Holafly vs Saily in one paragraph
Holafly and Saily are not alternatives for the same trip in Qatar. Holafly sells unlimited days only, from 1 to 30, on Vodafone, with no stated daily cap and a QR code that needs no app. Saily sells buckets only, 10 GB for 30 days at $29.99 and 20 GB at $48.99, needs its app, and does not name its network. Because they share no product, we do not call one cheaper than the other. Pick Holafly if you want unlimited days and no daily cap. Pick Saily if you want a fixed amount of data. If the trip is two weeks or a month and you want unlimited, neither is the cheapest: Ringo Light sells 2 weeks at $18.99 and 30 days at $37.99, unlimited data at full speed.
Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 25 October 2026, in US dollars. Holafly sells 3 days of unlimited at $19.90, 7 days at $36.50, 15 days at $51.50 and 30 days at $111.90. Saily sells 10 GB for 30 days at $29.99 and 20 GB at $48.99, and no unlimited.
Ringo Light sells two trips for Qatar: 2 weeks at $18.99 and 30 days at $37.99. The 2 weeks costs $0.91 less than Holafly's 3 days at $19.90, $17.51 less than its 7 days at $36.50 and $32.51 less than its 15 days at $51.50. The 30 days costs $73.91 less than Holafly's $111.90. Against Saily's buckets, our 2 weeks costs $11.00 less than its 10 GB, and our 30 days costs $11.00 less than its 20 GB, though Saily's lasts a month in each case and ours is unlimited for its length. Ringo Light sells no 3-day or 7-day plan.
For a fixed amount of data, Saily is the only one of the three that sells it. Holafly sells no buckets and Ringo Light sells none either. Nomad and Ubigi sell 10 GB at $19 and Nomad 20 GB at $29, in the full comparison at /blog/best-esim-for-qatar. We would rather you read that here than at checkout.
What unlimited means at each
Holafly states no daily cap for your own phone and limits hotspot sharing to 1 GB a day. Saily sells no unlimited plan for Qatar. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Networks and coverage in Qatar
Qatar has two networks, Ooredoo and Vodafone Qatar. Both have 5G across Doha, Lusail and the main roads. In the dunes around Khor Al Adaid and on the empty roads of the north and west, signal gets weaker on both, so download offline maps before those drives. Holafly names Vodafone. Saily does not name its network for Qatar. Ringo Light rides a local partner network.
Calls in Qatar: what works on a data eSIM
Every plan here is data only, with no Qatari phone number, so your calls go through apps. Qatar limits internet voice calls to services its regulator allows, and travellers report that WhatsApp and FaceTime calls sometimes connect and sometimes do not. Messages, photos and voice notes go through. Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet are used every day for work calls in Qatar.
Installation, app and support
Saily needs its app: you buy, install and top up inside it. Holafly's app is optional; it also sends a QR code you scan in your phone's settings. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, and support is by email. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly and switch it on when you land.
The cheaper third option: Ringo Light
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Qatar it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $18.99 and 30 days at $37.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.
What it does not do: no buckets, no 3-day or 7-day plan, no phone number, data only. If you want a fixed 10 GB or 20 GB, Saily is the one of these three that sells it. If you want 3 days, Holafly at $19.90 costs $0.91 more than our 2 weeks, so the 2 weeks is the cheaper buy if the trip might run longer. For two weeks or a month of unlimited, Ringo Light is the cheapest of the three.
