Holafly vs Saily in one paragraph
Saily is cheaper than Holafly for Italy at every length both sell: $22.99 against $23.90 for a week, $43.99 against $44.50 for 15 days and $63.99 against $64.50 for 30 days. Holafly is the only one of the two with a 3-day plan, at $11.90. Holafly gives you the simpler product: unlimited days with no stated daily cap, on two named Italian networks, Vodafone and WindTre. Saily gives you more choice, buckets of 10 GB and 20 GB as well as unlimited, but its unlimited slows to 1 Mbps after 5 GB a day, you need its app, and its page does not name its Italian network. Pick Saily if you want a bucket or the lower price at a week, 15 or 30 days. Pick Holafly for a 3-day trip, or if you never want to think about a daily cap. If you want unlimited for 3 days, two weeks or a month, neither is the cheapest: Ringo Light sells 3 days at $8.99, 2 weeks at $14.99 and 30 days at $26.99, unlimited data at full speed.
Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 25 October 2026, in US dollars. For 3 days of unlimited, Holafly asks $11.90; Saily sells no 3-day plan. For a week, $23.90 at Holafly and $22.99 at Saily. For 15 days, $44.50 at Holafly and $43.99 at Saily. For 30 days, $64.50 at Holafly and $63.99 at Saily. So Saily wins every length both sell, by 91 cents on a week and 51 cents on the longer plans; only Holafly sells 3 days. Italy is where both brands cost the most for a longer stay.
Ringo Light sells three trips for Italy: 3 days at $8.99, 2 weeks at $14.99 and 30 days at $26.99. The 3 days costs less than Holafly's $11.90. The 2 weeks costs about a third of Saily's 15 days at $43.99 or Holafly's at $44.50, and less than either brand charges for a single week, $22.99 and $23.90. The 30 days costs less than half of Saily's $63.99 and Holafly's $64.50. Ringo Light sells no 7-day plan; for exactly a week, you buy its 2 weeks at $14.99 and have a week of days left over.
For a fixed amount of data, Saily is the only one of the three that sells it: 10 GB for 30 days at $20.99, 20 GB at $28.99. Holafly sells no buckets. Ringo Light sells no buckets either. If you need 10 GB to last a whole month, Saily at $20.99 is the better buy than our 30 days at $26.99, and we would rather you read that here than at checkout. If the trip is two weeks, Ringo Light unlimited at $14.99 costs less than Saily's 10 GB.
What unlimited means at each
Saily's unlimited for Italy gives 5 GB a day at full speed, then slows to 1 Mbps until the next day. That is enough for maps, messages and a few hours of video; a long evening of streaming in HD can hit it. Holafly states no daily cap for your own phone and limits hotspot sharing to 1 GB a day, so Holafly is the one to pick between the two if you refuse any cap on your own screen, and Saily is the one with more headroom for sharing to a laptop, up to its 5 GB. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 3 days, 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Networks and coverage in Italy
Holafly rides Vodafone and WindTre, so it has a second network to fall back on where one is thin. Saily's plan page does not name its Italian operator, so we cannot say which network it uses. Ringo Light rides a local partner network. The cities and the fast rail lines between Rome, Florence, Milan and Venice have good 4G and 5G on every Italian network; the Amalfi coast, the Cinque Terre paths and the high valleys of the Dolomites are patchier whichever brand you pick.
Installation, app and support
Saily needs its app: you buy, install and top up inside it, with the cleanest app of the brands we compared. Holafly recommends its app for installing and tracking the plan, and support is by chat on its site. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, and support is by email. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly and switch it on for data when you land.
The cheaper third option: Ringo Light
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Italy it sells three trips, all unlimited data at full speed: 3 days at $8.99, 2 weeks at $14.99 and 30 days at $26.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.
What it does not do: no buckets, no 7-day plan, no phone number, data only. Calls go over apps that use data. If you want 10 GB or 20 GB that lasts a full month, Saily at $20.99 or $28.99 is the one of the two that sells it, and 10 GB at $20.99 costs less than our 30 days at $26.99. For 3 days, two weeks or a month of unlimited, Ringo Light is the cheapest of the three.

We compare the trips people actually book: a week, two weeks and a month of unlimited data, and a 10 GB bucket. We read each brand's fair use and speed rules and quote them as the brands state them. We did not run speed tests, so this page makes no speed claims for any brand.
Ringo Light is our own product. We put it in the table on the same terms as everyone else, and where a rival is the better buy the page says so.
Left out: Airalo and Nomad. They sell Italy too and are priced the same day in the full comparison at /blog/best-esim-for-italy. This page answers one question, Holafly or Saily, so it keeps to those two and the cheaper third option. Left out: Ubigi. It is the cheapest 10 GB bucket for Italy at $12 and the value unlimited at $25 for 15 days, both in the full comparison at /blog/best-esim-for-italy. It is not part of this pair, so it stays there. Left out: Maya Mobile. It lists only a Global plan for Italy, so it stays out rather than being guessed.
