1 · The short answer

The Bahrain Grand Prix opens the 2027 season on 12 to 14 March at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir, in the desert south of Manama. It is a night race under floodlights, and pre-season testing runs at the same circuit two weeks earlier.

2 · Getting to Sakhir

Bahrain International Airport is on Muharraq, north of Manama, and the circuit is about half an hour's drive south of the capital. There is no rail line, so fans arrive by taxi, ride-hailing, rental car or the shuttle buses the organisers run from points in Manama on race weekend.

Book the shuttle or a ride home before the podium, because the roads out of Sakhir are busy after the race.

3 · Signal at a night race

Bahrain's networks are modern and cover the circuit, the grandstands and the fan zone. As everywhere, the start and the finish are when the whole crowd films and posts at once, and uploads slow.

Save your e-ticket and the circuit map offline, and agree a meeting point with your group for the trip back.

4 · Apps, tickets and paying

5 · What to do around the race

The race runs in the evening, so the days are free. Bahrain Fort, the Bab Al Bahrain gate and the souq behind it, the Al Fateh Grand Mosque and the old streets of Muharraq are all within half an hour of Manama.
