Airalo vs Nomad in one paragraph

For a fixed amount of data in Jordan, Nomad is cheaper than Airalo at every size both sell: $3 less for 10 GB at $27 against $30, and $12 less for 20 GB at $37 against $49, both lasting 30 days and both on Zain. Nomad also sells 50 GB at $57. Airalo has things Nomad does not: a 1 GB plan for 3 days at $4.50 and an unlimited option, though not a Jordan-only one. It is the Middle East regional plan, $79 for 15 days and $99 for 30, 3 GB a day then 1 Mbps. Pick Nomad for a bucket. Pick Airalo for a tiny short-trip bucket or a regional unlimited. If you want unlimited for two weeks or a month, Ringo Light is cheaper than Airalo's regional plan: 2 weeks at $26.99 and 30 days at $49.99, at full speed.

Price: the same trip at each

Priced on 28 September 2026, in US dollars. For 10 GB lasting 30 days, Nomad asks $27 and Airalo $30. For 20 GB, $37 and $49. Nomad is cheaper on both. Nomad's 50 GB at $57 has no Airalo match for Jordan; Airalo's largest Jordan bucket is the 20 GB at $49.

Neither sells a Jordan-only unlimited. Airalo's unlimited is the Middle East regional plan: $24 for 3 days, $41 for 7, $79 for 15 and $99 for 30. Nomad sells no unlimited for Jordan, so there is no price to compare.

Ringo Light sells two trips for Jordan: 2 weeks at $26.99 and 30 days at $49.99, both unlimited. Our 2 weeks costs $52.01 less than Airalo's 15 days and our 30 days $49.01 less than Airalo's month. Against buckets: our 2 weeks at $26.99 is a cent under Nomad's 10 GB at $27, but it lasts 2 weeks, not 30 days. Nomad's 20 GB at $37 is $12.99 less than our 30 days, and Airalo's 20 GB at $49 is $0.99 less. We would rather you read that here than at checkout.

What unlimited means here

Only Airalo sells unlimited that reaches Jordan, and only on its Middle East regional plan: 3 GB a day at full speed, then 1 Mbps for the rest of the day. Nomad sells no unlimited for Jordan; it sells data in buckets of 10 GB, 20 GB and 50 GB. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms.

Networks and coverage in Jordan

Jordan has three networks: Zain, Orange and Umniah. Airalo and Nomad both name Zain, so for network they are level. Ringo Light rides a local partner network. Coverage is good in Amman, Jerash, Madaba, Petra and Aqaba, and along the main highways between them. In the open desert of Wadi Rum it thins out away from the village and the larger camps, and it fades in the narrow canyons. Download offline maps before you drive the Desert Highway or head into Wadi Rum.

Installation, app and support

Airalo and Nomad both need their apps: you buy and install inside them, and support runs through them. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, and support is by email. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly and switch it on for data when you land.

The cheaper third option: Ringo Light

Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Jordan it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $26.99 and 30 days at $49.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app. The eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan.

What it does not do: no buckets, no 3-day or 7-day plan, no phone number, data only. If you want 20 GB for a month, Nomad at $37 is the better buy. If you want 1 GB for a short stop, Airalo at $4.50 is cheaper than anything we sell. For unlimited for two weeks or a month, Ringo Light is the cheapest of the three.
