1 · The short answer

Every travel eSIM sells Prague as part of a Czech plan or a Europe plan. We priced the six that get most of the traffic on the same day, for a long weekend, a week and two weeks with side trips, and looked at what your phone has to do between the airport, the metro and the old town.

4 · What to do in Prague, and what your phone does for you there

Seven places for a first visit, from the castle on the hill to the old town square. All are on foot or a short tram ride apart.

5 · Getting online at Vaclav Havel Airport

Prague Airport has 4G and 5G at every gate. Switch your eSIM on when you land. Bus 119 runs to Nadrazi Veleslavin on metro line A, and the Airport Express bus to the main station. Ride apps also pick up at the terminals.

Public transport tickets are sold in the PID Litacka app; buy one before you board and it is valid on buses, metro and trams.

6 · Metro, trams and the old town

Prague's metro has mobile coverage in its stations and tunnels, so your phone works underground. Trams cover the centre well, and tram 22 climbs to Prague Castle. The old town itself is best walked, with a maps app for the lanes that all look alike.

Prices in the old town vary a great deal. A maps app with reviews helps you find a pub a street away from the square at half the price.

7 · Day trips and the next country

Kutna Hora is an hour by train and Cesky Krumlov about three hours by bus; the Czech plan covers both. Vienna, Berlin and Budapest are each a few hours away. A Czech plan stops at the border; Ringo Light's Europe trip, 2 weeks at $22.99, covers the Czech Republic and its neighbours on one eSIM.

8 · Which plan fits a Prague trip

A long weekend: Nomad sells 3 days of unlimited at $11 and Airalo at $11.50. Ringo Light sells no 3-day plan, so for two or three nights one of those is the better buy.

A week: A week of unlimited costs $24 at Ubigi (20 GB, then 2 Mbps), $25 at Nomad, $26.50 at Airalo and $27.50 at Holafly. Ringo Light sells no 7-day plan, but its 2 weeks of unlimited data costs $13.99, less than any of those weeks. You simply have days left over.

Two weeks or a month: Ringo Light 2 weeks at $13.99 or 30 days at $26.99. Both cover all of the Czech Republic, Prague included, with nothing to change when you leave the city.

9 · What Ringo Light is

Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For the Czech Republic, Prague included, it sells two trips, both unlimited data: 2 weeks at $13.99 and 30 days at $26.99. Nothing renews. Fair use policy, see Terms. The eSIM arrives by email and installs in one scan, no app.

Even against buckets, our 2 weeks at $13.99 costs less than 10 GB for 30 days at Ubigi ($14), Saily ($14.99), Airalo ($15) or Nomad ($16). The buckets last longer, 30 days against our 2 weeks. Ringo Light sells no buckets. The card to buy it is further up this page, just after the side-by-side table.

10 · Pick by trip

A long weekend in Prague

Prague, then Vienna or Budapest

Ringo Light's Europe trip, 2 weeks at $22.99, on one eSIM.

A month in Prague

Ringo Light unlimited, 30 days, $26.99.

12 · How we compared, and our sources

We priced Airalo, Holafly, Saily, Nomad, Ubigi and Ringo Light for Prague on 12 October 2026, all on the same day, in US dollars. Each rival's price comes from its own website where it showed dollars, otherwise from an esimdb.com listing, and every source and its date is listed below. Ringo Light's prices come from the catalogue our checkout charges.

We compare the trips people actually book: a week, two weeks and a month of unlimited data, and a 10 GB bucket. We read each brand's fair use and speed rules and quote them as the brands state them. We did not run speed tests, so this page makes no speed claims for any brand.

Ringo Light is our own product. We put it in the table on the same terms as everyone else, and where a rival is the better buy the page says so.

Left out: Maya Mobile. We could not read its own prices for this country on the day, so it stays out rather than being guessed.

Written and priced by the Ringo team. Prices change often; if you spot one that has moved, tell us through the contact page and we will update the table.
