1 · The short answer

Glastonbury 2027 runs from Wednesday 23 June to Sunday 27 June at Worthy Farm in Somerset, after the fallow year in 2026. The UK networks bring in extra capacity for the festival, but with a crowd the size of a small city in the fields, data gets slow at peak times, especially near the big stages in the evening. Plan on messages and maps working, and on sending videos when the crowd thins.

Visitors from abroad can avoid roaming charges with a UK data eSIM installed before travelling. Ringo Light covers the United Kingdom with unlimited data at full speed; it arrives by email, installs in one scan and needs no app, and your own SIM stays on for calls and codes.

2 · The crowd and the signal on the farm

The site spreads across several valleys, from the Pyramid Stage field to the late night areas in the south east corner, and coverage is not even. Open fields near temporary masts are usually fine. The front of a headline set, with tens of thousands of people filming the same song, is where uploads stall and calls fail.

Two habits help. Save everything you need offline: your ticket details, the site map, the line up and your friends' tent location. And let the phone do its heavy lifting at quiet hours: early morning in the campsite, data is often quick again.

3 · Tickets, the official app and paying

  • ✓Tickets carry a photo. Glastonbury tickets are registered to a person with a photo, sold only through the authorised seller. Keep the booking email saved offline in case you are asked for details.
  • ✓The official app and site. The festival publishes its line up, stage times and site map online and in its official app. Download the map and build your clash list on Wi-Fi before you leave home.
  • ✓Paying on site. Most traders take cards and phone payments, and there are cash machines on site, though queues can be long. A card plus a little cash covers you either way.
  • ✓Save the important numbers. Write your tent field and the nearest flag or landmark into a note, because the farm looks very different at two in the morning.

4 · Getting there

Most people arrive by coach or by train. Castle Cary is the nearest station, with festival shuttle buses to the site; the organiser runs coach packages from cities across the UK, sold alongside the tickets. Bristol Airport is the closest for flights, with London airports a longer coach or train ride away.

Expect long walks from the drop off points and campsites to the stages. National Rail and coach apps work fine on the way in; the hard part is the last mile, so screenshot your coach return booking before you arrive.

5 · Camping, charging and meeting points

  • ✓Charging is the real limit. There are charging points on site, but queues build in the afternoon. Bring a large power bank or two, keep the phone on low power mode and turn the screen brightness down.
  • ✓Agree on a meeting place. Pick a fixed landmark away from stage fronts: a named flag, a bar or a sign you can all find. Agree a time, so nobody needs a call to work.
  • ✓Share location early. Turn on live location with your group on day one while data is easy, and switch it off later to save battery if needed.
  • ✓Help points. Welfare, information and medical points are marked on the site map; the emergency number in the UK is 999 or 112.

6 · Which plan covers Glastonbury

Ringo Light's United Kingdom plan covers the whole country, so the days in London or Bristol before and after the festival are covered as well. Install it at home, switch data to it when you land and leave your own line on for calls and bank codes.
