Holafly vs Saily in one paragraph
The two split the price list. Holafly is cheaper for a week, by $1.09, and is the only one of the two with a 3-day plan, at $13.50. Saily is cheaper for 15 days, by $1.51, and is the only one that sells a month, at $71.99, and buckets, 10 GB at $19.99 and 20 GB at $33.99. Holafly gives the simpler product: unlimited days with no stated daily cap, installed from a QR code, no app required. Saily slows to 1 Mbps after 3 GB a day and needs its app. Pick Holafly for 3 days or a week, or if you stream all evening. Pick Saily for a month or a bucket. For two weeks of unlimited, neither is the cheapest: Ringo Light sells 2 weeks at $39.99, unlimited data at full speed.
Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 25 October 2026, in US dollars. For 3 days of unlimited, Holafly asks $13.50 and Saily sells no 3-day plan. For a week, $27.90 at Holafly and $28.99 at Saily. For 15 days, $50.50 at Holafly and $48.99 at Saily. For 30 days, Saily asks $71.99; Holafly's dollar table for the UAE stops at 15 days, so for a month it is not in the race.
Ringo Light sells two trips for the UAE: 2 weeks at $39.99 and 30 days at $71.99. The 2 weeks is $9.00 under Saily's 15 days and $10.51 under Holafly's. The 30 days is level with Saily, which is a tie, not a win. Ringo Light sells no 3-day and no 7-day plan; for a week, Holafly at $27.90 is the cheapest of the three.
For a fixed amount of data, only Saily has a bar: 10 GB at $19.99 and 20 GB at $33.99. Holafly sells no buckets, and Ringo Light sells none either; its 2 weeks of unlimited at $39.99 costs about twice Saily's 10 GB and lasts 2 weeks, not 30 days. If a bucket is what you want, Saily is the one of the three that sells one, and we would rather you read that here than at checkout.
What unlimited means at each
Holafly states no daily cap for your own phone in the UAE and limits hotspot sharing to 1 GB a day, so it is the one to pick of the two if you stream a lot, but only up to that 1 GB if you share to a laptop. Saily gives 3 GB a day at full speed, then slows to 1 Mbps. That is enough for maps, messages and an hour or two of video; a long evening of streaming in HD will hit it. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Networks and coverage in the UAE
The UAE has two networks: e&, which most people still call Etisalat, and du. Both have 5G across Dubai and Abu Dhabi and cover the highways between the emirates well. Neither Holafly nor Saily names its network for the UAE, so you cannot choose between e& and du with either. Ringo Light rides a local partner network. For the cities, any of the three works. Out in the Liwa dunes and in the Hajar Mountain wadis, signal thins out on both networks, so download offline maps before those drives.
Installation, app and support
Holafly's app is optional; it sends a QR code you scan in your phone's settings, and support is by chat on its site. Saily needs its app: you buy and install inside it, and support lives there. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, and support is by email. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly and switch it on for data when you land at Dubai or Abu Dhabi.
One thing to know about calls. Every plan on this page is data only, with no UAE phone number, so your calls go through apps. The UAE restricts internet voice and video calls to apps its telecoms regulator allows. WhatsApp messages, photos and voice notes go through, but WhatsApp voice and video calls are restricted, and other calling apps can be too. Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet and Botim place calls normally. Some travel eSIMs route your data through another country, and travellers report that WhatsApp calls then work. No brand in the full comparison promises that, and neither do we.
The cheaper third option: Ringo Light
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For the UAE it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $39.99 and 30 days at $71.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.
What it does not do: no buckets, no 3-day plan, no 7-day plan, no phone number, data only. Calls go over apps that use data, and in the UAE that means an app the regulator allows. If you want 3 days or a week, Holafly is the better buy. For two weeks of unlimited, Ringo Light is the cheapest of the three by $9.00 or more. For a month it ties Saily, and Holafly sells no month.
