1 · The short answer
Every travel eSIM sells Vienna as part of an Austria plan or a Europe plan. We priced the six that get most of the traffic on the same day, for a long weekend, a week in the city and two weeks with side trips, and looked at what your phone does between the airport, the U-Bahn and the coffee houses.
2 weeks of unlimited data at $14.99, less than any rival here charges for 7 days. 30 days at $26.99. Nothing renews.
3 days of unlimited at $10 on EUconnect, its Europe plan, 3 GB a day at full speed. Ringo Light sells no 3-day plan.
10 GB for 30 days at $10.99, with Airalo and Ubigi at $11.
Days, not gigabytes, on 3 Austria, installed from a QR code. $27.50 for a week.
Prices read on 12 October 2026: Airalo, Holafly, Saily, Nomad, Ubigi on their own sites or listings, Ringo Light from its catalogue. All in US dollars unless stated. Treat every number as a snapshot.

2 · The prices, charted
US dollars, 12 October 2026. Airalo sells no Austria-only unlimited plan, so its bar is EUconnect, a Europe plan. Ubigi's bar is its Europe plan, 30 GB at full speed, then 2 Mbps. Nomad stops at 10 days.
The 30-day plan at each brand. Ubigi's month is 60 GB at full speed, then 2 Mbps. Airalo's is EUconnect, a Europe plan. Nomad sells no 30-day plan.
Holafly sells no buckets. Ringo Light sells no bucket either: its 2 weeks is unlimited and lasts 2 weeks, not 30 days.

4 · What to do in Vienna, and what your phone does for you there
Seven places for a first visit, from the cathedral at the centre to the palace gardens and the Prater wheel. All are on the U-Bahn or a tram.
5 · Getting online at Vienna Airport
Vienna International Airport at Schwechat has 4G and 5G at every gate. Switch your eSIM on when you land. The City Airport Train runs nonstop to Wien Mitte in about a quarter of an hour, and the cheaper S-Bahn S7 takes a little longer on the same route.
Tickets for the airport trains and the city network are sold in the Wiener Linien app and the OBB app, so you can buy on the platform without queueing at a machine.
6 · The U-Bahn, trams and your phone
The U-Bahn has mobile coverage in its stations and tunnels, so your phone keeps working underground. The trams around the Ringstrasse are a slow, easy way to see the city. One ticket covers the U-Bahn, trams and buses inside the city, and the WienMobil app plans routes across all of them.
Vienna is a city of cafés, and most have Wi-Fi, but a data plan saves you from logging in at every stop.
7 · Bratislava, Budapest and Prague from Vienna
Bratislava is about an hour by train, Budapest under three hours and Prague about four, and many Vienna trips include one of them. An Austria plan stops at the border. Ringo Light's Austria trip covers Austria only; its Europe trip, at $22.99 for 2 weeks, covers Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, the Czech Republic and the rest of the 33 countries it lists, on one eSIM.
If you stay in Austria, Salzburg is under three hours west by train and the Wachau valley an hour up the Danube.
8 · Which plan fits a Vienna trip
A long weekend: Airalo's Europe plan sells 3 days of unlimited at $10 and Nomad at $11. Ringo Light sells no 3-day plan, so for two or three nights one of those is the better buy.
A week: A week of unlimited costs $19 at Ubigi (20 GB, then 2 Mbps), $23.50 on Airalo's Europe plan, $25 at Nomad and $27.50 at Holafly. Ringo Light sells no 7-day plan, but its 2 weeks of unlimited data costs $14.99, less than any of those weeks. You simply have days left over.
Two weeks or a month: Ringo Light 2 weeks at $14.99 or 30 days at $26.99. Both cover all of Austria, Vienna included, with nothing to change when you leave the city.
9 · What Ringo Light is
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Austria, Vienna included, it sells two trips, both unlimited data: 2 weeks at $14.99 and 30 days at $26.99. Nothing renews. Fair use policy, see Terms. The eSIM arrives by email and installs in one scan, no app.
If a fixed amount of data is enough, Austria is the one country here where the buckets are cheap: 10 GB for 30 days costs $10.99 at Saily and $11 at Airalo and Ubigi, all less than our 2 weeks at $14.99. Ringo Light sells no buckets; what it sells is unlimited data for the whole trip. The card to buy it is further up this page, just after the side-by-side table.

12 · How we compared, and our sources
We priced Airalo, Holafly, Saily, Nomad, Ubigi and Ringo Light for Vienna on 12 October 2026, all on the same day, in US dollars. Each rival's price comes from its own website where it showed dollars, otherwise from an esimdb.com listing, and every source and its date is listed below. Ringo Light's prices come from the catalogue our checkout charges.
We compare the trips people actually book: a week, two weeks and a month of unlimited data, and a 10 GB bucket. We read each brand's fair use and speed rules and quote them as the brands state them. We did not run speed tests, so this page makes no speed claims for any brand.
Ringo Light is our own product. We put it in the table on the same terms as everyone else, and where a rival is the better buy the page says so.
Left out: Maya Mobile. We could not read its own prices for this country on the day, so it stays out rather than being guessed.
