Holafly vs Saily in one paragraph

Saily is cheaper than Holafly for the Netherlands at every length both sell: by $0.51 on the week, $1.51 on 15 days and $1.91 on 30 days. Holafly gives you the simpler product: unlimited days with no stated daily cap, installed from a QR code with no app, on KPN and Vodafone, and a 3-day plan at $11.90 that Saily does not sell. Saily gives you buckets, 10 GB at $17.99 and 20 GB at $26.99, which Holafly does not sell, but its unlimited slows after 5 GB a day, it names no network and you need its app. Pick Holafly if you stream all evening and never want to think about a daily cap, or for 3 days. Pick Saily if you want a bucket or the lower price of the two. If the trip is two weeks or a month and you want unlimited, neither is the cheapest: Ringo Light sells 2 weeks at $14.99 and 30 days at $26.99, unlimited data at full speed.

Price: the same trip at each

Priced on 25 October 2026, in US dollars. For 3 days of unlimited, Holafly asks $11.90 and Saily sells no 3-day plan; its nearest is 5 days at $18.99. For a week, $27.50 at Holafly and $26.99 at Saily. For 15 days, $50.50 at Holafly and $48.99 at Saily. For 30 days, $73.90 at Holafly and $71.99 at Saily. Saily wins every row both sell.

For a fixed amount of data, Saily is the only one of the two that sells it: 10 GB for 30 days at $17.99, 20 GB at $26.99. Holafly sells no buckets.

Ringo Light sells three trips for the Netherlands: 3 days at $8.99, 2 weeks at $14.99 and 30 days at $26.99. The 3 days costs less than Holafly's $11.90. The 2 weeks costs less than either brand's week, with a week of days left over, and less than a third of their 15 days. The 30 days is $26.99 against $73.90 and $71.99. Ringo Light sells no buckets and no 7-day plan.

What unlimited means at each

Holafly states no daily cap for data on your own phone in the Netherlands and limits hotspot sharing to 1 GB a day. Saily gives 5 GB a day at full speed, then slows. Holafly is the one to pick between the two if you stream a lot in one day. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 3 days, 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms.

Networks and roaming in the Netherlands

The Netherlands has three networks: KPN, Vodafone and Odido, the old T-Mobile. The country is small and flat, and all three cover it with 4G and 5G, trains included. Coverage thins only on parts of the Wadden islands and in the Frisian countryside. Holafly rides KPN and Vodafone. Saily names no network for the Netherlands on its listing. Ringo Light rides a local partner network and names none.

If your phone plan is from another EU country, you roam here at home prices within a fair use limit, and you may not need a travel eSIM at all. Travellers from the US, the UK, Canada or Australia usually pay a daily roaming fee, and that is where a travel eSIM saves money.

Installation, app and support

Holafly needs no app; it sends a QR code you scan in your phone's settings. Saily needs its app: you buy, install and manage the plan inside it. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, and support is by email. Whichever you pick, install it at home on Wi-Fi before you fly and switch it on for data when you land at Schiphol.

The cheaper third option: Ringo Light

Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For the Netherlands it sells three trips, all unlimited data at full speed: 3 days at $8.99, 2 weeks at $14.99 and 30 days at $26.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.

What it is not: it is data only, with no phone number. It sells no buckets and no 7-day plan, and it names no network. If you want a fixed 10 GB, Saily at $17.99 is the bucket to buy. For unlimited at 3 days, two weeks or a month, Ringo Light is the cheapest of the three.
