The short answer
Airalo is the travel eSIM most people already know for Brazil. Ringo Light is cheaper for unlimited on the lengths where they compete: $37.99 for 2 weeks against $46 for 15 days at Airalo, $64.99 against $85 for a month. Airalo wins where Ringo Light sells nothing: 3 days at $12, a week at $25, data buckets from $4 for 1 GB, a named network and an app. Airalo gives 3 GB a day at full speed, then 1 Mbps; Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed.

Unlimited for 3 days at $12 and 7 days at $25. 10 GB for 30 days at $23, 20 GB at $36, buckets from $4 for 1 GB. Rides TIM. You buy, install and top up inside its app. Ringo Light sells none of that.

Airalo vs Ringo Light in one paragraph
For unlimited data in Brazil, Ringo Light is cheaper than Airalo on the lengths where they compete. Two weeks is $37.99 against $46 for 15 days at Airalo, $8.01 less. A month is $64.99 against $85, $20.01 less. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed; Airalo gives 3 GB a day at full speed, then 1 Mbps. Airalo wins everything Ringo Light does not sell: 3 days at $12, a week at $25, data buckets from $4 for 1 GB up to 20 GB at $36, a named network, TIM, and an app that shows your balance and tops you up. Pick Ringo Light if you want unlimited for two weeks or a month. Pick Airalo for a trip of a week or less, a bucket that lasts 30 days, a named network, or the comfort of the app.
Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 25 October 2026, in US dollars. For 3 days of unlimited, Airalo asks $12; Ringo Light sells no 3-day plan. For a week, Airalo asks $25; Ringo Light sells no 7-day plan, and its 2 weeks at $37.99 costs $12.99 more than Airalo's week, with a week of days left over. For 15 days, Airalo asks $46 and Ringo Light's 2 weeks is $37.99. For a month, Airalo asks $85 and Ringo Light $64.99. So Airalo is cheaper for a trip of a week or less, and Ringo Light is cheaper for two weeks or a month.
For a fixed amount of data, Airalo is the only one of the two that sells it: 1 GB from $4, 10 GB for 30 days at $23, 20 GB for 30 days at $36. Ringo Light sells no buckets. Its 2 weeks of unlimited at $37.99 costs $14.99 more than Airalo's 10 GB, and it lasts 2 weeks, not 30 days. If you need a little data to last a whole month, Airalo's 10 GB is the better buy, and we would rather you read that here than at checkout.
The two-week chart carries Ringo Light's 2 weeks against Airalo's 15 days, one day apart, because Ringo Light sells 14 days and Airalo 15. The month chart is like for like, 30 days at each.
What unlimited means at each
Airalo's unlimited for Brazil, the Maneiro plan, gives 3 GB a day at full speed, then slows to 1 Mbps. A laptop on the hotspot will hit that sooner than a phone alone. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days, with no daily figure. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Networks and coverage in Brazil
Brazil has three national networks: Vivo, Claro and TIM. All three cover Rio, Sao Paulo, Salvador, Foz do Iguacu and most of the coast. Coverage thins out in the Amazon, on the dunes of Maranhao and on long roads through the interior, whichever network you are on. Airalo's listing names TIM, and that is a point for Airalo: you know which network you will be on before you buy. Ringo Light rides a local partner network. For the cities and the beaches, any of them works; for remote places, download offline maps before you go.
Installation, app and support
Airalo needs its app: you buy, install and top up inside it, see how much data is left, and reach its support chat there. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan from the QR code, and support is by email. There is no balance to watch because there is no bucket. Whichever you pick, install it at home on Wi-Fi and switch it on for data when you land.
What Ringo Light is, and what it is not
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Brazil it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $37.99 and 30 days at $64.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.
What it is not: it is data only, with no phone number, so calls go over apps that use data. It sells no buckets, no 3-day plan and no 7-day plan. It names no network. If you want 3 days, a week, 10 GB to last a month, or a TIM plan by name, Airalo is the better buy. For unlimited at two weeks or a month, Ringo Light is the cheaper of the two.
