Airalo vs Ringo Light in one paragraph
For unlimited, Ringo Light costs less than Airalo at every length both sell, and it stays at full speed while Airalo slows to 1 Mbps after 3 GB a day. Its 2 weeks at $17.99 is under Airalo's 15 days at $48 and even under Airalo's 7 days at $27.
Airalo wins what Ringo Light does not sell: buckets from $4 for 1 GB up to 20 GB at $23, a network it names, and an app. A bucket of 10 GB at $16 is $1.99 under our 2 weeks, and 20 GB at $23 is $6.99 under our 30 days.
So take Ringo Light for 3 days, two weeks or a month of unlimited, and Airalo if you want a bucket that lasts 30 days or a named network.
Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 28 September 2026, in US dollars. Airalo asks $11.50 for 3 days of unlimited, $27 for 7, $48 for 15 and $69 for 30.
Ringo Light sells 3 days at $8.99, 2 weeks at $17.99 and 30 days at $29.99, all unlimited data at full speed. Three days is under Airalo's $11.50, and the 30 days costs less than half of Airalo's $69. Ringo Light has no 7-day plan, but its 2 weeks at $17.99 still costs less than Airalo's 7 days at $27.
For a fixed amount of data only Airalo sells it: 10 GB for 30 days at $16 and 20 GB at $23. Ringo Light sells no bucket. The $16 bucket is $1.99 under our 2 weeks at $17.99, and the $23 bucket is $6.99 under our 30 days at $29.99. We would rather you read that here than at checkout.
What unlimited means at each
Airalo's unlimited gives you 3 GB a day at full speed, then 1 Mbps. That covers maps, messages and some video, and a long day of streaming will hit it. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 3 days, 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Networks and coverage in Singapore
Singapore has four mobile networks: Singtel, StarHub, M1 and Simba. The island is small and dense, and all four cover the city, the MRT underground and Changi well. Signal can drop inside thick buildings and on outlying islands such as Pulau Ubin.
Airalo uses Singtel plus one other network, and Ringo Light rides a local partner network.
Plenty of visitors cross the Causeway to Johor Bahru or carry on into Malaysia. A Singapore plan, ours included, stops at the border. For a trip that continues, look at a regional plan; the full comparison at /blog/best-esim-for-singapore says which brands sell one.
Installation and app
Airalo needs its app, where you buy and install. Ringo Light needs none, as the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, with support by email. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly and switch on data when you land.
What Ringo Light is, and what it is not
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM. For Singapore it sells three trips, all unlimited data at full speed: 3 days at $8.99, 2 weeks at $17.99 and 30 days at $29.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.
What it does not do: no buckets, no 7-day plan, no phone number. It is data only, so calls go over apps that use data. For a fixed bucket, Airalo's 10 GB at $16 is cheaper than our 2 weeks at $17.99.
The full comparison for Singapore, with Holafly, Saily, Nomad and Ubigi priced on the same day, is at /blog/best-esim-for-singapore. The card to buy Ringo Light is further up this page, just after the side-by-side table.
