Holafly vs Nomad in one paragraph

Nomad is cheaper than Holafly where the two overlap for Morocco: 3 days of unlimited at $14 against $14.90, a week at $27 against $32.50. Nomad also sells buckets, 10 GB for 30 days at $21 and 20 GB at $25, where Holafly sells none. Holafly sells the longer unlimited that Nomad does not: 15 days at $59.90 and 30 days at $86.90, where Nomad stops at 10 days, at $35. Holafly names all three networks, Maroc Telecom, Orange and inwi; Nomad names Orange. Holafly states no daily cap for your own phone; Nomad gives 2 GB a day at full speed, then 1 Mbps. Holafly needs no app, Nomad does. Pick Nomad for a short trip or a bucket. Pick Holafly for 15 days or a month with no stated cap, or for Maroc Telecom or inwi by name. If the trip is two weeks or a month and you want unlimited, Holafly is not the cheapest: Ringo Light sells 2 weeks at $26.99 and 30 days at $50.99, unlimited data at full speed.

Price: the same trip at each

Priced on 25 October 2026, in US dollars. For 3 days of unlimited, Holafly asks $14.90 and Nomad $14. For a week, $32.50 at Holafly and $27 at Nomad. For 15 days, Holafly asks $59.90 and Nomad sells no 15-day plan; its unlimited stops at 10 days, at $35. For 30 days, Holafly asks $86.90 and Nomad sells none. For 10 GB over 30 days, Nomad asks $21 and Holafly sells no buckets.

Ringo Light sells two trips for Morocco: 2 weeks at $26.99 and 30 days at $50.99. The 2 weeks costs $32.91 less than Holafly's 15 days and $8.01 less than Nomad's 10 days at $35. It also costs $5.51 less than Holafly's 7 days at $32.50 and one cent less than Nomad's 7 days at $27. The 30 days costs $35.91 less than Holafly's $86.90, and Nomad sells no month to compare. Ringo Light sells no 3-day plan: for a long weekend, Nomad at $14 is the cheaper buy.

For a fixed amount of data, Nomad is the only one of the three that sells it: 10 GB for 30 days at $21, 20 GB at $25, 50 GB at $45. Holafly sells no buckets, and Ringo Light sells none either. If 10 GB is all you need, Nomad is cheaper than Ringo Light's $26.99 by $5.99, and we would rather you read that here than at checkout.

What unlimited means at each

Holafly states no daily cap for data on your own phone in Morocco and limits hotspot sharing to 1 GB a day, so if you share data to a laptop every day, Holafly is the one of the two with a stated allowance, but only up to that 1 GB. Nomad gives 2 GB a day at full speed, then slows to 1 Mbps for the rest of the day, and stops at 10 days. Two gigabytes covers maps, messages and photos; an evening of video will hit it. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days, with no daily figure. Fair use policy, see Terms.

Networks and coverage in Morocco, and the SIM rules

Morocco has three networks: Maroc Telecom (also called IAM), Orange and inwi. All three cover the cities, the motorways and the train lines well. Maroc Telecom is usually the strongest in the Atlas and the south. Holafly names all three. Nomad names Orange. Ringo Light rides a local partner network. Past the last towns, on the road over the Tizi n'Tichka pass and out in the dunes of Merzouga, signal thins out on every network. Download offline maps before those drives.

A local SIM is cheap, and the operators sell them at the main airports and in phone shops, but every Moroccan SIM has to be registered with your passport, and top-ups are bought in dirhams. A travel eSIM installs at home before you fly and works from the moment you land.

Installation, app and support

Holafly's app is optional: it sends a QR code you scan in your phone's settings, and its support is by chat. Nomad needs its app to buy, install and top up. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, and support is by email. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly and switch it on for data when you land at Casablanca or Marrakech.

The cheaper third option: Ringo Light

Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Morocco it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $26.99 and 30 days at $50.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.

What it does not do: no buckets, no 3-day or 7-day plan, no phone number, data only. Calls go over apps that use data. If you want 10 GB for a month, Nomad at $21 is the better buy. If you want a long weekend, Nomad at $14 is cheaper than anything we sell. If you want a named network beyond Orange, Holafly is the one. For two weeks or a month of unlimited, Ringo Light is the cheapest of the three, and Nomad sells no month at all.

Each rival's price comes from its own website where it showed dollars, otherwise from an esimdb.com listing, and every source and its date is listed below. We compare the trips people actually book: a week, two weeks and a month of unlimited data, and a 10 GB bucket. We read each brand's fair use and speed rules and quote them as the brands state them. We did not run speed tests, so this page makes no speed claims for any brand.

Ringo Light is our own product. We put it in the table on the same terms as everyone else, and where a rival is the better buy the page says so.

Left out: Airalo, Saily and Ubigi. They sell Morocco too and are priced on the same day in the full comparison at /blog/best-esim-for-morocco. This page answers one question, Holafly or Nomad, so it keeps to those two and the cheaper third option. Left out: A Nomad bar for two weeks and a month.
