The short answer
Airalo is the travel eSIM most people already know, and it sells a Saudi Arabia plan on stc at every length from 3 days to 30. Ringo Light sells two trips, 2 weeks at $22.99 and 30 days at $50.99, both unlimited data at full speed. For about two weeks Airalo asks $54 and for a month $97. For 3 days, a week or a fixed bucket of data, Airalo sells what Ringo Light does not. Here is each row, side by side.

Airalo vs Ringo Light in one paragraph
For about two weeks or a month of unlimited data in Saudi Arabia, Ringo Light is cheaper than Airalo by a wide margin: $22.99 for 2 weeks against $54 for 15 days, and $50.99 for 30 days against $97. Ringo Light is also unlimited data at full speed, where Airalo gives 3 GB a day at full speed and then slows to 1 Mbps. Airalo wins everything else. It sells 3 days of unlimited at $12.50 and a week at $27, lengths Ringo Light does not sell. It sells buckets, 10 GB for 30 days at $25.50 and 20 GB at $42, and Ringo Light sells no buckets. It names its network, stc, the largest in the country, and it has an app that shows your balance. Pick Airalo for a short trip, a bucket or the named network. Pick Ringo Light for Umrah, Hajj, or any stay of two weeks or a month where you want unlimited and the lowest price.
Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 25 October 2026, in US dollars, from Airalo's own site and from the Ringo Light catalogue the checkout charges. For 3 days of unlimited, Airalo asks $12.50; Ringo Light sells no 3-day plan for Saudi Arabia. For a week, Airalo asks $27; Ringo Light sells no 7-day plan either, and its 2 weeks at $22.99 costs less than Airalo's week, with a second week of days left over. For about two weeks, Airalo asks $54 for 15 days and Ringo Light $22.99 for 2 weeks. For a month, Airalo asks $97 and Ringo Light $50.99.
For a fixed amount of data, Airalo is the only one of the two that sells it: 10 GB for 30 days at $25.50, 20 GB at $42, and buckets from $4.50 for 1 GB. Ringo Light sells no buckets. In the 10 GB chart Ringo Light's bar is its 2 weeks of unlimited at $22.99, which is cheaper than Airalo's 10 GB but lasts 2 weeks, not 30 days. If you want 10 GB spread over a month, or a few gigabytes for a few days, Airalo is the one to buy. We would rather you read that here than at checkout.
Airalo's 15-day plan is the cheapest rival for two weeks in the full comparison; Ringo Light's 2 weeks costs less than half of it. That gap, not the short plans, is why this page exists.
What unlimited means at each
Airalo's unlimited Saudi Arabia plan gives 3 GB a day at full speed, then slows to 1 Mbps for the rest of the day. That covers maps, messages, the Nusuk app and an hour or two of video; a long evening of streaming or a big photo backup from Makkah will hit it. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days, with no daily figure. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Networks and coverage in Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia has three networks: stc, the largest, Mobily and Zain. All three have 5G in Riyadh, Jeddah, Makkah, Madinah and Dammam, and all three cover Makkah, Madinah and the Haramain train between them well. stc reaches furthest along the desert highways and into small towns. Airalo names stc on its own page, which is a real point in its favour if you are driving to AlUla, the Edge of the World or the Asir villages, where signal thins out on every network. Ringo Light rides a local partner network and does not name it. For the cities and the holy sites, either works. The strain at the holy sites comes from crowds, not coverage: in Ramadan and on the Hajj days millions of phones share the same masts, whatever eSIM you carry.
Installation, app and support
Airalo needs its app: you buy, install and top up inside it, it shows how much of a bucket is left, and its support chat lives there too. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, and support is by email. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly, while you still have your home connection for the Nusuk verification codes, and switch it on for data when you land in Jeddah, Madinah or Riyadh.
What Ringo Light is, and what it is not
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Saudi Arabia it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $22.99 and 30 days at $50.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.
What it is not: it is data only, with no phone number, so calls go over apps that use data. It sells no buckets, no 3-day plan and no 7-day plan for Saudi Arabia. If you want 3 days, Airalo at $12.50 is the one to buy. If you want 10 GB over a month, Airalo at $25.50. If you want a named network, Airalo names stc. For two weeks or a month of unlimited, Ringo Light is the cheaper of the two.
