Airalo vs Saily in one paragraph

Airalo and Saily are close on buckets in Chile. For 10 GB for 30 days Saily asks $27.99 and Airalo $28, so Saily is $0.01 cheaper. For 20 GB Airalo asks $48 and Saily $48.99, so Airalo is $0.99 cheaper. The bigger difference is unlimited: Airalo sells it, 3 days at $12.50, 7 days at $27.50, 15 days at $50, 30 days at $92, 3 GB a day at full speed, then 1 Mbps, on Movistar and WOM. Saily sells no Chile unlimited, only a Global plan listed at $59.99 for 30 days in June. Saily's listing is from June and does not name its network. Pick Airalo if you want unlimited or the cheaper 20 GB. Pick Saily if 10 GB is all you need and you want to save a cent. For two weeks or a month of unlimited, Ringo Light sells $44.99 and $63.99, unlimited data at full speed.

Price: the same trip at each

Priced on 28 September 2026, in US dollars; Saily's listing is from June. For 10 GB for 30 days, Saily asks $27.99 and Airalo $28, a $0.01 gap that favours Saily. For 20 GB for 30 days, Airalo asks $48 and Saily $48.99, so Airalo is $0.99 cheaper. Airalo also sells 1 GB from $4.50.

Unlimited is Airalo's alone: $12.50 for 3 days, $27.50 for 7, $50 for 15 and $92 for 30. Saily's only unlimited-style plan is its Global plan, listed at $59.99 for 30 days. That is a Global plan, not a Chile plan, so we leave it out of the bars and do not call either brand cheaper on it.

Ringo Light sells two trips for Chile: 2 weeks at $44.99 and 30 days at $63.99. The 2 weeks costs $5.01 less than Airalo's 15 days, and the 30 days costs $28.01 less than Airalo's month. Ringo Light sells no 3-day or 7-day plan. For a fixed amount of data, both Airalo's and Saily's 10 GB are cheaper than our $44.99, and theirs lasts 30 days, not 2 weeks.

What unlimited means at each

Airalo's unlimited for Chile, the Altoque plan, gives 3 GB a day at full speed, then slows to 1 Mbps for the rest of the day. That is enough for maps, messages and an hour or two of video; a long evening of streaming in HD will hit it. Saily sells no unlimited plan for Chile. Its only unlimited is the Global plan, listed at $59.99 for 30 days in June, which is a Global plan and not a Chile plan. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms.

Networks and coverage in Chile

Chile has four national networks: Entel, Movistar, Claro and WOM. All four cover Santiago, Valparaiso and the towns of the central valley. Coverage thins on the desert roads of the Atacama, on the Carretera Austral and inside the Patagonian parks, whichever network you are on; on the trails of Torres del Paine there is almost none. For the cities any of them works; for the far north and the far south, download offline maps before you leave town.

Airalo rides Movistar and WOM. Saily does not name its network on its listing. Ringo Light rides a local partner network.

Installation, app and support

Airalo needs its app: you buy and install inside it. Saily needs its app. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan. Install it at home on Wi-Fi before you fly and switch it on for data when you land in Santiago.

The cheaper third option: Ringo Light

Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Chile it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $44.99 and 30 days at $63.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.

What it does not do: no buckets, no 3-day or 7-day plan, no phone number, data only. Calls go over apps that use data. If you want 10 GB for a month, Saily at $27.99 or Airalo at $28 is the better buy. If you want 3 or 7 days, Airalo is cheaper than anything we sell. For two weeks or a month of unlimited, Ringo Light is cheaper than Airalo, and Saily sells no Chile unlimited.
