The short answer
Airalo is the travel eSIM most people already know for Spain. Ringo Light is cheaper for unlimited at every length it sells: $8.99 against $11 for 3 days, $16.99 for 2 weeks against $23.50 for one week at Airalo, $26.99 against $63 for a month. Airalo wins where Ringo Light sells nothing: data buckets, 10 GB at $14 and 20 GB at $20, a 7-day plan, and named networks, Yoigo, Vodafone and Orange.
Unlimited data at full speed for 3 days at $8.99, 2 weeks at $16.99 or 30 days at $26.99, nothing renews, no app. Airalo asks $11 for 3 days, $23.50 for one week, $43 for 15 days and $63 for the month.
10 GB for 30 days at $14, 20 GB at $20. Unlimited for 7 days at $23.50, on Yoigo, Vodafone and Orange. Buy on the web or in its app. Ringo Light sells none of that.

The bucket most people buy for a two-week holiday. Ringo Light sells no bucket: its 2 weeks is unlimited and lasts 2 weeks, not 30 days. If the 10 GB must last a whole month, Airalo is the one of the two that sells it.

Airalo vs Ringo Light in one paragraph
For unlimited data in Spain, Ringo Light is cheaper than Airalo at every length it sells, and not by a little. Three days is $8.99 against $11. Two weeks is $16.99, less than Airalo asks for one week at $23.50, and far less than its 15 days at $43. A month is $26.99 against $63. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed; Airalo gives 5 GB a day at full speed, then 1 Mbps. Airalo wins everything Ringo Light does not sell: a 7-day plan, data buckets, 10 GB at $14 and 20 GB at $20, and named networks, Yoigo, Vodafone and Orange. Pick Ringo Light if you want unlimited for 3 days, two weeks or a month. Pick Airalo if you want a bucket that lasts 30 days, exactly 7 days, or a named network.
Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 22 October 2026, in US dollars. Airalo's unlimited was read on its own site and its buckets from the esimdb listing dated 4 October. For 3 days of unlimited, Airalo asks $11 and Ringo Light $8.99, a difference of $2.01. For a week, Airalo asks $23.50; Ringo Light sells no 7-day plan, and its 2 weeks at $16.99 costs $6.51 less than Airalo's week, with a week of days left over. For 15 days, Airalo asks $43, which is $26.01 more than Ringo Light's 2 weeks. For a month, Airalo asks $63 and Ringo Light $26.99, $36.01 less. That is the whole unlimited story: Ringo Light is cheaper at every length, including the one it does not sell.
For a fixed amount of data, Airalo is the only one of the two that sells it: 10 GB for 30 days at $14, 20 GB for 30 days at $20. Ringo Light sells no buckets. Its 2 weeks of unlimited at $16.99 costs $2.99 more than Airalo's 10 GB, and it lasts 2 weeks, not 30 days. Airalo's 20 GB at $20 is $6.99 under our 30 days at $26.99. If you need a little data to last a whole month, Airalo is the better buy, and we would rather you read that here than at checkout. The 10 GB chart above shows the two side by side for that reason.
The two-week chart carries Ringo Light's 2 weeks against Airalo's 15 days, as the full comparison does, because the two brands sell slightly different lengths. The month chart is like for like, 30 days at each.
What unlimited means at each
Airalo's unlimited for Spain gives 5 GB a day at full speed, then slows to 1 Mbps until the next day. That is enough for maps, messages, music and a couple of hours of video; a long evening of HD streaming or a big photo backup will hit it, and a laptop on the hotspot will hit it sooner. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 3 days, 2 weeks or 30 days, with no daily figure. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Networks and coverage in Spain
Spain has four networks: Movistar, Orange, Vodafone and Yoigo. All four cover the cities, the coast and the high-speed rail lines well. Airalo rides Yoigo, Vodafone and Orange, and that is a point for Airalo: you know which networks you will be on before you buy. Ringo Light rides a local partner network, as the full comparison says. For Barcelona, Madrid, Seville, Valencia and the islands, both work. If you must have Movistar by name, neither is the brand; Holafly, Saily and Nomad list it in the full comparison.
Installation, app and support
Airalo for Spain can be bought on the web or in its app; its support chat lives in the app and on its site. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan from the QR code, and support is by email. There is no balance to watch because there is no bucket. Whichever you pick, install it at home on Wi-Fi before you fly and switch it on for data when you land at Barajas, El Prat or Palma.
What Ringo Light is, and what it is not
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Spain it sells three trips, all unlimited data at full speed: 3 days at $8.99, 2 weeks at $16.99 and 30 days at $26.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.
What it is not: it is data only, with no phone number, so calls go over apps that use data. It sells no buckets and no 7-day plan. It names no network. If you want 10 GB to last a month, or exactly a week, or Yoigo, Vodafone and Orange by name, Airalo is the better buy. For unlimited at 3 days, two weeks or a month, Ringo Light is the cheaper of the two by a wide margin.
