Airalo vs Saily in one paragraph
Airalo and Saily are almost the same product at almost the same price for the UAE. Saily is a cent cheaper for 15 days, a month, 10 GB and 20 GB. Airalo is $1.49 cheaper for a week and is the only one of the two that sells 3 days, at $12.50. Both give 3 GB a day at full speed, then 1 Mbps, and both need their app. The one real difference is the network: Airalo names e&, the network most people still call Etisalat, and Saily does not name its network for the UAE. Pick Airalo for 3 days, a week, or to know the network before you buy. Pick Saily if you want the cent. For two weeks of unlimited, neither is the cheapest: Ringo Light sells 2 weeks at $39.99, unlimited data at full speed.
Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 25 October 2026, in US dollars. For 3 days of unlimited, Airalo asks $12.50 and Saily sells no 3-day plan. For a week, $27.50 at Airalo and $28.99 at Saily. For 15 days, $49 at Airalo and $48.99 at Saily. For 30 days, $72 at Airalo and $71.99 at Saily. A cent is not a reason to choose, and the week is the only row with a gap worth the name.
Ringo Light sells two trips for the UAE: 2 weeks at $39.99 and 30 days at $71.99. The 2 weeks is $9.00 under Saily's 15 days and $9.01 under Airalo's. The 30 days is level with Saily and one cent under Airalo. Ringo Light sells no 3-day and no 7-day plan; for a stopover or a week, Airalo at $12.50 and $27.50 is the cheapest of the three.
For a fixed amount of data both sell buckets: Saily 10 GB at $19.99 and 20 GB at $33.99, Airalo 10 GB at $20 and 20 GB at $34, again a cent apart. Ringo Light sells no buckets, and for a fixed amount of data both of these are much cheaper, about half the price for 10 GB. We would rather you read that here than at checkout.
What unlimited means at each
Both brands give 3 GB a day at full speed on their unlimited UAE plans, then slow to 1 Mbps. That is enough for maps, messages and an hour or two of video; a long evening of streaming in HD will hit it, and a laptop on the hotspot will hit it sooner. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Networks and coverage in the UAE
The UAE has two networks: e&, which most people still call Etisalat, and du. Both have 5G across Dubai and Abu Dhabi and cover the highways between the emirates well. Airalo names e&. Saily does not name its network for the UAE. Ringo Light rides a local partner network. For the cities, any of the three works. Out in the Liwa dunes and in the Hajar Mountain wadis, signal thins out on both networks, so download offline maps before those drives.
Installation, app and support
Both Airalo and Saily need their apps: you buy and install inside them, and support lives there. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, and support is by email. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly and switch it on for data when you land at Dubai or Abu Dhabi.
One thing to know about calls. Every plan on this page is data only, with no UAE phone number, so your calls go through apps. The UAE restricts internet voice and video calls to apps its telecoms regulator allows. WhatsApp messages, photos and voice notes go through, but WhatsApp voice and video calls are restricted, and other calling apps can be too. Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet and Botim place calls normally. Some travel eSIMs route your data through another country, and travellers report that WhatsApp calls then work. No brand in the full comparison promises that, and neither do we.
The cheaper third option: Ringo Light
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For the UAE it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $39.99 and 30 days at $71.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.
What it does not do: no buckets, no 3-day plan, no 7-day plan, no phone number, data only. Calls go over apps that use data, and in the UAE that means an app the regulator allows. If you want a stopover or a week, Airalo is the better buy. For two weeks of unlimited, Ringo Light is the cheapest of the three by $9.00 or more. For a month it is level with Saily and one cent under Airalo.
