Holafly vs Saily in one paragraph

Saily is cheaper than Holafly for Bulgaria at both lengths the two share: $48.99 against $50.50 for 15 days, and $71.99 against $73.90 for 30 days. Holafly is the only one of the two with a 3-day plan at $11.90 and a 7-day plan at $27.50. Holafly gives you the simpler product: unlimited days with no stated daily cap, installed from a QR code with no app, on A1, Vivacom and Yettel. Saily gives you more choice, buckets of 10 GB and 20 GB as well as unlimited, but its unlimited slows after 5 GB a day, you need its app, and it does not name its network. Saily's listing is dated 15 June 2026, older than Holafly's, so check its price before you buy. Pick Saily if you want a bucket or the lower price at 15 or 30 days. Pick Holafly for a short trip, or if you never want to think about a daily cap. If the trip is two weeks or a month and you want unlimited, neither is the cheapest: Ringo Light sells 2 weeks at $16.99 and 30 days at $26.99, unlimited data at full speed.

Price: the same trip at each

Priced on 28 September 2026, in US dollars. For 3 days of unlimited, Holafly asks $11.90; Saily sells no 3-day plan, and its nearest is 5 days at $18.99. For a week, Holafly asks $27.50; Saily's nearest is 10 days at $34.99. For 15 days, $50.50 at Holafly and $48.99 at Saily. For 30 days, $73.90 and $71.99. So Saily wins both lengths the two share, by $1.51 and by $1.91, and only Holafly sells 3 and 7 days. Holafly's prices are on its own site; Saily's come from the esimdb listing dated 15 June 2026, because saily.com refused the fetch.

Ringo Light sells two trips for Bulgaria: 2 weeks at $16.99 and 30 days at $26.99. The 2 weeks costs about a third of Saily's 15 days at $48.99 or Holafly's at $50.50, and less than Holafly's 7 days at $27.50 or Saily's 5 days at $18.99. The 30 days costs well under half of Saily's $71.99 and Holafly's $73.90. Ringo Light sells no 3-day or 7-day plan; for a long weekend, Holafly at $11.90 is the cheaper buy.

For a fixed amount of data, Saily is the only one of the three that sells it: 10 GB for 30 days at $11.99, 20 GB at $19.99. Holafly sells no buckets. Ringo Light sells no buckets either. If 10 GB is all you need, Saily is cheaper than Ringo Light's $16.99, and its 20 GB at $19.99 costs less than our month at $26.99. We would rather you read that here than at checkout.

What unlimited means at each

Holafly states no daily cap for your own phone and limits hotspot sharing to 1 GB a day, so Holafly is the one to pick between the two if you stream a lot, but only up to that 1 GB if you share. Saily gives 5 GB a day at full speed, then slows you, which is enough for most days of maps, messages and a few hours of video. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms.

Networks and coverage in Bulgaria

Bulgaria has three networks: A1, Vivacom and Yettel, which was called Telenor until 2022. Several brands still list it under the old name. All three cover Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Burgas and the coast resorts, with 5G in the cities. In the Rila, Pirin and Rhodope mountains the signal thins out on every network, so download offline maps before a hike. Holafly lists A1, Vivacom and Yettel, all three. Saily does not name its network on its listing, so you cannot choose by network with Saily. Ringo Light rides a local partner network.

Bulgaria is in the EU. If your home plan is from an EU country, roaming there is usually included at home prices, and you may not need a travel eSIM at all.

Installation and app

Saily needs its own app: you buy and install inside it. Holafly needs no app; it sends a QR code you scan in your phone's settings. Ringo Light needs no app either; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly and switch it on for data when you land in Sofia.

The cheaper third option: Ringo Light

Ringo Light is our own data eSIM. For Bulgaria it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed with no speed cap: 2 weeks at $16.99 and 30 days at $26.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app. The eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan.

What it does not do: no buckets, no 3-day or 7-day plan, no phone number, data only. Calls go over apps that use data. If you want 10 GB for a month, Saily at $11.99 is the better buy. If you want 3 or 7 days, Holafly at $11.90 or $27.50 is cheaper than anything we sell for those lengths. For two weeks or a month of unlimited, Ringo Light is the cheapest of the three, and our 2 weeks at $16.99 costs less than Holafly's 7 days.
