The short answer

Airalo vs Saily in one paragraph
Airalo is cheaper than Saily for Mexico at every length the two share, by $5.99 on 15 days of unlimited, $9.99 on 30 days, $6.49 on 10 GB and $14.99 on 20 GB. The two work the same way: buckets or unlimited days, an app to buy and install, 3 GB a day at full speed on the unlimited plans. Airalo names its network, Movistar; Saily does not name one on its listing. Saily's one edge is a shorter plan, 5 days of unlimited at $18.99, where Airalo's shortest is 3 days at $10.50. If the trip is a month and you want unlimited, neither is the cheapest: Ringo Light sells 30 days at $57.99, unlimited data at full speed. For two weeks, Ringo Light at $42.99 and Airalo at $43 for 15 days are the same price to the cent.
Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 22 October 2026, in US dollars. Airalo's figures are from its own site and Saily's from an esimdb listing dated 5 October 2026, because saily.com would not load for us. For 15 days of unlimited, Airalo asks $43 and Saily $48.99. For 30 days, $62 at Airalo and $71.99 at Saily. For 10 GB over 30 days, $18.50 and $24.99. For 20 GB, $31 and $45.99. Airalo wins every row the two share.
The short plans do not line up. Airalo sells unlimited for 3 days at $10.50 and 7 days at $23.50. Saily sells no 3-day or 7-day plan; its short ones are 5 days at $18.99 and 10 days at $34.99, and Airalo lists neither length in our snapshot, so we do not put a winner on them.
Ringo Light sells two trips for Mexico: 2 weeks at $42.99 and 30 days at $57.99. The 30 days costs $4.01 less than Airalo's $62 and $14.00 less than Saily's $71.99. The 2 weeks costs a cent less than Airalo's 15 days at $43, and Airalo gives a day more, so call that one a tie; Saily's 15 days at $48.99 costs $6.00 more. Ringo Light sells no 3-day, 7-day or bucket plan; for 10 GB, Airalo at $18.50 is far cheaper than our $42.99, and we would rather you read that here than at checkout.
What unlimited means at each
Airalo's unlimited for Mexico, the Chido plan, gives 3 GB a day at full speed, then slows to 1 Mbps until the next day. Saily also gives 3 GB a day, then slows you; its listing does not state the slower speed. In practice the two feel alike: enough for maps, messages and an hour or two of video, and a long evening of HD streaming will hit the cap. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Networks and coverage in Mexico
Mexico has one big network, Telcel, and two smaller ones, Movistar and AT&T, plus Altan, the shared network other brands rent. Telcel reaches furthest outside the cities, on the highways and in small towns. All of them cover Mexico City, Guadalajara, Oaxaca, Cancun and the Riviera Maya. Airalo rides Movistar. Saily does not name its network on its listing, so we cannot tell you which one you would be on. Ringo Light rides a local partner network.
If you are driving the Yucatan, download the offline map before you leave the coast, whichever eSIM you buy.
Installation and app
Both Airalo and Saily need their app: you buy, install and top up inside it. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly and switch it on for data when you land in Mexico City, Cancun or Guadalajara.
The cheaper third option: Ringo Light
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Mexico it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $42.99 and 30 days at $57.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.
What it does not do: no buckets, no 3-day plan, no 7-day plan, no phone number, data only. Calls go over apps that use data. If you want 10 GB for a month, Airalo at $18.50 is the better buy. If you want 3 days or a week, Airalo at $10.50 and $23.50 is cheaper than anything we sell for Mexico. For two weeks, we are a cent under Airalo and Airalo gives a day more. For a month of unlimited, Ringo Light is the cheapest of the three, $4.01 under Airalo and $14.00 under Saily.
