1 · The short answer
London Design Festival lists its 25th anniversary edition for 18 to 26 September 2027. It is not one venue but a citywide programme: installations in public spaces, exhibitions, talks, studio openings and trade fairs, grouped into design districts from Shoreditch to South Kensington. Many events are free and open to anyone.
Ringo Light's United Kingdom plan covers London and the rest of the UK: unlimited data at full speed, delivered by email and installed with one scan. A festival spread over dozens of addresses runs on your map and the festival programme, so live data across the whole city is what makes the week work.

2 · How the festival is organised
The festival programme is built from districts, each a neighbourhood with its own cluster of showrooms, studios and shops taking part, and from landmark projects, large installations commissioned for public sites around the city. Major institutions such as the V&A have long hosted festival installations and events, and the week brings trade fairs for furniture, lighting and materials to venues in east and west London.
Use the festival's online programme to save the events you want, and note which ones need booking: talks and workshops often do, while installations and showroom events usually do not. Save addresses offline in your map app, since some studios are in yards and arches that are hard to find.
3 · Signal on a day of venue hopping
London's mobile coverage is dense, and most festival venues are ordinary shops, studios and galleries rather than crowded halls, so your phone will mostly behave. The exceptions are trade fair halls on opening day and basement or railway arch venues, where signal can drop to nothing.
Download the festival programme and your bookings before you go underground, send photos from the street, and keep a battery pack: a day of maps, cameras and contactless payments across several districts drains a phone faster than a normal city day.
4 · Where to go during the festival
- ✓South Kensington. The V&A, the Design Museum on Kensington High Street, and the showrooms of the Brompton area.
- ✓Shoreditch and Clerkenwell. Studios, furniture showrooms and design shops in east and central London, with trade fairs nearby.
- ✓King's Cross. Coal Drops Yard and the streets around Granary Square host installations and brand events.
- ✓Mayfair and the West End. Galleries and design dealers, plus landmark projects in squares and streets.
5 · Getting there and getting around
From Heathrow, the Elizabeth line runs through central London to the east, which links the West End and Shoreditch's neighbours in one ride. Eurostar arrives at St Pancras, next to King's Cross.
Contactless bank cards and phone wallets pay for the Tube, buses and Overground with daily caps. Many districts are close enough to walk between, and the city's hire bikes are an option on dry days. Citymapper or TfL Go cover routes and live departures.
