The 2026 Formula 1 season has 23 Grands Prix. After Singapore, the last six are Austin on 23 to 25 October, Mexico City on 30 October to 1 November, São Paulo on 6 to 8 November, Las Vegas on 19 to 21 November, Qatar on 27 to 29 November and the Abu Dhabi finale on 4 to 6 December. The 2027 calendar is already published, with 24 races from Bahrain on 12 to 14 March to Abu Dhabi on 10 to 12 December.

5 · What changed on the 2026 calendar

  • ✓Saudi Arabia called off. Formula 1 announced in March 2026 that the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix would not take place in April. The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix was not replaced and returns on 19 to 21 March 2027.
  • ✓Bahrain moved to Malaysia. The Bahrain Grand Prix was run at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia on 2 to 4 October 2026. It opens the 2027 season in Bahrain itself.
  • ✓Madrid joined. The Spanish Grand Prix moved to Madring in Madrid in September, while Barcelona kept its own June race as the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix.
  • ✓23 races, not 24. With Saudi Arabia off, 2026 runs 23 rounds.

6 · What is new for 2027

  • ✓Portugal and Türkiye return. Portimão hosts round 9 on 18 to 20 June and Istanbul Park round 17 on 1 to 3 October.
  • ✓Off the calendar. The Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort and the Barcelona-Catalunya race are not on the 2027 calendar.
  • ✓Bahrain opens the season. Round 1 is in Sakhir on 12 to 14 March, after pre-season testing there on 24 to 27 February.

7 · Booking a race trip

Grandstand tickets for the autumn races sell out first, and hotels near Austin, Las Vegas and Yas Island fill months ahead. Book the ticket, then the room, then the flight, and only then the extras.

Your phone does more at a race than at home: the e-ticket, the circuit map, the shuttle or train times, ride-hailing for the trip back and messages to your group when you get split up. Install the eSIM before you fly and switch it on when you land, so all of that works from the airport onwards.

8 · Going to several races

Back to back weekends cross borders fast: Mexico City and São Paulo are a week apart, Las Vegas, Qatar and Abu Dhabi close the season inside three weeks, and in 2027 Australia, Japan and China run on consecutive weekends in April.
