1 · The short answer
The 2027 Masters runs from Monday 5 to Sunday 11 April at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia, with practice rounds early in the week and the four tournament rounds from Thursday to Sunday.
The Masters is different from every other event on this list: mobile phones are not permitted on the grounds during the tournament. That makes your phone more important before and after the gate, for flights, the drive, parking and your evening plans. Ringo Light's United States plan covers Augusta, Atlanta and the rest of the country with unlimited data at full speed; it arrives by email and installs in one scan.

2 · No phones on the course
Augusta National's patron rules prohibit mobile phones, and people who bring one in risk losing their badge. Leave your phone in the car or hotel. The club provides free public telephones on the grounds for calls within the US, and the scoreboards around the course are manual and famously clear.
Plan for that. Agree a meeting point and time with your group, such as a specific scoreboard or the big oak tree by the clubhouse, before you go in. Take a photo of your parking area on your phone before you leave it in the car, and write the details on paper too.
3 · Getting to Augusta
Augusta Regional Airport is closest but small, and seats sell out early for Masters week. Many visitors fly into Atlanta and drive about two and a half hours east on I-20, or into Columbia, South Carolina. The Masters offers free parking on Washington Road, with shuttles and short walks to the gates.
You will rely on your phone for the drive, rental car pickup, and finding your parking lot. A maps app with offline areas downloaded is a good idea for the rural stretches of I-20.
4 · Tickets and the lottery
- ✓The ticket lottery. Practice round and tournament day tickets are sold by random selection. Applications are made on the official Masters ticket site, usually in the summer of the year before; check tickets.masters.com for the current window.
- ✓Badges are personal. Tickets are linked to the person who applied, and the Masters warns against buying from unofficial resellers.
- ✓The Masters app. Use it at the hotel, before or after your day, for live coverage, scores and course maps; you cannot use it on the grounds.
- ✓Paying on site. The concessions are famous for their modest prices. Bring a card, and check the official patron guide for accepted payments.
5 · Augusta and beyond
Augusta's Riverwalk along the Savannah River is a pleasant evening walk, with restaurants on Broad Street nearby. Many visitors combine the week with a few days in Savannah, about two and a half hours south, or in Atlanta on the way in or out.
6 · Around the Masters
The course is a phone free zone; the rest of the trip is not.
