Airalo vs Holafly in one paragraph
Airalo is cheaper than Holafly for Qatar at every length, by cents on the short plans and by $12.90 on the month. Holafly gives you the simpler product: unlimited days from 1 to 30 with no stated daily cap, installed from a QR code, on Vodafone. Airalo gives you more choice, a 1 GB stopover plan at $4.50 and buckets up to 20 GB as well as unlimited, but its unlimited slows to 1 Mbps after 3 GB a day, and you need its app. Both ride Vodafone Qatar. Pick Airalo if you want a bucket or the lower price of the two. Pick Holafly if you stream all evening and never want to think about a daily cap. If you want unlimited for anything from a few days to a month, neither is the cheapest: Ringo Light sells 2 weeks at $18.99 and 30 days at $37.99, unlimited data at full speed, and its 2 weeks costs less than either brand asks for 3 days.
Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 25 October 2026, in US dollars, from each brand's own site. For 3 days of unlimited, Airalo asks $19.50 and Holafly $19.90. For a week, $36 at Airalo and $36.50 at Holafly. For 15 days, $49 at Airalo and $51.50 at Holafly. For 30 days, $99 at Airalo and $111.90 at Holafly. Airalo wins every row of the two, by 40 or 50 cents on the short plans and by $12.90 on the month.
Ringo Light sells two trips for Qatar: 2 weeks at $18.99 and 30 days at $37.99. The 2 weeks costs less than Airalo's 3 days at $19.50 or Holafly's at $19.90, and well under half of their 15 days at $49 and $51.50. The 30 days costs $37.99 against $99 at Airalo and $111.90 at Holafly. Ringo Light sells no 3-day or 7-day plan, but for a week its 2 weeks at $18.99 is still the cheapest of the three, against $36 at Airalo and $36.50 at Holafly, with a week of days left over.
For a fixed amount of data, Airalo is the only one of the three that sells it: 1 GB for 3 days at $4.50, 10 GB for 30 days at $29, 20 GB at $45. Holafly sells no buckets. Ringo Light sells no buckets either. For a one or two day stopover in Doha, Airalo's $4.50 is far cheaper than anything Ringo Light sells. For 10 GB that must last a full month, Airalo at $29 is cheaper than our 30 days at $37.99, and we would rather you read that here than at checkout.
What unlimited means at each
Airalo's unlimited for Qatar, the Pearl Mobile plan, gives 3 GB a day at full speed, then slows to 1 Mbps. That is enough for maps, messages and an hour or two of video; a long evening of streaming in HD will hit it. Holafly states no daily cap for your own phone and limits hotspot sharing to 1 GB a day, so Holafly is the one to pick between the two if you share data to a laptop every day, but only up to that 1 GB. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Networks and coverage in Qatar
Qatar has two networks, Ooredoo and Vodafone Qatar. Both have 5G across Doha, Lusail and the main roads. Airalo and Holafly both name Vodafone on their Qatar pages, so on network the two are the same. Ringo Light rides a local partner network. For Doha, Hamad airport and the towns, any of the three works. In the dunes around Khor Al Adaid and on the empty roads of the north and west, signal gets weaker on every network, so download offline maps before those drives.
Installation, app and support
Airalo needs its app: you buy, install and top up inside it, and that is also where its support chat lives. Holafly's app is optional; it sends a QR code you scan in your phone's settings, and support is by chat on its site. Ringo Light needs no app either; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, and support is by email. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly and switch it on for data when you land at Hamad. The terminal has free Wi-Fi, so a connection of a few hours between flights needs nothing at all.
The cheaper third option: Ringo Light
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Qatar it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $18.99 and 30 days at $37.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.
What it does not do: no buckets, no 3-day or 7-day plan, no phone number, data only. Calls go over apps that use data, and Qatar limits which internet calling services work, so plan important calls on Zoom, Teams or Meet. If you step out of the airport for a day, Airalo's 1 GB at $4.50 is the better buy. If you want 10 GB that lasts a month, Airalo at $29 is cheaper than our 30 days. For unlimited at any length from a few days to a month, Ringo Light is the cheapest of the three.

How we compared, and our sources
Airalo, Holafly, Ringo Light
We priced Airalo, Holafly and Ringo Light for Qatar on 25 October 2026, all on the same day, in US dollars. Each rival's price comes from its own website where it showed dollars, otherwise from an esimdb.com listing, and every source and its date is listed below. Ringo Light's prices come from the catalogue our checkout charges.
We compare the trips people actually book: a week, two weeks and a month of unlimited data, and a 10 GB bucket. We read each brand's fair use and speed rules and quote them as the brands state them. We did not run speed tests, so this page makes no speed claims for any brand.
Ringo Light is our own product. We put it in the table on the same terms as everyone else, and where a rival is the better buy the page says so.
Left out: Saily, Nomad and Ubigi. They sell Qatar too and are priced on the same day in the full comparison at /blog/best-esim-for-qatar, where Nomad and Ubigi win the 10 GB bucket at $19. This page answers one question, Airalo or Holafly, so it keeps to those two and the cheaper third option. Left out: Maya Mobile. We could not read its own prices for this country on the day, so it stays out rather than being guessed.
