Holafly vs Nomad in one paragraph
Holafly and Nomad do not compete plan for plan in Argentina. Holafly sells unlimited days and no buckets: $19.90 for 3 days, $36.90 for a week, $51.50 for 15 days and $91.50 for 30 days, with no stated daily cap for your own phone and sharing limited to 1 GB a day. Nomad sells buckets and no unlimited: 10 GB for 30 days at $28 and 20 GB at $47. Because no Holafly plan has a Nomad match, neither is cheaper on any like for like row, and we say so rather than invent one. Both ride Movistar. Holafly's app is only for the data balance; Nomad needs its app to buy and install. Pick Holafly if you want days of data without watching a counter. Pick Nomad if you want a fixed amount for a month. For two weeks or a month of unlimited, Ringo Light is cheaper than Holafly, at $44.99 and $56.99, unlimited data at full speed.
Price: what each sells
Priced on 25 October 2026, in US dollars. Holafly asks $19.90 for 3 days, $36.90 for a week, $51.50 for 15 days and $91.50 for 30 days, all unlimited. Nomad asks $28 for 10 GB and $47 for 20 GB, both for 30 days. There is no length at which both sell the same kind of plan, so there is no brand we can call the cheaper one. If you will use a fixed 10 GB, Nomad's $28 is a clear price to compare with other buckets in the full comparison; if you want unlimited days, Holafly is the one of the two that sells them.
Ringo Light sells two trips for Argentina: 2 weeks at $44.99 and 30 days at $56.99. The 2 weeks costs $6.51 less than Holafly's 15 days and the 30 days costs $34.51 less than Holafly's $91.50. Ringo Light sells no 3-day or 7-day plan, and no buckets: its 2 weeks at $44.99 costs $16.99 more than Nomad's 10 GB, and its 30 days at $56.99 costs $9.99 more than Nomad's 20 GB at $47, for unlimited data in place of a fixed amount. If 10 GB is all you need, Nomad at $28 is the better buy, and we would rather you read that here than at checkout.
What unlimited means at each
Nomad sells no unlimited plan for Argentina, so there is nothing to compare. Holafly states no daily cap for your own phone and limits hotspot sharing to 1 GB a day, so if you share data to a laptop every day, that is the limit to know. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Networks and coverage in Argentina
Argentina has three national networks: Movistar, Claro and Personal. All three cover Buenos Aires, Cordoba, Mendoza, Salta and the tourist towns of Patagonia. Coverage thins out on the long roads across Patagonia, on the trails around El Chalten and in the high valleys of the north, whichever network you are on. Holafly lists Telefonica, which runs Movistar, and Nomad rides Movistar, so the two share a network here. Ringo Light rides a local partner network. For the south, download offline maps before you go.
Many Argentina trips cross a border: to the Brazilian side of Iguazu, to Chile for Torres del Paine, or on the ferry to Uruguay. An Argentina plan stops working at the border, Holafly's, Nomad's and ours included. Nomad sells a Latin America plan, which the full comparison does not price, so we leave it out.
Installation, app and support
Holafly's app is for the data balance; you install the eSIM from the details it sends, and support is by chat on its site. Nomad needs its app: you buy, install and top up inside it. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, and support is by email. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly and switch it on for data when you land at Ezeiza or Aeroparque.
The cheaper third option: Ringo Light
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Argentina it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $44.99 and 30 days at $56.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.
What it does not do: no buckets, no 3-day or 7-day plan, no phone number, data only, and it stops at the Argentine border. If you want 10 GB, Nomad at $28 is the better buy. For 3 days or a week of unlimited, Holafly at $19.90 or $36.90 is cheaper than anything we sell. For two weeks or a month of unlimited, Ringo Light is cheaper than Holafly, and Nomad sells none.

How we compared, and our sources
Holafly, Nomad, Ringo Light, Ringo Light
We priced Holafly, Nomad and Ringo Light for Argentina on 25 October 2026, all on the same day, in US dollars. Each rival's price comes from its own website where it showed dollars, otherwise from an esimdb.com listing, and every source and its date is listed below. Ringo Light's prices come from the catalogue our checkout charges.
We compare the trips people actually book: a week, two weeks and a month of unlimited data, and a 10 GB bucket. We read each brand's fair use and speed rules and quote them as the brands state them. We did not run speed tests, so this page makes no speed claims for any brand.
Ringo Light is our own product. We put it in the table on the same terms as everyone else, and where a rival is the better buy the page says so.
Left out: Airalo, Saily and Ubigi. They sell Argentina too and are priced on the same day in the full comparison at /blog/best-esim-for-argentina. This page answers one question, Holafly or Nomad, so it keeps to those two and the cheaper third option. Left out: A Holafly against Nomad price comparison. Holafly sells no buckets and Nomad sells no unlimited for Argentina, so no plan of one has a matching plan at the other. We leave the comparison out rather than call a brand cheaper without a like for like figure. Nomad's Latin America plan has no price in the full comparison, so it stays out too.
