The short answer
Airalo sells no unlimited plan for Austria, only buckets: 10 GB for 30 days at $11 and 20 GB at $16. Ringo Light is the opposite, unlimited data at full speed for 3 days at $8.99, 2 weeks at $14.99 or 30 days at $26.99, with no buckets and no 7-day plan. So it comes down to whether you want a fixed amount of data or no limit.
Unlimited data at full speed, $8.99 for 3 days, $14.99 for 2 weeks or $26.99 for 30 days. You pay once, nothing renews, no app. It has no 7-day plan and no buckets.
10 GB for 30 days is $11 and 20 GB is $16. There is no unlimited plan for Austria, and Airalo does not say which network it uses.

Airalo vs Ringo Light in one paragraph
These two sell different things. Airalo has buckets only on its Servus Austria plan, 10 GB for 30 days at $11 and 20 GB at $16. Ringo Light has unlimited data at full speed and no buckets. If a fixed amount of data will do, Airalo is the cheaper buy: its 10 GB beats Ringo Light's 2 weeks at $14.99 and lasts 30 days, and its 20 GB beats the $26.99 for 30 days.
Price: the same trip at each
Airalo has no unlimited plan for Austria, so there is no Airalo price to set against Ringo Light's.
Ringo Light sells three trips for Austria: 3 days at $8.99, 2 weeks at $14.99 and 30 days at $26.99, all unlimited data at full speed. It sells no 7-day plan.
Buckets are where Airalo is cheaper. 10 GB for 30 days is $11, less than Ringo Light's 2 weeks at $14.99, and it lasts 30 days against 2 weeks. 20 GB is $16, less than Ringo Light's 30 days at $26.99, for the same 30 days. Ringo Light sells no buckets. We would rather you read that here than at checkout.
What unlimited means at each
Airalo has nothing unlimited for Austria, because the Servus Austria plan is a fixed amount of data. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 3 days, 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Networks and coverage in Austria
Austria has three networks: A1, Magenta and 3, also called Drei. All three cover Vienna, Salzburg, Innsbruck and Graz well, and the main rail lines. The Alps are the hard part. Deep valleys, high passes and the national parks have gaps on every network.
Airalo does not name its Austrian network and Ringo Light rides a local partner network. None of the brands in the full comparison names Magenta. If you plan to hike or drive the high roads, download offline maps before you leave the valley, whichever eSIM you buy.
Installation, app and support
Airalo needs no app in Austria, since you can buy on its site or in its app. Ringo Light needs no app: the eSIM arrives by email in seconds, installs in one scan, and support is by email. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly and switch it on for data when you land.
What Ringo Light is, and what it is not
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM. For Austria it sells three trips, all unlimited data at full speed: 3 days at $8.99, 2 weeks at $14.99 and 30 days at $26.99. You pay once, nothing renews and there is no app.
What it does not do: no buckets, no 7-day plan, no phone number. It is data only, and calls go over apps that use data. If you want 10 GB for a month, Airalo sells it at $11. If you want exactly a week, Ringo Light has no 7-day plan, and its 2 weeks at $14.99 is the nearest length.
Holafly, Saily, Nomad and Ubigi are priced the same day in the full comparison for Austria, at /blog/best-esim-for-austria. The card to buy Ringo Light is further up this page, just after the side-by-side table.
