Airalo vs Holafly in one paragraph
Airalo is cheaper than Holafly at every length both sell in Brazil: $1.50 on 3 days, $3.50 on a week, $5.50 on 15 days and $15.50 on 30 days. Holafly gives you the simpler product: unlimited days with no stated daily cap for your own phone, on Claro, TIM and Vivo. Airalo gives you more choice, buckets from 1 GB at $4 up to 20 GB at $36 as well as unlimited, but its unlimited slows to 1 Mbps after 3 GB a day, it rides TIM only, and you need its app. Pick Airalo if you want a bucket or the lowest price of the two. Pick Holafly if you never want to think about a daily cap. If the trip is two weeks or a month and you want unlimited, neither is the cheapest: Ringo Light sells 2 weeks at $37.99 and 30 days at $64.99, unlimited data at full speed.
Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 25 October 2026, in US dollars. For 3 days of unlimited, Airalo asks $12 and Holafly $13.50. For a week, $25 at Airalo and $28.50 at Holafly. For 15 days, $46 at Airalo and $51.50 at Holafly. For 30 days, $85 at Airalo and $100.50 at Holafly. Airalo wins every row.
Ringo Light sells two trips for Brazil: 2 weeks at $37.99 and 30 days at $64.99. The 2 weeks is $8.01 less than Airalo's 15 days and $13.51 less than Holafly's. The 30 days is $20.01 less than Airalo's $85 and $35.51 less than Holafly's $100.50. Ringo Light sells no 3-day or 7-day plan: for a long weekend or a week, Airalo at $12 or $25 is the cheaper buy, and our 2 weeks at $37.99 costs more than either brand's 7 days.
For a fixed amount of data, Airalo is the only one of the three that sells it: 10 GB for 30 days at $23, 20 GB at $36. Holafly sells no buckets. Ringo Light sells no buckets either, and its 2 weeks at $37.99 is $14.99 more than Airalo's 10 GB. We would rather you read that here than at checkout.
What unlimited means at each
Airalo's unlimited for Brazil gives 3 GB a day at full speed, then slows to 1 Mbps. Holafly states no daily cap for your own phone and limits hotspot sharing to 1 GB a day. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Networks and coverage in Brazil
Brazil has three national networks: Vivo, Claro and TIM. All three cover Rio, Sao Paulo, Salvador, Foz do Iguacu and most of the coast. Coverage thins out in the Amazon, on the dunes of Maranhao and on long roads through the interior, whichever network you are on. Airalo rides TIM; Holafly lists Claro, TIM and Vivo, which is a point for Holafly if you want a choice of network. Ringo Light rides a local partner network. For the cities and the beaches, any of them works; for remote places, download offline maps before you go.
Installation, app and support
Airalo needs its app: you buy, install and top up inside it. Holafly uses the app for the data balance, and sends the eSIM to install. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, and support is by email. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly and switch it on for data when you land.
The cheaper third option: Ringo Light
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Brazil it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $37.99 and 30 days at $64.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.
What it does not do: no buckets, no 3-day or 7-day plan, no phone number, data only. Calls go over apps that use data. If you want 10 GB for a month, Airalo at $23 is the better buy. If you want 3 days or a week, Airalo at $12 or $25 is cheaper than anything we sell. For two weeks or a month of unlimited, Ringo Light is the cheapest of the three.
