Holafly vs Nomad in one paragraph
Holafly and Nomad overlap less than their names suggest in Chile. Holafly sells unlimited for 3, 7, 15 and 30 days at $12.50, $27.90, $50.50 and $95.90, with no stated daily cap, and no buckets. Nomad sells unlimited for 5 days at $26 and 10 days at $45, at 2 GB a day, then slower, and buckets: 10 GB for 30 days at $25 and 20 GB at $39. Both ride Movistar. The unlimited lengths do not match, so we do not call either one cheaper on unlimited. Pick Holafly for a week, 15 days or a month of unlimited. Pick Nomad for a bucket, or for a 5-day or 10-day trip. For two weeks or a month of unlimited, Ringo Light sells $44.99 and $63.99, unlimited data at full speed; its 2 weeks is $0.01 under Nomad's 10 days, and 4 days longer.
Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 28 September 2026, in US dollars. Holafly: $12.50 for 3 days, $27.90 for 7, $50.50 for 15, $95.90 for 30, all unlimited. Nomad: unlimited 5 days $26 and 10 days $45; 10 GB for 30 days $25, 20 GB $39. The two share no unlimited length, and Holafly sells no buckets, so there is no like for like price. We leave that comparison out rather than call either brand cheaper.
Ringo Light sells two trips for Chile: 2 weeks at $44.99 and 30 days at $63.99. The 2 weeks costs $5.51 less than Holafly's 15 days, and the 30 days costs $31.91 less than Holafly's month. Against Nomad's 10 days of unlimited at $45, our 2 weeks is $0.01 less and 4 days longer. Ringo Light sells no 3-day or 7-day plan. For a fixed amount of data, Nomad's 10 GB at $25 and 20 GB at $39 are cheaper than our $44.99 and $63.99, and theirs last 30 days where our 2 weeks lasts 2.
What unlimited means at each
Holafly states no daily cap for your own phone in Chile and limits hotspot sharing to 1 GB a day. It sells days, not gigabytes. Nomad's unlimited for Chile gives 2 GB a day at full speed, then slower, and stops at 10 days; it sells no 30-day unlimited. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Networks and coverage in Chile
Chile has four national networks: Entel, Movistar, Claro and WOM. All four cover Santiago, Valparaiso and the towns of the central valley. Coverage thins on the desert roads of the Atacama, on the Carretera Austral and inside the Patagonian parks, whichever network you are on; on the trails of Torres del Paine there is almost none. For the cities any of them works; for the far north and the far south, download offline maps before you leave town.
Holafly rides Movistar. Nomad rides Movistar. Ringo Light rides a local partner network.
Installation, app and support
Holafly's app is used for the data balance. Nomad's app is optional. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan. Install it at home on Wi-Fi before you fly and switch it on for data when you land in Santiago.
The cheaper third option: Ringo Light
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Chile it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $44.99 and 30 days at $63.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.
What it does not do: no buckets, no 3-day or 7-day plan, no phone number, data only. Calls go over apps that use data. If you want 10 GB for a month, Nomad at $25 is the better buy. If you want 3 or 7 days, Holafly is cheaper than anything we sell. For two weeks or a month of unlimited, Ringo Light is cheaper than Holafly.

We compare the trips people actually book: a week, two weeks and a month of unlimited data, and a 10 GB bucket. We read each brand's fair use and speed rules and quote them as the brands state them. We did not run speed tests, so this page makes no speed claims for any brand.
Ringo Light is our own product. We put it in the table on the same terms as everyone else, and where a rival is the better buy the page says so.
Left out: Airalo, Saily and Ubigi. They sell Chile too and are priced on the same day in the full comparison at /blog/best-esim-for-chile. This page answers one question, Holafly vs Nomad, so it keeps to those two and the cheaper third option. Left out: A like for like unlimited price.
