1 · The short answer
Every travel eSIM sells Cappadocia as part of its Turkey plan. We priced the six that get most of the traffic on the same day, for a short flight from Istanbul, a week of valleys and balloons, and a longer trip across Turkey, and looked at what your phone has to do between the airport, the villages and the underground cities.
Unlimited data at full speed for 2 weeks at $12.99 or 30 days at $26.99, nothing renews. Airalo asks $24.50 for one week and $69 for the month.
10 GB for 30 days at $13, and it was €11.40 on sale on its own site the day we looked. 20 GB is $20.
10 GB for 30 days at $13 on Türk Telekom and Turkcell. Its app and site do not open from inside Turkey, so install before you fly.
Days, not gigabytes, and no daily cap stated for your own phone. $27.50 for a week. Sharing the connection is limited to 1 GB a day.
Prices read on 26 September 2026: Airalo, Holafly, Saily, Nomad, Ubigi on their own sites or listings, Ringo Light from its catalogue. All in US dollars unless stated. Treat every number as a snapshot.

4 · What to do in Cappadocia, and what your phone does for you there
Six places for a first visit to Cappadocia, from the sunrise balloons to the tunnels underground. Signal is good in the villages and patchy out in the rock, so the tips below say when to download first.
5 · Getting online at Nevsehir or Kayseri
Cappadocia has two airports. Nevsehir Kapadokya (NAV) is the closer one, roughly a half hour by road from Goreme. Kayseri Erkilet (ASR) is farther, around an hour and a quarter, and often has more flights. Both take domestic flights from Istanbul in about an hour and a half.
Switch your eSIM on when you land and check the data roaming toggle. Airport shuttles and hotel transfers meet most flights, and many hotels send a driver if you message them first. Keep the booking message and your hotel address on the phone, because the villages have narrow streets and few signs in English.
Cappadocia is a region, not a single town. Goreme, Uchisar, Urgup, Avanos and Ortahisar are all within a short drive of each other, and one Turkey eSIM covers all of them with nothing to change.
6 · Signal in the valleys and underground
In and around the main villages, Goreme and Uchisar and Urgup, 4G is normal and your data works for maps, messages and booking apps. Out on a valley trail the signal can drop in the folds of the rock, so download an offline map of the area before you set out. Trail apps and offline maps work with no signal at all.
Underground is different. The cities at Derinkuyu and Kaymakli go down through several levels of tunnel, and you should not count on a signal inside. Coverage differs by spot and by network, so plan for none. Screenshot your ticket and your meeting point first, and tell whoever you travel with where you will be.
7 · Balloon flights and booking apps
Balloon flights lift off at sunrise, and pick up from your hotel is in the dark, often between 4 and 5 in the morning. Operators confirm by message the evening before and again early in the morning, and they cancel when the wind is wrong. Keep your phone on, with data, so you get that message and the new time.
Book tours, transfers and flights on your phone with the operator, an agent or a booking app, and read the cancellation terms. Tickets for the Goreme Open Air Museum and most sites are sold at the gate, and cards work in the larger shops and restaurants. Small cafes and market stalls often prefer cash, so carry some lira.
8 · Which plan fits a Cappadocia trip
Two nights, from Istanbul by air: Airalo sells 3 days of unlimited for $11.50 and Holafly for $11.90. Ringo Light sells no 3-day plan, so for a very short stay one of those is the better buy.
A week in Cappadocia and Turkey: a week of unlimited costs $17 for 5 days at Nomad, $22 for 8 days at Ubigi, $24.50 at Airalo and $27.50 at Holafly. Ringo Light sells no 7-day plan, but its 2 weeks of unlimited data costs $12.99, less than any of those. You simply have days left over.
Istanbul plus Cappadocia, two weeks or a month: Ringo Light 2 weeks at $12.99 or 30 days at $26.99. Both cover all of Turkey, so the eSIM you install in Istanbul is the one you use in Goreme, and again on the coast.
9 · What Ringo Light is
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Turkey, Cappadocia included, it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $12.99 and 30 days at $26.99. Nothing renews. The eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, no app.
If a fixed amount of data is enough, Nomad and Ubigi sell 10 GB for 30 days at $13. Ringo Light sells no buckets. The card to buy it is further up this page, just after the side-by-side table.
10 · Pick by trip
Airalo unlimited, 3 days, $11.50. Ringo Light sells no 3-day plan.
Ringo Light unlimited, 2 weeks, $12.99, less than a week at Nomad, Ubigi, Airalo or Holafly.
Ringo Light unlimited, 2 weeks, $12.99, or Nomad or Ubigi 10 GB for 30 days at $13.
Ringo Light 2 weeks at $12.99 or 30 days at $26.99 covers all of Turkey on one eSIM.
None of these travel plans does that. The full Ringo, which Ringo Light funds, ports the number you have.

12 · How we compared, and our sources
We priced Airalo, Holafly, Saily, Nomad, Ubigi and Ringo Light for Cappadocia on 26 September 2026, all on the same day, in US dollars. Each rival's price comes from its own website where it showed dollars, otherwise from an esimdb.com listing, and every source and its date is listed below. Ringo Light's prices come from the catalogue our checkout charges.
We compare the trips people actually book: a week, two weeks and a month of unlimited data, and a 10 GB bucket. We read each brand's fair use and speed rules and quote them as the brands state them. We did not run speed tests, so this page makes no speed claims for any brand.
Ringo Light is our own product. We put it in the table on the same terms as everyone else, and where a rival is the better buy the page says so.
Left out: Maya Mobile. We could not read its own prices for this country on the day, so it stays out rather than being guessed.
