Airalo vs Holafly in one paragraph
Holafly is the better of the two for Morocco for most trips. It is cheaper than Airalo where both sell the same length, $14.90 against $17.50 for 3 days and $32.50 against $35 for a week, it is the only one of the two that sells 15 and 30 days, it names all three Moroccan networks, Maroc Telecom, Orange and inwi, it states no daily cap, and it installs from a QR code with no app. Airalo rides Orange only, slows you to 1 Mbps after 3 GB a day, needs its app, and its Morocco unlimited stops at 10 days at $45. Airalo's case is choice: it sells buckets from $6 for 1 GB as well as unlimited days, and Holafly sells no buckets at all. If the trip is two weeks or a month and you want unlimited, neither is the cheapest: Ringo Light sells 2 weeks at $26.99 and 30 days at $50.99, unlimited data at full speed.
Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 25 October 2026, in US dollars, from each brand's own site. For 3 days of unlimited, Airalo asks $17.50 and Holafly $14.90. For a week, $35 at Airalo and $32.50 at Holafly. For 10 days, Airalo asks $45; Holafly's next step is 15 days at $59.90. For 30 days, Holafly asks $86.90 and Airalo sells no 30-day Morocco plan. Holafly wins both rows where the two meet, by $2.60 on 3 days and $2.50 on the week.
Ringo Light sells two trips for Morocco: 2 weeks at $26.99 and 30 days at $50.99. The 2 weeks costs less than half of Holafly's 15 days at $59.90, and less than a week of unlimited at either brand, $35 at Airalo or $32.50 at Holafly. The 30 days costs $35.91 less than Holafly's $86.90. Ringo Light sells no 3-day plan, so for a long weekend Holafly at $14.90 or Airalo at $17.50 is the buy. It sells no 7-day plan either, but its 2 weeks at $26.99 is cheaper than a week at either, with a week of days left over.
For a fixed amount of data, Airalo is the only one of the three that sells it, with buckets from $6 for 1 GB. Its 10 GB for 30 days is $34 and its 20 GB $43, from its esimdb listing dated 5 October 2026. Holafly sells no buckets. Ringo Light sells no buckets either. If a small bucket is all you need, Airalo will be cheaper than Ringo Light's $26.99, and we would rather you read that here than at checkout.
What unlimited means at each
Airalo's unlimited for Morocco gives 3 GB a day at full speed, then slows to 1 Mbps for the rest of the day. That is enough for maps, messages and an hour or two of video; a long evening of streaming will hit it. Holafly states no daily cap for your own phone and limits hotspot sharing to 1 GB a day, so Holafly is the one to pick between the two if you share data to a laptop, but only up to that 1 GB. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Networks and coverage in Morocco
Morocco has three networks: Maroc Telecom (also called IAM), Orange and inwi. All three cover the cities, the motorways and the train lines well. Maroc Telecom is usually the strongest in the Atlas and the south. Airalo names Orange. Holafly names all three, Maroc Telecom, Orange and inwi, so it is the one to pick between the two for the road over the Tizi n'Tichka pass and the south. Ringo Light rides a local partner network. Past the last towns and out in the dunes of Merzouga, signal thins out on every network. Download offline maps before those drives.
Installation, app and support
Airalo needs its app: you buy, install and top up inside it, and that is also where its support chat lives. Holafly needs no app; it sends a QR code you scan in your phone's settings, and support is by chat on its site. Ringo Light needs no app either; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, and support is by email. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly and switch it on for data when you land at Casablanca or Marrakech. A travel eSIM also skips the passport registration every local Moroccan SIM needs.
The cheaper third option: Ringo Light
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Morocco it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $26.99 and 30 days at $50.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.
What it does not do: no buckets, no 3-day plan, no 7-day plan, no phone number, data only. Calls go over apps that use data. For a long weekend, Holafly at $14.90 or Airalo at $17.50 is the buy. For a small bucket, Airalo is. For two weeks or a month of unlimited, Ringo Light is the cheapest of the three by a wide margin: $26.99 against Holafly's $59.90, $50.99 against $86.90, and Airalo sells neither length.
