The short answer
Every travel eSIM sells Kraków as part of its Poland plan. We priced the six that get most of the traffic on the same day, for a long weekend, a fortnight and a month, and looked at what your phone has to do between the airport, the tram stops, the old town lanes and a day trip out of the city.
Unlimited data at full speed for 2 weeks at $16.99 or 30 days at $26.99, nothing renews. The next cheapest is Ubigi at $29 for 15 days and $49 for the month.
10 GB for 30 days at $9, on Orange and Play. Its week of unlimited is $15, with 20 GB at full speed, then 2 Mbps.
3 days of unlimited at $11 on Plus and Orange, and 20 GB for 30 days at $19, the same price as Airalo.
Days, not gigabytes, no daily cap stated for your own phone, on Plus, Orange and Play. $27.50 for a week.
Prices read on 29 October 2026: Airalo, Holafly, Saily, Nomad, Ubigi on their own sites or listings, Ringo Light from its catalogue. All in US dollars unless stated. Treat every number as a snapshot.

The prices, charted

The 30-day plan at each brand. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed. Ubigi's month is 60 GB at full speed, then 2 Mbps. Nomad sells no 30-day unlimited.
Holafly sells no buckets. Ringo Light sells no bucket either: its 2 weeks is unlimited and lasts 2 weeks, not 30 days. Nomad's 10 GB was on sale on 28 September 2026.

What to see in Kraków, and what your phone does for you there
Six places for a first visit to Kraków, from the Main Market Square to a day trip to a place of remembrance. Most of the city sits within walking distance of the old town, and two of the six lie outside it.
Getting online at Balice airport
Kraków John Paul II International Airport, KRK, sits in the village of Balice, west of the city. Turn your eSIM on once the plane has landed and the data should connect while you queue at passport control, so your map and your booking emails are ready before you pick up a bag.
A rail link runs from the airport to Kraków Główny, the main station beside the old town, and the ride takes roughly twenty minutes. Buses and taxis also serve the terminal. Check the next departure and the ticket price in your phone on the day, since timetables and fares are updated often.
Trams, buses and the Jakdojade app
The old town is small enough to walk, but the trams and buses of the city transport company, MPK, take you out to Kazimierz, the river and the suburbs. Jakdojade is a popular journey planner in Polish cities. It shows live departures and sells tickets in the app for some operators, so one app can cover most of a day. Check which tickets it sells for the zone you need.
Validate or activate a paper or mobile ticket as the rules say, because inspectors do ask to see it. Keep the app open and loaded before you board, as a slow connection at a busy stop is a poor time to find a ticket.
Signal in the Old Town and underground
The Old Town, the Planty ring and the streets around Wawel are covered by the Polish networks, and 5G reaches the centre. Cafe terraces on the Main Market Square can get busy on warm evenings, but ordinary maps and messages should keep up. The same goes for Kazimierz.
Underground is different. Deep in the Wieliczka Salt Mine, data fades, so save your booking and your return travel before the lift goes down. Check your own phone on the day rather than counting on a bar at the bottom.
Wieliczka and Auschwitz-Birkenau by day trip
Both are easy to reach from Kraków and both are best planned ahead. Wieliczka is a short trip by train, bus or car from the city, and the mine is visited on a guided tour. Entry is by timed ticket, so booking on your phone before you go is wise, and the tour length and the language slots are on the official site.
The Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum lies about an hour or more west of the city, and visitors need an entry pass for a set time. Passes are booked online in advance and can sell out in busy months, so check the official site as soon as your dates are fixed. Save your pass, the address and your return transport to your phone before you leave Kraków, as the visit itself is best spent with the phone away.
Which plan fits a Kraków trip
A long weekend: Nomad sells 3 days of unlimited data at $11, Airalo $11.50 and Holafly $11.90. Ringo Light sells no 3-day plan for Poland, and Saily and Ubigi sell none either; Saily starts at 5 days, $18.99.
A week: Ubigi sells 7 days at $15, with 20 GB at full speed, then 2 Mbps, which is less than our 2 weeks at $16.99. Nomad asks $25, Airalo $27 and Holafly $27.50 for a week, and Saily sells no 7-day Poland plan, so Ringo Light costs less than each of those, and you simply have days left over.
A fortnight or a month, for instance Kraków first and then a train on to Warsaw or Gdansk: Ringo Light 2 weeks at $16.99 or 30 days at $26.99, unlimited data at full speed. Both cover all of Poland, so nothing changes when you leave the city.
If your phone plan is from the EU
Poland is in the EU, and EU roaming applies for EU visitors. If your home plan comes from another EU country, using it in Kraków is normally included at your home price within a fair use limit, so read your own plan before you pay for anything extra. Visitors from outside the EU usually face roaming fees, and that is where a travel eSIM saves money.
What Ringo Light is
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM. For Poland, Kraków included, it sells two trips, both with unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $16.99 and 30 days at $26.99. Nothing renews. The eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs with one scan, no app.
If a small bucket is enough, Ubigi sells 10 GB for 30 days at $9, well under our 2 weeks. Ringo Light sells no buckets. The buy card is higher up this page, just after the side-by-side table.
Pick by trip
Nomad unlimited, 3 days, $11. Ringo Light sells no 3 days; its 2 weeks at $16.99 suits a trip that might stretch.
Ringo Light unlimited, 2 weeks, $16.99, less than a week at Nomad ($25), Airalo ($27) or Holafly ($27.50). Ubigi's week at $15 is lower.
Ringo Light 2 weeks at $16.99 covers the city and both day trips on one plan.
Ringo Light unlimited, 30 days, $26.99.
Ubigi 10 GB for 30 days at $9.

How we compared, and our sources
Airalo, Holafly, Saily, Nomad, Ubigi, Ringo Light
We priced Airalo, Holafly, Saily, Nomad, Ubigi and Ringo Light for Kraków on 29 October 2026, all on the same day, in US dollars. Each rival's price comes from its own website where it showed dollars, otherwise from an esimdb.com listing, and every source and its date is listed below. Ringo Light's prices come from the catalogue our checkout charges.
We compare the trips people actually book: a week, two weeks and a month of unlimited data, and a 10 GB bucket. We read each brand's fair use and speed rules and quote them as the brands state them. We did not run speed tests, so this page makes no speed claims for any brand.
Ringo Light is our own product. We put it in the table on the same terms as everyone else, and where a rival is the better buy the page says so.
Left out: Maya Mobile. We could not read its own prices for this country on the day, so it stays out rather than being guessed.
- Airalo: www.airalo.com/poland-esim?currency=USD, unlimited in dollars on the site, 29 October 2026; 10 GB, 20 GB and the daily cap from esimdb.com/poland/airalo, listing dated 26 October 2026; the site names Orange and two more networks
- Holafly: esim.holafly.com/esim-poland/, dollar prices and networks on the site, 29 October 2026; the 1 GB a day sharing limit is not on the page, so the 28 September figure stands
- Saily: esimdb.com/poland/saily, listing dated 4 October 2026; saily.com refused the fetch on 29 October 2026
- Nomad: www.nomadesim.com/poland-esim, dollar prices as read from the plan data on the page, which shows euros, on 28 September 2026; on 29 October 2026 nomadesim.com did not show dollar prices to a normal request, so they were not re-read; daily cap and networks as then
- Ubigi: cellulardata.ubigi.com/destinations/poland/, 10 GB and networks on the site, 29 October 2026; other plans from esimdb.com/poland/ubigi, listing dated 29 October 2026
- Ringo Light: our own catalogue, the prices the checkout charges on 29 October 2026.
