Airalo vs Saily in one paragraph
Airalo is cheaper than Saily at every length both sell in Croatia: by $10.49 on 15 days, $13.49 on 30 days, $0.99 on 10 GB and $2.49 on 20 GB. Airalo also sells 3 days at $9.50 and a week at $24.50; Saily sells neither. Saily gives more headroom on its unlimited, 5 GB a day at full speed against Airalo's 3 GB, before both slow to 1 Mbps. Both need their own app. One caution: every Saily price here comes from an esimdb listing dated 14 June 2026, because we could not read saily.com on the day, and Saily does not name its network there. Pick Airalo if you want the lower price or a short plan. Pick Saily if you share data to a laptop and want the larger daily allowance. If the trip is two weeks or a month and you want unlimited, neither is the cheapest: Ringo Light sells 2 weeks at $16.99 and 30 days at $26.99, unlimited data at full speed.
Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 28 September 2026, in US dollars. For 3 days, only Airalo sells it, at $9.50; Saily sells no such plan. For a week, only Airalo sells it, at $24.50; Saily sells no such plan. For 15 days of unlimited, $38.50 at Airalo and $48.99 at Saily, so Airalo is cheaper by $10.49. For 30 days of unlimited, $58.50 at Airalo and $71.99 at Saily, so Airalo is cheaper by $13.49.
Ringo Light sells two trips for Croatia: 2 weeks at $16.99 and 30 days at $26.99, both unlimited data at full speed. The 2 weeks costs $21.51 less than the cheapest 15 days here ($38.50) and $32 less than the other ($48.99). It also costs less than Airalo's 7 days, from $24.50, with a week of days left over. The 30 days at $26.99 is $31.51 below the cheapest 30-day unlimited here, $58.50. Ringo Light sells no 3-day plan: for a long weekend, Airalo at $9.50 is the cheaper buy.
For a fixed amount of data, both sell it: 10 GB for 30 days at $17 at Airalo and $17.99 at Saily, so Airalo is cheaper by $0.99; 20 GB at $25.50 and $27.99, Airalo cheaper by $2.49. Ringo Light sells no buckets. If 10 GB is all you need and it must last a month, Airalo is the better buy, and we would rather you read that here than at checkout.
One caveat on Saily: every Saily price here comes from the esimdb listing dated 14 June 2026, because we could not read saily.com on the day. Check the price at checkout before you rely on it.
What unlimited means at each
Airalo's unlimited for Croatia gives 3 GB a day at full speed, then 1 Mbps. Saily's unlimited for Croatia gives 5 GB a day at full speed, then 1 Mbps. A cap of a few gigabytes a day is enough for maps, messages and photos on a normal day; a long evening of video or a laptop on the hotspot will hit it sooner. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days, with no daily figure. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Networks and coverage in Croatia
Croatia has three networks: Hrvatski Telekom, A1 and Telemach. All three cover the cities, the coast road and the big islands like Hvar, Brač and Korčula. Signal thins on the small islands, in the mountains and deep inside the national parks. Airalo: Telemach and one other. Saily: Saily does not name its network on its listing. Ringo Light rides a local partner network. None of the brands in the full comparison names Hrvatski Telekom. The coast between Split and Dubrovnik is cut by a few kilometres of Bosnia and Herzegovina at Neum, and a Croatia plan will not work there; download your map before you leave Split.
Installation, app and support
Airalo needs its app: you buy, install and top up inside it, and that is also where its support chat lives. Saily needs its app: you buy, install and top up inside it, and that is also where its support chat lives. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, and support is by email. Whichever you pick, install it at home on Wi-Fi and switch it on for data when you land in Split, Dubrovnik or Zagreb.
The cheaper third option: Ringo Light
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Croatia it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $16.99 and 30 days at $26.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.
What it does not do: no buckets, no 3-day or 7-day plan, no phone number, data only. Calls go over apps that use data. If you want 10 GB for a month, Airalo at $17 is the better buy of these. For two weeks or a month of unlimited, Ringo Light is the cheapest of the three.
