The short answer
Airalo is the travel eSIM most people already know for Argentina. Ringo Light is cheaper for unlimited at the lengths where both sell: $44.99 for 2 weeks against $60 for 15 days at Airalo, $56.99 against $97 for a month. Airalo wins where Ringo Light sells nothing: unlimited for 3 days at $19.50, 7 days at $34.50 and 10 days at $38.50, data buckets from $5 for 1 GB, a named network, and an app that shows your balance.
Unlimited data at full speed for 2 weeks at $44.99 or 30 days at $56.99, nothing renews, no app. Airalo asks $60 for 15 days and $97 for 30 on its Latin America plan.
Unlimited for 3 days at $19.50, 7 days at $34.50 and 10 days at $38.50, 3 GB a day at full speed, then 1 Mbps, on Movistar. 1 GB from $5, 10 GB for 30 days at $30, 20 GB at $47. You buy, install and top up inside its app. Ringo Light sells none of that.

The prices, charted
US dollars, 25 October 2026. Ringo Light sells 2 weeks, Airalo 15 days. Airalo's local plan stops at 10 days ($38.50); its 15 days is the Latamlink regional plan, 3 GB a day at full speed, then 1 Mbps. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed.
The 30-day plan at each brand. Airalo's is the Latamlink regional plan and slows to 1 Mbps after 3 GB a day. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed.
The bucket most people buy for a short holiday. Ringo Light sells no bucket: its 2 weeks is unlimited and lasts 2 weeks, not 30 days. If the 10 GB must last a whole month, Airalo is the one of the two that sells it.

Airalo vs Ringo Light in one paragraph
For two weeks or a month of unlimited data in Argentina, Ringo Light is cheaper than Airalo. Two weeks is $44.99, against $60 for 15 days on Airalo's Latin America plan, $15.01 less. A month is $56.99 against $97, $40.01 less. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed; Airalo gives 3 GB a day at full speed, then 1 Mbps. Airalo wins everything Ringo Light does not sell: unlimited for 3 days at $19.50, 7 days at $34.50 and 10 days at $38.50, data buckets from $5 for 1 GB up to 20 GB at $47, Movistar named on its page, and an app that shows your balance and tops you up. Pick Ringo Light if you want unlimited for two weeks or a month. Pick Airalo for a trip of 10 days or less, a bucket that lasts 30 days, a named network, or the comfort of the app.
Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 25 October 2026, in US dollars. For 3 days of unlimited, Airalo asks $19.50; Ringo Light sells no 3-day plan. For a week, Airalo asks $34.50, and for 10 days $38.50; Ringo Light sells no plan under 2 weeks. Its 2 weeks at $44.99 costs $10.49 more than Airalo's week and $6.49 more than its 10 days, with days left over. For 15 days Airalo's Argentina plan has run out, so its price is the Latin America plan at $60, against $44.99 for Ringo Light's 2 weeks. For a month, Airalo asks $97 on the same regional plan and Ringo Light $56.99. Airalo wins the short rows, Ringo Light the long ones.
For a fixed amount of data, Airalo is the only one of the two that sells it: 1 GB from $5, 10 GB for 30 days at $30, 20 GB for 30 days at $47. Ringo Light sells no buckets. Its 2 weeks of unlimited at $44.99 costs $14.99 more than Airalo's 10 GB, and it lasts 2 weeks, not 30 days. Its 30 days at $56.99 costs $9.99 more than Airalo's 20 GB. If you need a little data to last a whole month, Airalo's 10 GB is the better buy, and we would rather you read that here than at checkout. The 10 GB chart above shows the two side by side for that reason.
The two-week chart carries Ringo Light's 2 weeks against Airalo's 15 days, as the full comparison does, because the two do not sell the same length. The month chart is like for like, 30 days at each.
What unlimited means at each
Airalo's unlimited for Argentina, the Abrazo! plan, gives 3 GB a day at full speed, then slows to 1 Mbps until the next day. That is enough for maps, messages, photos and an hour or two of video; a long evening of streaming in HD will hit it, and a laptop on the hotspot will hit it sooner. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days, with no daily figure. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Networks and coverage in Argentina
Argentina has three national networks: Movistar, Claro and Personal. All three cover Buenos Aires, Cordoba, Mendoza, Salta and the tourist towns of Patagonia. Coverage thins out on the long roads across Patagonia, on the trails around El Chalten and in the high valleys of the north, whichever network you are on. Airalo's page names Movistar, and that is a point for Airalo: you know which network you will be on before you buy. Ringo Light rides a local partner network. For the south, download offline maps before you go.
Many Argentina trips cross a border: to the Brazilian side of Iguazu, to Chile for Torres del Paine, or on the ferry to Uruguay. An Argentina plan stops working at the border, ours included. Airalo's Latin America plan, the one it sells for 15 and 30 days here, covers the neighbouring countries too, which is the one case where its higher price buys something Ringo Light for Argentina does not.
Installation, app and support
Airalo needs its app: you buy, install and top up inside it, see how much data is left, and reach its support chat there. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan from the QR code, and support is by email. There is no balance to watch because there is no bucket. Whichever you pick, install it at home on Wi-Fi before you fly and switch it on for data when you land at Ezeiza or Aeroparque.
What Ringo Light is, and what it is not
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Argentina it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $44.99 and 30 days at $56.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.
What it is not: it is data only, with no phone number, so calls go over apps that use data. It sells no buckets, no 3-day, 7-day or 10-day plan, and it stops at the Argentine border. It names no network. There is no app and no balance screen, because there is nothing to count. If you want 10 GB to last a month, or a Movistar plan by name, Airalo is the better buy. For unlimited over two weeks or a month, Ringo Light is the cheaper of the two by a wide margin.
