Airalo vs Holafly in one paragraph
Airalo is cheaper than Holafly for Argentina on the short plans, by 40 cents on 3 days and by $2.40 on a week, and it is the only one of the two that sells 10 days ($38.50) or a bucket. Past 10 days the order flips. Airalo's own Argentina plan stops there, so 15 days or a month means its Latin America plan, at $60 and $97, while Holafly asks $51.50 and $91.50 for Argentina alone. Holafly also gives the simpler product: unlimited days with no stated daily cap, on Movistar through Telefonica, with its app needed only to read the data balance. Airalo slows to 1 Mbps after 3 GB a day and you buy and install inside its app. Pick Airalo for a trip of 10 days or less, or for a bucket. Pick Holafly for 15 days or a month between the two. If the trip is two weeks or a month and you want unlimited, neither is the cheapest: Ringo Light sells 2 weeks at $44.99 and 30 days at $56.99, unlimited data at full speed.
Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 25 October 2026, in US dollars, from each brand's own site. For 3 days of unlimited, Airalo asks $19.50 and Holafly $19.90. For a week, $34.50 at Airalo and $36.90 at Holafly. Airalo sells 10 days at $38.50; Holafly has no 10-day plan. For 15 days, Airalo's Argentina plan has run out, so its price is the Latin America plan at $60, against $51.50 at Holafly. For 30 days, $97 at Airalo on the same regional plan, against $91.50 at Holafly. Airalo wins the short rows, Holafly the long ones.
Ringo Light sells two trips for Argentina: 2 weeks at $44.99 and 30 days at $56.99. The 2 weeks costs $6.51 less than Holafly's 15 days at $51.50 and $15.01 less than Airalo's at $60. The 30 days costs $34.51 less than Holafly's $91.50 and $40.01 less than Airalo's $97. Ringo Light sells no 3-day or 7-day plan; for 3 days Airalo at $19.50 is the cheapest of the three, and for a week Airalo at $34.50 is. Our 2 weeks at $44.99 costs $10.49 more than Airalo's week, with a week of days left over.
For a fixed amount of data, Airalo is the only one of the three that sells it: 10 GB for 30 days at $30, 20 GB at $47, buckets from $5 for 1 GB. Holafly sells no buckets. Ringo Light sells no buckets either. If 10 GB is all you need, Airalo at $30 is cheaper than Ringo Light's $44.99, and we would rather you read that here than at checkout.
What unlimited means at each
Airalo's unlimited for Argentina, the Abrazo! plan, gives 3 GB a day at full speed, then slows to 1 Mbps for the rest of the day. That is enough for maps, messages and an hour or two of video; a long evening of streaming in HD will hit it. Holafly states no daily cap for your own phone and limits hotspot sharing to 1 GB a day, so Holafly is the one to pick between the two if you share data to a laptop every day, but only up to that 1 GB. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Networks and coverage in Argentina
Argentina has three national networks: Movistar, Claro and Personal. All three cover Buenos Aires, Cordoba, Mendoza, Salta and the tourist towns of Patagonia. Coverage thins out on the long roads across Patagonia, on the trails around El Chalten and in the high valleys of the north, whichever network you are on. Airalo rides Movistar. Holafly lists Telefonica, which runs Movistar, so the two share a network here. Ringo Light rides a local partner network. For the cities, any of the three works; for the south, download offline maps before you go. None of the three is the brand to pick for Personal coverage, which Ubigi adds in the full comparison.
Many Argentina trips cross a border: to the Brazilian side of Iguazu, to Chile for Torres del Paine, or on the ferry to Uruguay. An Argentina plan stops working at the border, Holafly's and ours included. Airalo's Latin America plan, the one it sells for 15 and 30 days here, covers the neighbouring countries too, which is the one case where its higher price buys something Holafly and Ringo Light for Argentina do not.
Installation, app and support
Airalo needs its app: you buy, install and top up inside it, and that is also where its support chat lives. Holafly's app is for the data balance; you install the eSIM from the details it sends, and support is by chat on its site. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, and support is by email. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly and switch it on for data when you land at Ezeiza or Aeroparque.
The cheaper third option: Ringo Light
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Argentina it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $44.99 and 30 days at $56.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.
What it does not do: no buckets, no 3-day or 7-day plan, no phone number, data only, and it stops at the Argentine border. Calls go over apps that use data. If you want 10 GB for a month, Airalo at $30 is the better buy. If you want 3 days or a week, Airalo at $19.50 or $34.50 is cheaper than anything we sell for Argentina. For two weeks or a month of unlimited, Ringo Light is the cheapest of the three.
