Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 22 October 2026, in US dollars. Holafly is from its own site; Nomad is from the esimdb listing dated 4 October, because nomadesim.com served euro prices. For 3 days of unlimited, Holafly asks $11.90 and Nomad $11. For a week, $24.50 at Holafly and $25 at Nomad. Nomad sells no 15-day or 30-day unlimited; Holafly asks $45.90 and $66.50.
Ringo Light sells three trips for Spain: 3 days at $8.99, 2 weeks at $16.99 and 30 days at $26.99. For 3 days it is $2.91 under Holafly's $11.90 and $2.01 under Nomad's $11. The 2 weeks costs $7.51 less than Holafly's week and $8.01 less than Nomad's, with a week of days left over, and $28.91 less than Holafly's 15 days at $45.90. The 30 days costs $39.51 less than Holafly's $66.50; Nomad has no month to compare. Ringo Light sells no 7-day plan, so for exactly a week you buy its 2 weeks at $16.99.
For a fixed amount of data, Nomad is the only one of the three that sells it: 10 GB for 30 days at $14, 20 GB at $21. Holafly sells no buckets. Ringo Light sells no buckets either. If 10 GB spread over a month is all you need, Nomad at $14 is $2.99 cheaper than Ringo Light's $16.99, and its 20 GB at $21 is $5.99 under our 30 days at $26.99. We would rather you read that here than at checkout.
What unlimited means at each
Holafly states no daily cap for your own phone in Spain and limits hotspot sharing to 1 GB a day. That makes it the one to pick if you stream all evening, but not if you tether a laptop all day, since the 1 GB of sharing runs out fast. Nomad's unlimited gives 2 GB a day at full speed, then slower. That is enough for maps and messages, but a few videos and a photo backup can use it up before dinner. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 3 days, 2 weeks or 30 days, with no daily figure. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Networks and coverage in Spain
Spain has four networks: Movistar, Orange, Vodafone and Yoigo. All four cover the cities, the coast and the high-speed rail lines well. Holafly lists all four, the widest spread. Nomad rides Movistar and Orange. Ringo Light rides a local partner network. For Barcelona, Madrid, Seville, Valencia and the islands, any of the three works. Holafly is the one of the two to pick if you want Vodafone or Yoigo in the mix.
Installation, app and support
Nomad is managed in the Nomad app, which is where you install, check and top up. Holafly's app is optional; it sends a QR code you scan in your phone's settings, and support is by chat on its site. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, and support is by email. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly and switch it on for data when you land at Barajas, El Prat or Palma.
The cheaper third option: Ringo Light
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Spain it sells three trips, all unlimited data at full speed: 3 days at $8.99, 2 weeks at $16.99 and 30 days at $26.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.
What it does not do: no buckets, no 7-day plan, no phone number, data only. Calls go over apps that use data. If you want 10 GB to last a whole month, Nomad at $14 is $2.99 cheaper than our 2 weeks, and its 20 GB at $21 costs less than our 30 days at $26.99. For 3 days, two weeks or a month of unlimited, Ringo Light is the cheapest of the three.

How we compared, and our sources
Holafly, Nomad, Ringo Light
We priced Holafly, Nomad and Ringo Light for Spain on 22 October 2026, all on the same day, in US dollars. Ringo Light's prices come from the catalogue our checkout charges.
We compare the trips people actually book: a week, two weeks and a month of unlimited data, and a 10 GB bucket. We read each brand's fair use and speed rules and quote them as the brands state them. We did not run speed tests, so this page makes no speed claims for any brand.
Ringo Light is our own product. We put it in the table on the same terms as everyone else, and where a rival is the better buy the page says so.
Left out: Airalo, Saily and Ubigi. They sell Spain too and are priced on the same day in the full comparison at /blog/best-esim-for-spain. This page answers one question, Holafly or Nomad, so it keeps to those two and the cheaper third option. Left out: Maya Mobile. It lists only a Global plan for Spain and its own site refused the fetch on the day, so it stays out rather than being guessed.
- Holafly: esim.holafly.com/esim-spain/, dollar prices on its own site, 22 October 2026
- Nomad: esimdb.com/spain/nomad, listing dated 4 October 2026; nomadesim.com served euro prices
