The prices, charted
US dollars, 25 October 2026. Airalo sells 15 days, Ringo Light 2 weeks. Airalo is 3 GB a day at full speed, then 1 Mbps; Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed.
The 30-day plan at each brand. Airalo slows to 1 Mbps after 3 GB a day. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed.
Ringo Light sells no bucket: its 2 weeks is unlimited, so it lasts 2 weeks, not 30 days. For a fixed 10 GB that must last a month, Airalo is the cheaper of the two.

Airalo vs Ringo Light in one paragraph
For two weeks or a month of unlimited data in Bali, Ringo Light costs less than half of Airalo: $22.99 against $48 for two weeks, $35.99 against $69 for 30 days, and ours is unlimited data at full speed where Airalo slows to 1 Mbps after 3 GB a day. That is the row most people land on, because Bali is a two-week or a one-month trip. Airalo wins everything shorter and everything measured in gigabytes: 3 days of unlimited at $11, a week at $27, 10 GB for 30 days at $21, 20 GB at $35. It names Indosat Ooredoo on its own page, and its app shows you what is left. Ringo Light sells no 3-day plan, no 7-day plan and no bucket. Pick Airalo for a stopover, a single week or a small fixed amount of data. Pick Ringo Light for two weeks or a month of unlimited.
Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 25 October 2026, in US dollars, from Airalo's own site and from the Ringo Light catalogue. For two weeks of unlimited, Airalo asks $48 for 15 days and Ringo Light $22.99 for 2 weeks. For a month, Airalo asks $69 and Ringo Light $35.99. Those are the two charts above, and Ringo Light wins both by more than $25.
Airalo wins the rest. For 3 days of unlimited it asks $11; Ringo Light sells no 3-day plan for Indonesia. For a week, $27; Ringo Light sells no 7-day plan, and its 2 weeks at $22.99 is the nearest thing, cheaper than Airalo's week with a week of days left over. For a fixed amount of data, Airalo is the only one of the two that sells it: 10 GB for 30 days at $21, 20 GB at $35. If 10 GB is all you need and it has to last a month, Airalo at $21 beats our 2 weeks at $22.99, and we would rather you read that here than at checkout.
The 10 GB chart carries both brands because Airalo has a bar in it. There is no 3-day or 7-day chart here because Ringo Light has no plan at those lengths, and a chart with one bar is not a comparison.
What unlimited means at each
Airalo's unlimited for Indonesia gives 3 GB a day at full speed, then slows to 1 Mbps for the rest of the day. That is enough for maps, messages, calls over WhatsApp and some video; an evening of HD streaming or a laptop on the hotspot will reach it. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms. Nothing renews on either: Airalo's plan ends when its days run out, and so does Ringo Light's trip.
Networks and coverage in Bali
Indonesia has four big networks: Telkomsel, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, XL and 3. Telkomsel reaches furthest, including the Gilis, Nusa Penida and the north of Bali. Indosat, XL and 3 are fast in Canggu, Seminyak, Ubud and the south, and thinner outside the towns. Airalo's own page names Indosat Ooredoo, with one other network. Ringo Light rides a local partner network. For the south of Bali and Ubud, either works. If you will spend days on the smaller islands, neither of these two is the Telkomsel buy; Nomad rides Telkomsel, and it is priced in the full comparison at /blog/best-esim-for-bali.
Installation, app and support
Airalo's app is optional for Indonesia: you can buy on its site and install from the details it sends, or do it all in the app, which is also where you see your balance, top up and reach its support chat. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds, installs in one scan, and support is by email. Whichever you pick, install it at home on Wi-Fi before you fly and switch it on for data when you land at Ngurah Rai.
What Ringo Light is, and what it is not
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Indonesia it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $22.99 and 30 days at $35.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.
What it is not: it is data only, with no Indonesian number and no calls over the network; calls go over apps that use data. It sells no buckets, so there is no 10 GB and no 20 GB. It sells no 3-day and no 7-day plan for Indonesia. If any of those is what you need, Airalo is the one to buy, at $11, $27, $21 or $35.
