The short answer
Holafly is cheaper than Saily for Mexico at both lengths the two share: $44.90 against $48.99 for 15 days of unlimited and $66.50 against $71.99 for 30 days. Holafly states no daily cap for your own phone and rides Movistar and Telcel; Saily gives 3 GB a day at full speed, then slows you, on a network its listing does not name. Saily sells buckets and Holafly does not. Ringo Light, the third option, is unlimited data at full speed for 30 days at $57.99, cheaper than both, and 2 weeks at $42.99, cheaper than both 15-day plans.
Unlimited data at full speed for 2 weeks at $42.99, $1.91 under Holafly's 15 days and $6.00 under Saily's. 30 days at $57.99, against $66.50 at Holafly and $71.99 at Saily. Nothing renews, no app. No 3-day or 7-day plan.
$44.90 for 15 days and $66.50 for 30 days of unlimited, days not gigabytes, no daily cap stated for your own phone, on Movistar and Telcel. Also $11.50 for 3 days and $24.50 for a week. Sharing limited to 1 GB a day. No buckets.
10 GB for 30 days at $24.99 and 20 GB at $45.99. Unlimited from $18.99 for 5 days, $34.99 for 10 days, $48.99 for 15 days and $71.99 for 30 days, 3 GB a day, then slowed. Network not named on its listing. Needs its app.

Holafly vs Saily in one paragraph
Holafly is cheaper than Saily for Mexico at both lengths the two share, by $4.09 on 15 days of unlimited and $5.49 on 30 days. It is also the simpler product: unlimited days with no stated daily cap for your own phone, on Movistar and Telcel, where Saily slows you after 3 GB a day on a network it does not name. Saily has two things Holafly lacks: buckets, 10 GB at $24.99 and 20 GB at $45.99, and shorter unlimited plans of 5 and 10 days. Holafly sells 3 days at $11.50 and a week at $24.50, which Saily does not. If the trip is two weeks or a month, neither is the cheapest: Ringo Light sells 2 weeks at $42.99 and 30 days at $57.99, unlimited data at full speed.
Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 22 October 2026, in US dollars. Holafly's figures are from its own site and Saily's from an esimdb listing dated 5 October 2026, because saily.com would not load for us. For 15 days of unlimited, Holafly asks $44.90 and Saily $48.99. For 30 days, $66.50 and $71.99. Holafly wins both rows.
The short plans do not line up. Holafly sells 3 days at $11.50 and 7 days at $24.50. Saily sells no 3-day or 7-day plan; its short ones are 5 days at $18.99 and 10 days at $34.99, and Holafly lists neither length, so we do not put a winner on them. For a bucket, only Saily sells one: 10 GB at $24.99 and 20 GB at $45.99.
Ringo Light sells two trips for Mexico: 2 weeks at $42.99 and 30 days at $57.99. The 2 weeks costs $1.91 less than Holafly's 15 days and $6.00 less than Saily's. The 30 days costs $8.51 less than Holafly's $66.50 and $14.00 less than Saily's $71.99. Ringo Light sells no 3-day, 7-day or bucket plan.
What unlimited means at each
Holafly states no daily cap for your own phone and limits hotspot sharing to 1 GB a day, so it is the one to pick between the two if you share data to a laptop, but only up to that 1 GB. Saily gives 3 GB a day at full speed, then slows you; its listing does not state the slower speed. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Networks and coverage in Mexico
Mexico has one big network, Telcel, and two smaller ones, Movistar and AT&T, plus Altan, the shared network other brands rent. Telcel reaches furthest outside the cities, on the highways and in small towns. All of them cover Mexico City, Guadalajara, Oaxaca, Cancun and the Riviera Maya. Holafly lists Movistar and Telcel. Saily does not name its network on its listing, so between the two Holafly is the one you can check. Ringo Light rides a local partner network.
Holafly's own page says its plan does not work on Holbox Island, Contoy Island and in some remote stretches between Playa del Carmen and Merida. If you are driving the Yucatan, download the offline map before you leave the coast, whichever eSIM you buy.
Installation and app
Saily needs its app: you buy, install and top up inside it. Holafly needs its app only for the data balance. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly and switch it on for data when you land in Mexico City, Cancun or Guadalajara.
The cheaper third option: Ringo Light
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Mexico it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $42.99 and 30 days at $57.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.
What it does not do: no buckets, no 3-day plan, no 7-day plan, no phone number, data only. Calls go over apps that use data. If you want 10 GB, Saily at $24.99 is the better buy of the three and far cheaper than our $42.99. If you want 3 days or a week, Holafly at $11.50 and $24.50 is cheaper than anything we sell for Mexico. For two weeks or a month of unlimited, Ringo Light is the cheapest of the three.
