Airalo vs Nomad in one paragraph
For a fixed amount of data, Nomad is the cheaper of the two for Argentina by a small margin: $28 for 10 GB against $30 at Airalo, a gap of $2. The 20 GB bucket costs $47 at both, so neither is cheaper there. Airalo sells something Nomad does not: unlimited days, $19.50 for 3 days, $34.50 for a week and $38.50 for 10 days, on Movistar, 3 GB a day at full speed, then 1 Mbps. Nomad sells buckets only. Both ride Movistar and both need their app. Pick Nomad for the 10 GB bucket. Pick Airalo if you want unlimited for 10 days or less, or its 1 GB buckets from $5. For two weeks or a month of unlimited, neither is the cheapest: Ringo Light sells 2 weeks at $44.99 and 30 days at $56.99, unlimited data at full speed.
Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 25 October 2026, in US dollars. For 10 GB over 30 days, Nomad asks $28 and Airalo $30. For 20 GB, both ask $47. Airalo also sells buckets from $5 for 1 GB. That is the whole bucket story: Nomad is $2 cheaper on 10 GB and level on 20 GB.
Nomad sells no unlimited for Argentina, so the rest of the price list is Airalo alone: unlimited for 3 days at $19.50, 7 days at $34.50 and 10 days at $38.50. For 15 days or a month Airalo's Argentina plan has run out, so its price is the Latin America plan, $60 and $97. There is no Nomad price to set against those, so we do not call either brand cheaper on unlimited.
Ringo Light sells two trips for Argentina: 2 weeks at $44.99 and 30 days at $56.99. The 2 weeks costs $15.01 less than Airalo's 15 days at $60, and the 30 days $40.01 less than Airalo's $97. It sells no buckets, so Nomad's 10 GB at $28 and Airalo's at $30 are both cheaper than our 2 weeks at $44.99, by $16.99 and $14.99. If 10 GB is all you need, buy a bucket, and we would rather you read that here than at checkout.
What unlimited means at each
Nomad sells no unlimited plan for Argentina, so there is nothing to compare. Airalo's unlimited for Argentina, the Abrazo! plan, gives 3 GB a day at full speed, then slows to 1 Mbps for the rest of the day. That is enough for maps, messages and an hour or two of video; a long evening of streaming in HD will hit it. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Networks and coverage in Argentina
Argentina has three national networks: Movistar, Claro and Personal. All three cover Buenos Aires, Cordoba, Mendoza, Salta and the tourist towns of Patagonia. Coverage thins out on the long roads across Patagonia, on the trails around El Chalten and in the high valleys of the north, whichever network you are on. Airalo and Nomad both ride Movistar, so the two share a network here. Ringo Light rides a local partner network. For the south, download offline maps before you go.
Many Argentina trips cross a border: to the Brazilian side of Iguazu, to Chile for Torres del Paine, or on the ferry to Uruguay. An Argentina plan stops working at the border, Nomad's and ours included. Airalo's Latin America plan, the one it sells for 15 and 30 days here, covers the neighbouring countries too.
Installation, app and support
Both Airalo and Nomad need their app: you buy, install and top up inside it. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, and support is by email. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly and switch it on for data when you land at Ezeiza or Aeroparque.
The cheaper third option: Ringo Light
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Argentina it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $44.99 and 30 days at $56.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.
What it does not do: no buckets, no 3-day or 7-day plan, no phone number, data only, and it stops at the Argentine border. If you want 10 GB, Nomad at $28 is the better buy, then Airalo at $30. For 3 days or a week of unlimited, Airalo at $19.50 or $34.50 is cheaper than anything we sell. For two weeks or a month of unlimited, Ringo Light is cheaper than Airalo, and Nomad sells none.

We priced Airalo, Nomad and Ringo Light for Argentina on 25 October 2026, all on the same day, in US dollars. Each rival's price comes from its own website where it showed dollars, otherwise from an esimdb.com listing, and every source and its date is listed below. Ringo Light's prices come from the catalogue our checkout charges.
We compare the trips people actually book: a week, two weeks and a month of unlimited data, and a 10 GB bucket. We read each brand's fair use and speed rules and quote them as the brands state them. We did not run speed tests, so this page makes no speed claims for any brand.
Ringo Light is our own product. We put it in the table on the same terms as everyone else, and where a rival is the better buy the page says so.
Left out: Holafly, Saily and Ubigi. They sell Argentina too and are priced on the same day in the full comparison at /blog/best-esim-for-argentina. This page answers one question, Airalo or Nomad, so it keeps to those two and the cheaper third option. Left out: Nomad unlimited. Nomad sells no unlimited plan for Argentina, so there is no 3-day, 7-day, 2-week or 30-day Nomad price to set against Airalo's, and no comparison is made there. Nomad's Latin America plan has no price in the full comparison, so it stays out rather than being guessed.
