Airalo vs Nomad in one paragraph
Nomad is cheaper than Airalo for Saudi Arabia everywhere the two sell the same thing: $12 against $12.50 for 3 days, $25 against $27 for a week, $18 against $25.50 for 10 GB and $31 against $42 for 20 GB. Both ride stc, the largest Saudi network, and both need their app. Airalo gives you more on unlimited: 3 GB a day at full speed against Nomad's 2 GB, and it sells 15 and 30 days, where Nomad stops at 10 days. Pick Nomad for a few days or a bucket. Pick Airalo if you want one unlimited plan for two weeks or a month and Nomad does not sell it. If the trip is two weeks or a month and you want unlimited, neither is the cheapest: Ringo Light sells 2 weeks at $22.99 and 30 days at $50.99, unlimited data at full speed.
Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 25 October 2026, in US dollars, from each brand's own site. For 3 days of unlimited, Airalo asks $12.50 and Nomad $12, 50 cents less. For a week, $27 at Airalo and $25 at Nomad, $2 less. For 10 GB over 30 days, $25.50 at Airalo and $18 at Nomad, $7.50 less. For 20 GB, $42 at Airalo and $31 at Nomad, $11 less. Nomad wins every row of the two that both sell.
Beyond a week the two stop lining up. Airalo sells 15 days at $54 and 30 days at $97. Nomad sells 10 days at $33 and nothing longer, and we have no Airalo 10-day price, so we do not say which is cheaper at that length.
Ringo Light sells two trips for Saudi Arabia: 2 weeks at $22.99 and 30 days at $50.99. The 2 weeks costs less than Airalo's 15 days at $54, less than Nomad's 10 days at $33, and less than either brand's week, $27 at Airalo and $25 at Nomad. The 30 days costs $46.01 less than Airalo's $97, and Nomad sells no month. Ringo Light sells no 3-day plan: for a long weekend, Nomad at $12 is the cheapest of the three.
For a fixed amount of data, Nomad and Airalo both sell it and Ringo Light does not. If you want 20 GB over a month and no more, Nomad at $31 is cheaper than our 30 days at $50.99, and we would rather you read that here than at checkout.
What unlimited means at each
Airalo's unlimited for Saudi Arabia gives 3 GB a day at full speed, then slows to 1 Mbps for the rest of the day. Nomad gives 2 GB a day at full speed, then 1 Mbps. Either is enough for maps, messages, Nusuk and a video call home; a long evening of streaming in HD will hit the cap sooner on Nomad. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Umrah and Hajj: Makkah and Madinah
Umrah and Hajj run on your phone now. The Nusuk app, from the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, is where you get the Umrah permit and book a slot to pray in the Rawdah at the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah. Install it and sign in before you fly, while you still have your home connection for the verification codes, and keep your permits on the phone, not only in an email.
The strain in Makkah and Madinah comes from crowds, not coverage: in Ramadan and during the Hajj days in Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah, millions of phones share the same masts and data slows for everyone, whatever eSIM you carry, Airalo or Nomad. Download your maps, prayer times and group chat photos when the crowds are thin, and carry a power bank.
For an Umrah of up to two weeks, Ringo Light's 2 weeks at $22.99 is the cheapest unlimited in the full comparison. For Hajj, most packages run three to five weeks; our 30 days at $50.99 covers most of them. If your group stays longer than 30 days, buy the 30 days and a 2 weeks when it ends.
Networks and coverage in Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia has three networks: stc, the largest, Mobily and Zain. All three have 5G in Riyadh, Jeddah, Makkah, Madinah and Dammam. stc reaches furthest along the desert highways and into small towns; out on the road to AlUla, the Edge of the World or the Asir villages, signal thins out on every network. Airalo and Nomad both name stc, so on coverage they are the same; the choice between them is price, daily cap and plan length. Ringo Light rides a local partner network. For the cities and the holy sites, any of the three works.
Installation, app and support
Airalo and Nomad both need their app: you buy, install and top up inside it. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, and support is by email. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly and switch it on for data when you land. A travel eSIM bought online needs no passport or fingerprint check at an airport counter, unlike a local SIM.
The cheaper third option: Ringo Light
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Saudi Arabia it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $22.99 and 30 days at $50.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.
What it does not do: no buckets, no 3-day plan, no 7-day plan, no phone number, data only. Calls go over apps that use data. If you want 3 days, Nomad at $12 is the better buy. If you want 10 GB for a month, Nomad at $18 is cheaper than our 2 weeks at $22.99, and 20 GB at $31 is cheaper than our 30 days. For two weeks or a month of unlimited, Ringo Light is the cheapest of the three, and our 2 weeks at $22.99 costs less than Nomad's 7 days at $25.

Frequently asked questions
How we compared, and our sources
Airalo, Nomad, Ringo Light
We priced Airalo, Nomad and Ringo Light for Saudi Arabia on 25 October 2026, all on the same day, in US dollars. Each rival's price comes from its own website where it showed dollars, otherwise from an esimdb.com listing, and every source and its date is listed below. Ringo Light's prices come from the catalogue our checkout charges.
We compare the trips people actually book: a week, two weeks and a month of unlimited data, and a 10 GB bucket. We read each brand's fair use and speed rules and quote them as the brands state them. We did not run speed tests, so this page makes no speed claims for any brand.
Ringo Light is our own product. We put it in the table on the same terms as everyone else, and where a rival is the better buy the page says so.
Left out: Holafly, Saily and Ubigi. They sell Saudi Arabia too and are priced on the same day in the full comparison at /blog/best-esim-for-saudi-arabia. This page answers one question, Airalo or Nomad, so it keeps to those two and the cheaper third option. Left out: Nomad at two weeks and a month. Nomad sells no 2-week plan and no 30-day unlimited, only 10 days at $33. We have no Airalo 10-day price, so the two are not compared at that length and Nomad has no bar in the two-week and month charts. Left out: Maya Mobile. We could not read its own prices for this country on the day, so it stays out rather than being guessed.
