Airalo vs Nomad in one paragraph
Nomad is cheaper than Airalo at every length and bucket both sell: 50 cents on 3 days, $1.50 on the week, $1.50 on 10 GB and $7.50 on 20 GB. But Nomad stops there for unlimited: it sells no 15-day plan (its 10 days is $33) and no 30-day unlimited, where Airalo sells 15 days at $48.50 and 30 days at $71. Airalo also gives more room each day, 3 GB at full speed against Nomad's 2 GB, before both slow to 1 Mbps. Nomad's app is optional; Airalo's is needed. Pick Nomad for a week or less, or for a bucket, especially 20 GB at $20. Pick Airalo if you want unlimited for 15 or 30 days from one of these two. If you want unlimited for 3 days, two weeks or a month, neither is the cheapest: Ringo Light sells 3 days at $8.99, 2 weeks at $16.99 and 30 days at $32.99, unlimited data at full speed.
Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 25 October 2026, in US dollars. For 3 days of unlimited, $11.50 at Airalo and $11 at Nomad. For a week, $26.50 and $25. For 15 days, $48.50 at Airalo; Nomad sells no 15-day plan, only 10 days at $33. For 30 days, $71 at Airalo; Nomad sells no 30-day unlimited. We leave those two rows unmatched rather than compare different lengths.
Ringo Light sells three trips for Denmark: 3 days at $8.99, 2 weeks at $16.99 and 30 days at $32.99. The 2 weeks costs less than either brand's 7 days, $26.50 at Airalo and $25 at Nomad, with a week of days left over, and about a third of Airalo's 15 days at $48.50. The 30 days costs less than half of Airalo's $71. For 3 days, $8.99 against $11.50 and $11. Ringo Light sells no 7-day plan.
For a fixed amount of data, Nomad is cheaper: 10 GB for 30 days at $16 against $17.50 at Airalo, and 20 GB at $20 against $27.50, a gap of $7.50. Ringo Light sells no buckets. Its 2 weeks of unlimited at $16.99 costs 99 cents more than Nomad's 10 GB and ends after 2 weeks. Nomad's 20 GB at $20 also costs less than our 30 days at $32.99. We would rather you read that here than at checkout.
What unlimited means at each
Airalo's unlimited for Denmark gives 3 GB a day at full speed, then slows to 1 Mbps for the rest of the day. Nomad's gives 2 GB a day at full speed, then 1 Mbps. Both are enough for maps, messages and some video; a long evening of streaming in HD will hit Nomad's cap first. Neither is a brand to pick for hotspot sharing to a laptop all day. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 3 days, 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Networks and coverage in Denmark
Denmark's main networks are TDC, Telia, Telenor and 3. The country is small and flat, and all of them cover Copenhagen, Aarhus, Odense, the motorways and the rail lines. Airalo's plan rides 3. Nomad lists 3 and TDC. Ringo Light rides a local partner network.
A Denmark plan covers Denmark only. On the Oresund Bridge and on the ferry from Helsingor your phone can pick up a Swedish network, which a Denmark plan will not use; if Malmo or Helsingborg is on your list, buy a Europe plan instead.
Installation, app and support
Airalo needs its app: you buy, install and top up inside it, and that is also where its support chat lives. Nomad's app is optional; you can buy on its site and install from a QR code. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, and support is by email. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly and switch it on for data when you land at Copenhagen Airport.
The cheaper third option: Ringo Light
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Denmark it sells three trips, all unlimited data at full speed: 3 days at $8.99, 2 weeks at $16.99 and 30 days at $32.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.
What it does not do: no buckets, no 7-day plan, no phone number, data only. Calls go over apps that use data. If you want 10 GB for a month, Nomad at $16 is the better buy, and its 20 GB at $20 costs less than our 30 days. If you want exactly a week, Nomad at $25 and Airalo at $26.50 both sell one; our 2 weeks at $16.99 costs less than either and lasts twice as long. For 3 days, two weeks or a month of unlimited, Ringo Light is the cheapest of the three.
