Airalo vs Saily in one paragraph

The two are close. Saily is cheaper than Airalo for unlimited in the USA at every length both sell, but only by a cent: $24.99 against $25 for a week, $45.99 against $46 for 15 days, $67.99 against $68 for 30 days. Airalo is cheaper for buckets, by 49 cents: 10 GB for 30 days at $22.50 against $22.99, and 20 GB at $36.50 against $36.99. Airalo also sells a 3-day plan at $11.50, which Saily does not; Saily's shortest unlimited is 5 days at $17.99. Both give 5 GB a day at full speed on unlimited, both need their own app, and Airalo names T-Mobile and one other network where Saily does not name its network. Pick Airalo for 3 days or a bucket, and either one for a week or longer. If the trip is two weeks or a month and you want unlimited, neither is the cheapest: Ringo Light sells 2 weeks at $17.99 and 30 days at $22.99, unlimited data at full speed.

Price: the same trip at each

Priced on 25 October 2026, in US dollars. For 3 days of unlimited, Airalo asks $11.50; Saily sells no 3-day plan. For a week, $25 at Airalo and $24.99 at Saily. For 15 days, $46 at Airalo and $45.99 at Saily. For 30 days, $68 at Airalo and $67.99 at Saily. Saily wins every unlimited length both sell, by one cent each time; that is not a reason to choose it on its own.

Ringo Light sells two trips for the USA: 2 weeks at $17.99 and 30 days at $22.99. The 2 weeks costs less than Airalo's 15 days at $46, less than Saily's 15 days at $45.99, and less than either brand's week, $25 and $24.99. It costs the same as Saily's 5 days at $17.99, with nine more days. The 30 days costs about a third of the $68 and $67.99 the two rivals ask. Ringo Light sells no 3-day plan; for 3 days, Airalo at $11.50 is the buy.

For a fixed amount of data, Airalo is the cheaper of the two by 49 cents: 10 GB for 30 days at $22.50 against $22.99, 20 GB at $36.50 against $36.99. Ringo Light sells no buckets. Its 2 weeks of unlimited at $17.99 costs less than either brand's 10 GB, and its 30 days at $22.99 costs less than either brand's 20 GB, with no cap on top.

What unlimited means at each

Airalo's unlimited for the USA, its Change plan, gives 5 GB a day at full speed, then slows to 1 Mbps for the rest of the day. Saily's unlimited also gives 5 GB a day at full speed, then slows you; its page does not say to what speed. That is a generous allowance for maps, messages, calls over apps and several hours of video; a day of HD streaming or a big download will hit it. On this point the two are level. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms.

Networks and coverage in the USA

The USA has three national networks: AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon. All three cover the cities and the interstates well. Away from them, coverage differs by network and by state, and every network has gaps in the big national parks, in the desert and in the mountains. Airalo names T-Mobile and one other network. Saily does not name its network on its listing, so we cannot tell you which it uses. Ringo Light rides a local partner network. For New York, Chicago, Las Vegas or San Francisco, any of the three works. For long drives in the West, download offline maps whatever eSIM you buy.

Every plan on this page is data only, with no American phone number. Calls and messages go over WhatsApp, iMessage or FaceTime. A few services, such as some restaurant waitlists and bank codes, want a US number by text message; for those, keep your own line on for texts, or use Wi-Fi calling.

Installation, app and support

Airalo and Saily both need their own app: you buy, install and top up inside it, and that is also where support chat lives. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, and support is by email. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly and switch it on for data when you land at JFK, LAX or O'Hare.

The cheaper third option: Ringo Light

Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For the USA it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $17.99 and 30 days at $22.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.

What it does not do: no buckets, no 3-day plan, no 7-day plan, no phone number, data only. Calls go over apps that use data. If you want 3 days, Airalo at $11.50 is the buy. If you want a fixed 10 GB, Airalo at $22.50 and Saily at $22.99 are buckets we do not sell, though our 2 weeks of unlimited costs less than both. For a week, two weeks or a month of unlimited, Ringo Light is the cheapest of the three.

How we compared, and our sources

Airalo, Saily, Ringo Light

We priced Airalo, Saily and Ringo Light for United States on 25 October 2026, all on the same day, in US dollars. Each rival's price comes from its own website where it showed dollars, otherwise from an esimdb.com listing, and every source and its date is listed below. Ringo Light's prices come from the catalogue our checkout charges.

We compare the trips people actually book: a week, two weeks and a month of unlimited data, and a 10 GB bucket. We read each brand's fair use and speed rules and quote them as the brands state them. We did not run speed tests, so this page makes no speed claims for any brand.

Ringo Light is our own product. We put it in the table on the same terms as everyone else, and where a rival is the better buy the page says so.

Left out: Holafly, Nomad and Ubigi. They sell the USA too and are priced on the same day in the full comparison at /blog/best-esim-for-usa. This page answers one question, Airalo or Saily, so it keeps to those two and the cheaper third option. Left out: Maya Mobile. We could not read its own prices for this country on the day, so it stays out rather than being guessed.
