Holafly vs Saily in one paragraph
Saily is cheaper than Holafly for Egypt at both lengths they share, by $1.51 on 15 days ($48.99 against $50.50) and by $5.91 on 30 days ($89.99 against $95.90). Holafly gives you the simpler product: unlimited days with no stated daily cap, installed from a QR code with no app, on Orange. Saily gives you buckets as well, 10 GB at $33.99 and 20 GB at $42.99, but its unlimited slows to 1 Mbps after 3 GB a day, it names no network for Egypt, and you need its app. Holafly also sells 3 days at $19.90 and a week at $36.50; Saily sells neither. Pick Saily for the lower price or a bucket. Pick Holafly if you stream all evening, never want to think about a daily cap, or need 3 days or a week. If the trip is two weeks or a month and you want unlimited, neither is the cheapest: Ringo Light sells 2 weeks at $18.99 and 30 days at $40.99, unlimited data at full speed.
Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 25 October 2026, in US dollars, from each brand's own site. For 15 days of unlimited, Holafly asks $50.50 and Saily $48.99. For 30 days, $95.90 at Holafly and $89.99 at Saily. Saily wins both rows of the two. For 3 days and a week, Holafly asks $19.90 and $36.50, and Saily sells neither, so we call neither cheaper there.
For a fixed amount of data, Saily is the only one of the two that sells it: 10 GB for 30 days at $33.99 and 20 GB at $42.99, read on saily.com. Holafly sells no buckets.
Ringo Light sells two trips for Egypt: 2 weeks at $18.99 and 30 days at $40.99. The 2 weeks costs $31.51 less than Holafly's 15 days at $50.50 and $30.00 less than Saily's at $48.99. The 30 days costs $54.91 less than Holafly's $95.90 and $49.00 less than Saily's $89.99. Ringo Light sells no 3-day plan and no 7-day plan. For 3 days, Holafly is the only one of the three that sells one, at $19.90. For a week, Ringo Light's 2 weeks at $18.99 still costs less than Holafly's week at $36.50, with a week of days left over, but if you want a plan that is exactly 7 days, only Holafly sells one. Ringo Light sells no buckets either. If a bucket is all you need, Saily is the one of these to look at, and we would rather you read that here than at checkout.
What unlimited means at each
Saily's unlimited for Egypt gives 3 GB a day at full speed, then slows to 1 Mbps for the rest of the day. That is enough for maps, messages and an hour or two of video; a long evening of streaming in HD will hit it. Holafly states no daily cap for your own phone and limits hotspot sharing to 1 GB a day, so Holafly is the one to pick between the two if you stream a lot, and sharing to a laptop only works up to that 1 GB. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Networks and coverage in Egypt
Egypt has four networks: Vodafone, Orange, e& (once Etisalat) and WE. Vodafone and Orange carry most travel eSIMs. Holafly names Orange; Saily does not name its network for Egypt, and Ringo Light rides a local partner network. Coverage on all of them follows the Nile valley, Cairo, Alexandria and the Red Sea resorts, where nearly everyone lives. Out in the desert, on the road south to Abu Simbel or towards the Western Desert oases, signal thins out on every network. Download offline maps before those drives, whichever of the three you pick.
Installation, app and support
Saily needs its app: you buy, install and top up inside it. Holafly does not need one; it sends a QR code you scan in your phone's settings, and its app is optional. Ringo Light needs no app either; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, and support is by email. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly and switch it on for data when you land.
There is one more reason to use a travel eSIM in Egypt rather than a local SIM. Since 21 January 2026, a phone bought abroad that goes onto an Egyptian SIM owes customs fees, with a 90-day exemption for tourists from the day the phone is activated on the network, and a local SIM has to be bought in person with your passport. Holafly, Saily and Ringo Light all install before you fly, need no counter and no passport copy, and work from the moment you land.
The cheaper third option: Ringo Light
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Egypt it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $18.99 and 30 days at $40.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.
What it does not do: no buckets, no 3-day plan, no 7-day plan, no phone number, data only. Calls go over apps that use data. If you want 3 days or a week, Holafly is the only one of the three that sells it. If you want a bucket, Saily is the only one of the three that sells one. For two weeks or a month of unlimited, Ringo Light is the cheapest of the three by a wide margin.

Frequently asked questions
How we compared, and our sources
Holafly, Saily, Ringo Light
We priced Holafly, Saily and Ringo Light for Egypt on 25 October 2026, all on the same day, in US dollars. Each rival's price comes from its own website where it showed dollars, otherwise from an esimdb.com listing, and every source and its date is listed below. Ringo Light's prices come from the catalogue our checkout charges.
We compare the trips people actually book: a week, two weeks and a month of unlimited data, and a 10 GB bucket. We read each brand's fair use and speed rules and quote them as the brands state them. We did not run speed tests, so this page makes no speed claims for any brand.
Ringo Light is our own product. We put it in the table on the same terms as everyone else, and where a rival is the better buy the page says so.
Left out: Airalo, Nomad and Ubigi. They sell Egypt too and are priced on the same day in the full comparison at /blog/best-esim-for-egypt. This page answers one question, Holafly or Saily, so it keeps to those two and the cheaper third option. Left out: Maya Mobile. We could not read its own prices for this country on the day, so it stays out rather than being guessed. Left out: Holafly for 3 days and a week. Saily sells neither for Egypt, so there is no Saily figure to set against Holafly at those lengths and none is shown.
