1 · The short answer
Milano Fashion Week is organised by Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana and held twice a year. The organiser's site lists the next editions as 23 February to 1 March 2027 and 21 to 27 September 2027. Its events are by invitation only, and it warns against third parties selling tickets, so a visitor without an invitation is there for the city rather than the runways.
For a phone, the week means moving fast between venues across Milan, booking tables and rides at the last minute, and sharing photos from crowded streets. Ringo Light's Italy plan gives you unlimited data at full speed across Italy, delivered by email and installed with one scan.
If you live in the EU, EU roaming applies in Italy: your home plan works on the same terms as at home, within its fair use. The Italy plan suits visitors from outside the EU.
Dates: Next editions listed by Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana: 23 February to 1 March 2027 (autumn/winter 2027/28) and 21 to 27 September 2027 (spring/summer 2028). The page lists these as the women's weeks. Organiser's page

2 · Who can go to the shows
The Camera Moda site states that the events of Milano Fashion Week are accessible by invitation only. Buyers, press and guests are accredited through the brands and the organiser. If you do not have an invitation, do not pay a third party for one.
Around the shows the city runs its own programme of open exhibitions, shop events and presentations. Check the organiser's calendar for what is public and for the venues, which change from one season to the next.
3 · Getting there and around
Milan has two main airports, Malpensa and Linate, and a high-speed rail hub at Centrale. Linate is linked to the city by the M4 metro line, and Malpensa by the Malpensa Express rail service to the centre. Check each operator's timetable and current fares.
Inside the city the ATM network of metro, tram and bus covers most show venues. The metro has five lines, and the tram system is the quickest way across districts the metro misses. In fashion week, taxis and ride apps are hard to find at show closing times, so build in extra time.
4 · What your phone has to do
- ✓Maps and tickets. Save every venue address and any invitation in your wallet. Venues move between seasons.
- ✓Transport. ATM Milano's app shows metro, tram and bus times. Check the current rules for paying with a contactless card at the gates.
- ✓Ride apps. Taxi apps work in Milan. Expect long waits and surge pricing as shows end.
- ✓Cashless. Almost everywhere takes cards and phone payments. Keep a card as a backup if your phone battery runs low.
- ✓Photos and uploads. Streets outside popular venues are crowded and uploads slow down. Post once you have moved away.
5 · What else to do in Milan that week
- ✓Quadrilatero della Moda. The shopping streets around Via Montenapoleone, open to everyone.
- ✓Duomo and Galleria. The cathedral and the shopping arcade, two of the city's busiest sights.
- ✓Navigli. The canal district, a good evening area for bars and restaurants.
- ✓Fondazione Prada. An art and exhibition space in the south of the city, reachable by metro and tram.
6 · Booking and planning
Hotels in Milan fill and rise in fashion week, and so do restaurants, so book early. The Salone del Mobile in April is the other week the city fills in this way.
If you travel on to other cities, the same eSIM covers Italy end to end, so there is nothing to change at the border of a region.
