nothing renews.

For a month, we are not the cheapest. Saily's Global plan gives 30 days for $59.99, 30 GB at full speed and then slowed, and Ubigi's Europe plan 60 GB at full speed for $62. Ringo Light's 30 days is $67.99. Holafly asks $73.90 and Airalo $159.
Read what unlimited means before you pick. Airalo gives 3 GB a day at full speed, then 1 Mbps. Saily gives 30 GB, Ubigi a fixed amount, then 2 Mbps. Holafly states no daily cap for your own phone and limits sharing to 1 GB a day. Ringo Light has no speed cap: the 2 weeks starts with 10 GB and the 30 days with 20 GB, and when you have used 80% we add 10 GB once and charge the $34.99 top-up. A heavy two weeks with us costs $69.98, more than Ubigi or Holafly ask for 15 days. A heavy month costs $102.98, more than every rival's month except Airalo's.

Guernsey has three mobile networks: Sure, JT and Airtel-Vodafone. Holafly and Nomad both name Sure. Airalo, Saily and Ubigi do not name a network on their listings. The island is small and all three cover St Peter Port and the coast roads.
Herm, Sark and Alderney are part of the Bailiwick of Guernsey but are separate islands. Holafly's own page says coverage may be limited or unstable in parts of Sark, Alderney and Herm, on boats and far from the main towns. Ubigi names its plan Isle of Man + Channel Islands. What to do in Guernsey, and what your phone needs for it. Eight places most first trips include, from St Peter Port and the west coast bays to the car-free islands of Herm and Sark, with the one thing your data does for you at each. The main island is only about 8 km across, and buses reach every part of it. Signal is good on the main island and patchier on the smaller ones.
St Peter Port, East coast, the capital. Granite houses climb the hill above a harbour full of yachts, with steep lanes and steps between the High Street and the old town. Most ferries and all island buses start here. Guernsey prints its own pound notes, at par with sterling. Cards work almost everywhere, and a maps app finds the steps that cut between streets.
Castle Cornet, St Peter Port harbour. A castle on a rock at the mouth of the harbour, reached along the breakwater, with museums inside and views back over the town. A gun is fired from its walls at noon. Check the opening times for the season on your phone before you walk out along the pier from the town centre.
Hauteville House, St Peter Port. Victor Hugo lived here in exile from 1856 to 1870 and decorated every room himself, in carved wood, tapestry and china. It is owned by the City of Paris and seen on a guided tour. Tours are small and the house is closed in winter. Check the dates and book online before you walk up.
The Little Chapel, Les Vauxbelets, St Andrew. A tiny chapel covered inside and out in seashells, pebbles and broken china, begun by a monk, Brother Deodat, in 1914. A short stop, best combined with a walk in the valley around it. It sits inland on a bus route. A live bus app tells you when the next one passes, so you are not waiting on the lane.
Cobo Bay, West coast. A sandy bay with pink granite rocks and a sea wall, the place islanders go to watch the sun set. At low tide the rock pools come out. Guernsey's tides are among the largest in the world. Look up the tide table before you walk out on the sand.
Fort Grey, Rocquaine Bay, west coast. A white Martello tower on a rock, known locally as the cup and saucer, holding a museum of the ships wrecked on this coast. Reached along a short causeway. It is at the far side of the island from town. Save the bus route back before the evening timetable thins out.
Herm and Shell Beach, A short ferry from St Peter Port. A small island with no cars, walked end to end in an afternoon, with a beach made of tiny shells on its north coast. Take the first boat on a sunny day. Save your ferry booking and offline maps before you sail: coverage on Herm may be patchy.
Sark and La Coupee, About an hour by ferry. An island with no cars, crossed by bike, on foot or by horse and carriage. La Coupee is the narrow ridge high above the sea that joins Sark to Little Sark. Holafly warns that coverage may be limited in parts of Sark. Download offline maps and the ferry times before you go.
