Holafly vs Nomad in one paragraph
Holafly and Nomad are not selling the same thing for Europe, so the answer depends on what you want. Holafly sells unlimited days only, with no stated daily cap for your own phone, installed from a QR code: $11.90 for 3 days, $27.50 for a week, $51.50 for 15 days, $76.50 for 30 days. Nomad sells buckets, 10 GB for 30 days at $23 and 20 GB at $27, and unlimited only for 5 days at $19 or 10 days at $34, slowed to 1 Mbps after 2 GB a day. Pick Nomad if a fixed 10 GB or 20 GB over a month is enough, or for a short trip of 5 days. Pick Holafly if you want unlimited with no daily cap, or any unlimited plan longer than 10 days, because Nomad sells none. If the trip is two weeks or a month and you want unlimited, neither is the cheapest: Ringo Light sells 2 weeks at $22.99 and 30 days at $35.99, unlimited data at full speed in 33 countries.
Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 25 October 2026, in US dollars: Holafly from its own Europe page, Nomad from a listing updated 6 October. For 3 days of unlimited, Holafly asks $11.90; Nomad sells no 3-day plan and its shortest unlimited is 5 days at $19. For a week, Holafly asks $27.50; Nomad sells no 7-day plan, so you choose between 5 days at $19 and 10 days at $34. For 15 days, Holafly asks $51.50; Nomad sells no unlimited past 10 days. For 30 days, Holafly asks $76.50 and Nomad has no plan at all. So on unlimited, Holafly is cheaper for 3 days and a week, and the only one of the two for anything longer than 10 days.
Ringo Light sells two trips for Europe: 2 weeks at $22.99 and 30 days at $35.99. The 2 weeks costs less than half of Holafly's 15 days at $51.50, and less than Nomad's 10 days at $34. The 30 days costs less than half of Holafly's $76.50. Ringo Light sells no 3-day or 7-day plan; for 3 days, Holafly at $11.90 is the cheapest of the three, and for 5 days, Nomad at $19. For a week, Holafly asks $27.50 and our 2 weeks at $22.99 costs less, with a week of days left over.
For a fixed amount of data, Nomad is the only one of the three that sells it: 10 GB for 30 days at $23, 20 GB at $27. Holafly sells no buckets. Ringo Light sells no buckets either. Our 2 weeks at $22.99 is a cent under Nomad's 10 GB, but it lasts 2 weeks, not 30 days. If 10 GB or 20 GB spread over a month is what you need, Nomad is the better buy, and we would rather you read that here than at checkout.
What unlimited means at each
Holafly states no daily cap for data on your own phone in Europe, and limits hotspot sharing to 1 GB a day. It sells days, not gigabytes, and no buckets. Nomad's unlimited for Europe gives 2 GB a day at full speed, then slows to 1 Mbps for the rest of the day. That is enough for maps, messages and some video; an evening of streaming will hit it. Nomad's unlimited also stops at 10 days. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Which countries each plan covers
A Europe plan is only as good as its country list, and the lists differ. Holafly lists 33 countries including the UK and Ireland. Nomad covers 35 on its unlimited plans. Ringo Light covers 33: the EU countries plus the UK, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Gibraltar. On the road, each eSIM joins a local network in whichever country you are in; none of the three names one operator for the whole of Europe.
Check the list for every country on your route before you buy, whichever brand you pick. The UK and Switzerland are the two that catch people out: neither is in the EU, and a plan sold as EU only can skip them. Ringo Light and Nomad include both; Holafly includes the UK, and for Switzerland read its country list at checkout. None of the three is the one to buy for Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia or Ukraine; Airalo Eurolink covers those in the full comparison.
Installation, app and support
Holafly needs no app; it sends a QR code you scan in your phone's settings, and support is by chat on its site. Nomad's app is optional: you can buy on its site and install from a QR code, or do it all in the app. Ringo Light needs no app either; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, and support is by email. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly and switch it on for data when you land. When you cross a border, each of the three moves to a local network in the next country on its own.
The cheaper third option: Ringo Light
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Europe it sells two trips across 33 countries, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $22.99 and 30 days at $35.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.
What it does not do: no buckets, no 3-day or 7-day plan, no phone number, data only. Calls go over apps that use data. If you want 10 GB or 20 GB over a month, Nomad at $23 or $27 is the better buy. If you want 3 days, Holafly at $11.90 is cheaper than anything we sell, and for 5 days, Nomad at $19. For a week, two weeks or a month of unlimited, Ringo Light is the cheapest of the three.

How we compared, and our sources
Holafly, Nomad, Ringo Light
We priced Holafly, Nomad and Ringo Light for Europe on 25 October 2026, all on the same day, in US dollars. Each rival's price comes from its own website where it showed dollars, otherwise from an esimdb.com listing, and every source and its date is listed below. Ringo Light's prices come from the catalogue our checkout charges.
We compare the trips people actually book: a week, two weeks and a month of unlimited data, and a 10 GB bucket. We read each brand's fair use and speed rules and quote them as the brands state them. We did not run speed tests, so this page makes no speed claims for any brand.
Ringo Light is our own product. We put it in the table on the same terms as everyone else, and where a rival is the better buy the page says so.
Left out: Airalo, Saily and Ubigi. They sell Europe too and are priced on the same day in the full comparison at /blog/best-esim-for-europe. This page answers one question, Holafly or Nomad, so it keeps to those two and the cheaper third option. Left out: Maya Mobile. We could not read its own prices for Europe on the day, so it stays out rather than being guessed.
