Airalo vs Saily in one paragraph
Airalo and Saily sell almost the same product for Canada: unlimited days and buckets, 3 GB a day at full speed then 1 Mbps, and an app to buy and install in. The prices are close. Saily is 2 cents cheaper for 15 days, $43.99 against $44.01. Airalo is cheaper for a week by 12 cents, $28.87 against $28.99, for 30 days by $5, $80.99 against $85.99, for 10 GB by $7.99, $23 against $30.99, and for 20 GB by $6.99, $37 against $43.99. Airalo also sells 3 days at $17.61, which Saily does not; Saily's shortest is 5 days at $19.99. Airalo names Bell; Saily names no network on its page. Pick Airalo for nearly any length or bucket. Pick Saily only if its 15 days at $43.99 happens to match your trip. If the trip is two weeks or a month and you want unlimited, neither is the cheapest: Ringo Light sells 2 weeks at $32.99 and 30 days at $57.99, unlimited data at full speed.
Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 25 October 2026, in US dollars, from each brand's own site. For 3 days of unlimited, Airalo asks $17.61; Saily sells no 3-day plan. For a week, $28.87 at Airalo and $28.99 at Saily. For 15 days, $44.01 at Airalo and $43.99 at Saily. For 30 days, $80.99 at Airalo and $85.99 at Saily. Mobile data costs more in Canada than in Europe or Asia, and both price lists show it.
Ringo Light sells two trips for Canada: 2 weeks at $32.99 and 30 days at $57.99. The 2 weeks costs $11.02 less than Airalo's 15 days at $44.01 and $11.00 less than Saily's at $43.99. The 30 days costs $23 less than Airalo's $80.99 and $28 less than Saily's $85.99. Ringo Light sells no 3-day plan and no 7-day plan; for 3 days, Airalo at $17.61 is the cheapest of the three, and for a week, Airalo at $28.87 beats our 2 weeks at $32.99 by $4.12, though our 2 weeks lasts twice as long.
For a fixed amount of data, Airalo sells 10 GB for 30 days at $23 and 20 GB at $37; Saily asks $30.99 and $43.99. Ringo Light sells no buckets. If 10 GB is all you need, Airalo is $9.99 cheaper than Ringo Light's $32.99, and Saily $2.00 cheaper, and we would rather you read that here than at checkout.
What unlimited means at each
Both brands give 3 GB a day at full speed on unlimited for Canada, then slow you to 1 Mbps until the next day. That is enough for maps, messages and an hour or two of video; a long evening of streaming in HD will hit it. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Networks and coverage in Canada
Canada has three national networks, Bell, Rogers and Telus, and Bell and Telus share much of theirs. Freedom Mobile covers the big cities of Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia, Videotron is strongest in Quebec, and SaskTel in Saskatchewan. Airalo names Bell. Saily does not name its network on its listing. Ringo Light rides a local partner network. Any of the three works in Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City, Calgary and Vancouver.
Outside the towns, coverage ends fast. The Icefields Parkway between Lake Louise and Jasper has long stretches with no signal on any network, and so do the back roads of the national parks and the north. Whatever you buy, download offline maps before you drive into the mountains. For the brand that names five networks and switches between them, see Ubigi in the full comparison.
Installation and app
Airalo and Saily both need their apps. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, and support is by email. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly and switch it on for data when you land at Toronto Pearson, Montreal or Vancouver.
The cheaper third option: Ringo Light
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Canada it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $32.99 and 30 days at $57.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.
What it does not do: no buckets, no 3-day plan, no 7-day plan, no phone number, data only. Calls go over apps that use data. If you want 10 GB for a month, Airalo at $23 is the better buy. If you want 3 days, Airalo at $17.61. If you want a week, Airalo at $28.87 is $4.12 cheaper than our 2 weeks at $32.99. For two weeks or a month of unlimited, Ringo Light is the cheapest of the three.

Frequently asked questions
How we compared, and our sources
Airalo, Saily, Ringo Light
We priced Airalo, Saily and Ringo Light for Canada on 25 October 2026, all on the same day, in US dollars. Each rival's price comes from its own website where it showed dollars, otherwise from an esimdb.com listing, and every source and its date is listed below. Ringo Light's prices come from the catalogue our checkout charges.
We compare the trips people actually book: a week, two weeks and a month of unlimited data, and a 10 GB bucket. We read each brand's fair use and speed rules and quote them as the brands state them. We did not run speed tests, so this page makes no speed claims for any brand.
Ringo Light is our own product. We put it in the table on the same terms as everyone else, and where a rival is the better buy the page says so.
Left out: Holafly, Nomad and Ubigi. They sell Canada too and are priced on the same day in the full comparison at /blog/best-esim-for-canada. This page answers one question, Airalo or Saily, so it keeps to those two and the cheaper third option. Left out: Saily at 3 days. Saily sells no 3-day plan for Canada (its shortest is 5 days at $19.99), so there is no like-for-like 3-day price against Airalo's $17.61 and we call neither cheaper.
- Airalo: www.airalo.com/canada-esim?currency=USD, unlimited in dollars on the site, 25 October 2026; buckets and the network from the esimdb listing dated 4 October 2026
- Saily: saily.com/esim-canada/, unlimited and buckets in dollars on its own page, 25 October 2026
- Ringo Light: our own catalogue, the prices the checkout charges on 25 October 2026.
