The short answer
Airalo is cheaper than Saily on the two lengths they share, by $0.99 on 15 days ($48 against $48.99) and $2.99 on 30 days ($69 against $71.99). Only Airalo sells 3 days at $11.50 and a week at $27, since Saily has no 3-day plan (its nearest is 5 days at $18.99) and no 7-day Hungary plan. Ringo Light, our third option, is unlimited data at full speed, priced at $8.99 for 3 days, $14.99 for 2 weeks and $26.99 for 30 days, and it sells no 7-day plan.
Unlimited data at full speed: $8.99 for 3 days, $14.99 for 2 weeks and $26.99 for 30 days. One payment, nothing renews, no app. There is no 7-day plan and no bucket.

Airalo vs Saily in one paragraph
Airalo is cheaper than Saily where they overlap, by $0.99 on 15 days and $2.99 on 30. Only Airalo sells 3 days and a week here. Buckets are almost a tie: Saily's 10 GB and 20 GB are each a cent under Airalo's. Airalo gives 3 GB a day at full speed, then 1 Mbps; Saily gives 5 GB a day at full speed, then slowed. For two weeks or a month of unlimited, neither is the cheapest: Ringo Light is $14.99 and $26.99, unlimited data at full speed.
Price: the same trip at each
Prices are in US dollars, taken on 28 September 2026. For 15 days Airalo is $48 and Saily $48.99, which puts Airalo $0.99 lower. For 30 days it is $69 against $71.99, $2.99 lower. Airalo's 3 days at $11.50 and week at $27 have no Saily equivalent, because Saily has no 3-day plan (its nearest is 5 days at $18.99) and no 7-day Hungary plan, so we leave them out. One caution: Saily's listing is from 15 June 2026, not the pricing day, because saily.com refused the fetch, so read its prices with that in mind.
Ringo Light is cheaper than both. Three days is $8.99, under Airalo's $11.50. Two weeks is $14.99, under 15 days at either brand ($48 and $48.99) and under Airalo's single week at $27, with a week spare. Thirty days is $26.99, against $69 and $71.99.
Both brands sell buckets, and the prices are almost the same. Airalo has 10 GB for 30 days at $19 and 20 GB at $32; Saily has 10 GB at $18.99 and 20 GB at $31.99. Ringo Light has none. Our 2 weeks at $14.99 is less than either 10 GB bucket, but it is unlimited data at full speed and ends after 2 weeks. Our 30 days at $26.99 is less than either 20 GB bucket. We would rather you read that here than at checkout. Ubigi's 10 GB for 30 days at $11 is cheaper than our 2 weeks at $14.99, and the full comparison at /blog/best-esim-for-hungary has it.
What unlimited means at each
Airalo's unlimited for Hungary, the Szia! plan, gives 3 GB a day at full speed and then 1 Mbps. Saily's gives 5 GB a day at full speed and then slowed. Both cope with maps, messages and photos; HD streaming all evening or a laptop on the hotspot is where a daily limit starts to bite. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole trip. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Networks and coverage in Hungary
Hungary has three networks. Magyar Telekom has the widest rural coverage, and none of the brands here names it. Yettel was called Telenor until 2022 and One was Vodafone Hungary until 2024, which is why several brands still say Vodafone. All three cover Budapest, Lake Balaton and the main towns well, with 5G in the cities. Airalo lists Vodafone and Yettel. Saily does not name its network on its listing, and Ringo Light uses a local partner network.
Hungary is in the EU, so a home plan from another EU country usually roams there at home prices. If that is you, you may not need a travel eSIM at all.
Installation and app
Airalo and Saily both make you buy and install inside their apps. Ringo Light needs no app: the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan. Whichever you pick, install at home before you fly and switch on data when you land.
The cheaper third option: Ringo Light
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM. For Hungary it sells three trips, all unlimited data at full speed: 3 days at $8.99, 2 weeks at $14.99 and 30 days at $26.99. You pay once, nothing renews, and there is no app.
It is not for everyone. There are no buckets, no 7-day plan and no phone number, and calls go over apps that use data. If you want a fixed bucket that lasts 30 days, Airalo and Saily sell it. For two weeks or a month of unlimited data at full speed, Ringo Light is the cheapest of the three.
Every brand we price for Hungary is in the full comparison at /blog/best-esim-for-hungary, all on the same day. The card to buy Ringo Light is further up this page, after the side-by-side table.
