Airalo vs Nomad in one paragraph
Airalo and Nomad answer different questions. Nomad sells buckets only, and its buckets are cheaper: 10 GB for 30 days at $19 against $23.50 at Airalo, 20 GB at $29 against $37. Airalo is cheaper only at 5 GB, $13.50 against $15. Airalo also sells unlimited, which Nomad does not: 3 days at $11.50, a week at $27, 15 days at $49 and 30 days at $73.50, at 3 GB a day at full speed, then 1 Mbps. Nomad rides Orange, Airalo Digicel. Pick Nomad if you know roughly how many gigabytes you need and want to pay least for them. Pick Airalo if you want unlimited days, or the cheapest 5 GB. If you want unlimited for two weeks or a month, neither is the cheapest: Ringo Light sells 2 weeks at $21.99 and 30 days at $35.99, unlimited data at full speed.
Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 28 September 2026, in US dollars. For a fixed amount of data, Nomad asks $15 for 5 GB, $19 for 10 GB and $29 for 20 GB, all for 30 days. Airalo asks $13.50, $23.50 and $37. So Airalo is $1.50 cheaper at 5 GB, and Nomad is $4.50 cheaper at 10 GB and $8 cheaper at 20 GB.
For unlimited, Nomad sells nothing for Guadeloupe. Airalo asks $11.50 for 3 days, $27 for a week, $49 for 15 days and $73.50 for 30 days.
Ringo Light sells two trips for Guadeloupe: 2 weeks at $21.99 and 30 days at $35.99. Against Airalo's unlimited, the 2 weeks costs $27.01 less than 15 days and $5.01 less than 7 days, and the 30 days costs $37.51 less than Airalo's month. Against Nomad's buckets we are dearer, and we say so: our 2 weeks at $21.99 is $2.99 more than Nomad's 10 GB, and our 30 days at $35.99 is $6.99 more than Nomad's 20 GB for the same 30 days. Against Airalo's 20 GB at $37, our month at $35.99 is $1.01 less. We would rather you read that here than at checkout.
What unlimited means at each
Nomad sells no unlimited for Guadeloupe, so this is a question for Airalo and Ringo Light. Airalo's unlimited gives 3 GB a day at full speed, then slows to 1 Mbps for the rest of the day. That is enough for maps, messages and an hour or two of video; a long evening of streaming in HD will hit it. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days. If you buy a Nomad bucket instead, the limit is the bucket: when it runs out, the data stops until you buy more. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Networks and coverage in Guadeloupe
Guadeloupe is shaped like a butterfly. Grande-Terre, the flat eastern wing, has Pointe-à-Pitre, the airport and most of the beach towns. Basse-Terre, the western wing, is mountain and rainforest around La Soufrière. Les Saintes, Marie-Galante and La Désirade lie offshore and are reached by ferry. Orange, SFR Caraïbe and Digicel cover the towns and the coast roads of both wings well. Airalo rides Digicel, Nomad names Orange, and Ringo Light rides a local partner network.
Away from the coast it is patchier. Holafly's own page names parts of the national park, the area around La Soufrière, Les Saintes, Marie-Galante, La Désirade and the boat crossings as places where coverage may be limited or unstable. No travel eSIM changes that. Download offline maps of Basse-Terre before a hike, and save ferry tickets on the phone before you board.
Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin were part of Guadeloupe until 2007 and are separate territories now. A Guadeloupe plan, ours included, does not cover them; check before you fly on.
Installation, app and support
Airalo needs its app, where you buy, install and top up. Nomad's app is optional. Ringo Light needs no app either; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, and support is by email. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly and switch it on for data when you land at Pointe-à-Pitre.
The cheaper third option: Ringo Light
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM. For Guadeloupe it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $21.99 and 30 days at $35.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app. It covers Guadeloupe only, not Martinique, Dominica, Saint-Barthélemy or Saint-Martin.
What it does not do: no buckets, no 3-day or 7-day plan, no phone number, data only. Calls go over apps that use data. If you want 10 GB or 20 GB that lasts a month, Nomad at $19 and $29 is the better buy. If you want 5 GB, Airalo at $13.50 is cheaper than anything we sell. For two weeks or a month of unlimited, Ringo Light is the cheapest of the three, and Nomad sells no unlimited at all.

We compare the trips people actually book: a week, two weeks and a month of unlimited data, and a 10 GB bucket. We read each brand's fair use and speed rules and quote them as the brands state them. We did not run speed tests, so this page makes no speed claims for any brand.
Ringo Light is our own product. We put it in the table on the same terms as everyone else, and where a rival is the better buy the page says so.
Left out: Holafly, Saily and Ubigi. They sell Guadeloupe too and are priced on the same day in the full comparison at /blog/best-esim-for-guadeloupe. This page answers one question, Airalo or Nomad, so it keeps to those two and the cheaper third option. Left out: Maya Mobile. The Guadeloupe comparison does not carry its prices, so it stays out rather than being guessed.
