Airalo vs Nomad in one paragraph

Nomad is the cheaper of the two for Morocco at every plan they share, and by a wide margin on buckets. 3 days of unlimited is $14 at Nomad against $17.50 at Airalo, a week is $27 against $35, 10 days is $35 against $45, 10 GB for 30 days is $21 against $34 and 20 GB is $25 against $43. Both ride Orange, both need their app, and neither sells unlimited past 10 days. Airalo's one edge on unlimited is the cap: 3 GB a day at full speed against Nomad's 2 GB. Pick Nomad for almost any Morocco trip of 10 days or less, or for a bucket. Pick Airalo only if the extra gigabyte a day matters more to you than $8 on the week. If the trip is two weeks or a month and you want unlimited, neither sells it: Ringo Light sells 2 weeks at $26.99 and 30 days at $50.99, unlimited data at full speed.

Price: the same trip at each

Priced on 25 October 2026, in US dollars. For 3 days of unlimited, Airalo asks $17.50 and Nomad $14. For a week, $35 at Airalo and $27 at Nomad. For 10 days, which is as far as either goes, $45 at Airalo and $35 at Nomad. For 10 GB over 30 days, $34 at Airalo and $21 at Nomad. For 20 GB, $43 at Airalo and $25 at Nomad. Nomad wins every row.

Ringo Light sells two trips for Morocco: 2 weeks at $26.99 and 30 days at $50.99. The 2 weeks costs $18.01 less than Airalo's 10 days at $45 and $8.01 less than Nomad's at $35, and it lasts 4 days longer than either. It also costs $8.01 less than Airalo's 7 days at $35, and one cent less than Nomad's 7 days at $27. Ringo Light sells no 3-day plan: for a long weekend, Nomad at $14 is the cheaper buy.

For a fixed amount of data, Airalo and Nomad both sell it and Ringo Light does not. 10 GB for 30 days is $21 at Nomad and $34 at Airalo, and 20 GB is $25 against $43. Airalo also sells 1 GB from $6; Nomad sells 50 GB for 30 days at $45. If 10 GB is all you need, either is cheaper than Ringo Light's $26.99, Nomad by $5.99, and we would rather you read that here than at checkout.

What unlimited means at each

Airalo's unlimited for Morocco gives 3 GB a day at full speed, then slows to 1 Mbps for the rest of the day. Nomad's gives 2 GB a day at full speed, then 1 Mbps. Both stop at 10 days. Two or three gigabytes covers maps, messages and photos; an evening of video or a laptop on the hotspot will hit either cap early. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days, with no daily figure. Fair use policy, see Terms.

Networks and coverage in Morocco, and the SIM rules

Morocco has three networks: Maroc Telecom (also called IAM), Orange and inwi. All three cover the cities, the motorways and the train lines well. Airalo and Nomad both name Orange, so on coverage the two are the same product. Ringo Light rides a local partner network. Past the last towns, on the road over the Tizi n'Tichka pass and out in the dunes of Merzouga, signal thins out on every network. Download offline maps before those drives. If you want Maroc Telecom or inwi by name, neither Airalo nor Nomad is the brand; Holafly and Ubigi name them in the full comparison.

A local SIM is cheap, and the operators sell them at the main airports and in phone shops, but every Moroccan SIM has to be registered with your passport, and top-ups are bought in dirhams. A travel eSIM installs at home before you fly and works from the moment you land.

Installation, app and support

Airalo needs its app: you buy, install and top up inside it, and its support chat lives there. Nomad needs its app too. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, and support is by email. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly and switch it on for data when you land at Casablanca or Marrakech.

The cheaper third option: Ringo Light

Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Morocco it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $26.99 and 30 days at $50.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.

What it does not do: no buckets, no 3-day or 7-day plan, no phone number, data only. Calls go over apps that use data. If you want 10 GB for a month, Nomad at $21 is the better buy. If you want a long weekend, Nomad at $14 is cheaper than anything we sell. If you want a week of unlimited, Nomad at $27 costs a cent more than our 2 weeks. For two weeks, Ringo Light is cheaper than either rival's 10 days, and for a month neither sells unlimited at all.

We priced Airalo, Nomad and Ringo Light for Morocco on 25 October 2026, all on the same day, in US dollars. Each rival's price comes from its own website where it showed dollars, otherwise from an esimdb.com listing, and every source and its date is listed below. Ringo Light's prices come from the catalogue our checkout charges.

We compare the trips people actually book: a week, two weeks and a month of unlimited data, and a 10 GB bucket. We read each brand's fair use and speed rules and quote them as the brands state them. We did not run speed tests, so this page makes no speed claims for any brand.

Ringo Light is our own product. We put it in the table on the same terms as everyone else, and where a rival is the better buy the page says so.

Left out: Holafly, Saily and Ubigi. They sell Morocco too and are priced on the same day in the full comparison at /blog/best-esim-for-morocco. This page answers one question, Airalo or Nomad, so it keeps to those two and the cheaper third option. Left out: A two-week and a month chart. Neither Airalo nor Nomad sells a 15-day or a 30-day Morocco unlimited plan, so there is nothing of theirs to set against Ringo Light's 2 weeks and 30 days.
