The short answer
Holafly and Nomad sell different things for Bali. Holafly sells unlimited days only: $11.90 for 3 days, $27.50 for a week, $51.50 for 15 days, $76.50 for 30 days, on XL and Telkomsel, with no daily cap stated. Nomad sells buckets on Telkomsel, $19 for 10 GB and $33 for 20 GB, plus short unlimited plans at $18 for 5 days and $33 for 10 days with 2 GB a day at full speed; it sells no 15-day or 30-day unlimited. Ringo Light, the third option, is unlimited data at full speed for 2 weeks at $22.99 or 30 days at $35.99.

The prices, charted
US dollars, 25 October 2026. Holafly sells 15 days, Ringo Light 2 weeks. Nomad sells no 15-day unlimited, its longest is 10 days at $33, so it has no bar here. Holafly states no daily cap for your own phone; Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed.
The 30-day plan at each brand. Nomad sells no 30-day unlimited, so it has no bar here. Holafly states no daily cap for your own phone; Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed.
Holafly sells no buckets, so it has no bar here. Ringo Light sells no bucket either: its 2 weeks is unlimited, so it lasts 2 weeks, not 30 days. For a fixed 10 GB that lasts a month, Nomad is the cheaper of the two.

Holafly vs Nomad in one paragraph
Holafly and Nomad are not selling the same thing for Bali, so the answer depends on what you want. Holafly sells unlimited days only, at every length from 3 days to 30, with no daily cap stated for your own phone, on XL and Telkomsel. Nomad sells buckets on Telkomsel, 10 GB for $19 and 20 GB for $33, and only short unlimited plans, 5 days for $18 and 10 days for $33, with 2 GB a day at full speed. Pick Holafly if you want unlimited and the trip is longer than 10 days. Pick Nomad if a bucket is enough, or if you will spend days on the smaller islands and want Telkomsel named on the plan. If the trip is two weeks or a month and you want unlimited, neither is the cheapest: Ringo Light sells 2 weeks at $22.99 and 30 days at $35.99, unlimited data at full speed.
Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 25 October 2026, in US dollars, from each brand's own site. For unlimited, Holafly asks $11.90 for 3 days, $27.50 for a week, $51.50 for 15 days and $76.50 for 30 days. Nomad asks $18 for 5 days and $33 for 10 days, and sells no 15-day or 30-day unlimited. The two only line up loosely: for about a week, Holafly's 7 days at $27.50 costs less than Nomad's 10 days at $33, but Nomad's plan runs three days longer. For a short stay, Holafly's 3 days at $11.90 is cheaper than Nomad's 5 days at $18.
Ringo Light sells two trips for Bali and the rest of Indonesia: 2 weeks at $22.99 and 30 days at $35.99. The 2 weeks costs less than half of Holafly's 15 days at $51.50, and less than Holafly's one week at $27.50. The 30 days costs less than half of Holafly's $76.50. Nomad has nothing at either length. Ringo Light sells no 3-day or 7-day plan; for 3 days, Holafly at $11.90 is the cheapest of the three.
For a fixed amount of data, Nomad is the only one of the three that sells it: 10 GB for 30 days at $19, 20 GB for 45 days at $33. Holafly sells no buckets. Ringo Light sells no buckets either. If 10 GB is all you need for a month, Nomad at $19 is cheaper than Ringo Light's $22.99, and we would rather you read that here than at checkout.
What unlimited means at each
Holafly states no daily cap for data on your own phone in Indonesia and limits hotspot sharing to 1 GB a day. Nomad's unlimited gives 2 GB a day at full speed, then slows you for the rest of the day; that is enough for maps, messages and some video, and an evening of streaming will hit it. So between the two, Holafly is the one to pick if you refuse a daily cap, and Nomad's unlimited is really a 2 GB a day plan sold by the day. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Networks and coverage in Bali
Telkomsel has the widest coverage across the Indonesian islands, including the Gilis, Nusa Penida and the north of Bali. Indosat, XL and 3 are fast in Canggu, Seminyak, Ubud and the south, and thinner outside the towns. Nomad rides Telkomsel. Holafly lists XL and Telkomsel. Ringo Light rides a local partner network. If you will spend days on the smaller islands, a plan that names Telkomsel is the safer buy, and Nomad is the one of the two that names it alone.
Installation, app and support
Holafly's app is optional: you can buy on its site, scan the QR code it sends in your phone's settings and never open the app, and support is by chat on its site. Nomad recommends its app, where you buy, install and top up; it is where its support lives too. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, and support is by email. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly and switch it on for data when you land at Ngurah Rai.
The cheaper third option: Ringo Light
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Bali and the rest of Indonesia it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $22.99 and 30 days at $35.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.
What it does not do: no buckets, no 3-day or 7-day plan, no phone number, data only. Calls go over apps that use data. If you want 10 GB for a month, Nomad at $19 is the better buy. If you want 3 days, Holafly at $11.90 is the better buy. For two weeks or a month of unlimited, Ringo Light is the cheapest of the three, and for a week its 2 weeks at $22.99 still costs less than Holafly's 7 days at $27.50.

How we compared, and our sources
Holafly, Nomad, Ringo Light
We priced Holafly, Nomad and Ringo Light for Bali on 25 October 2026, all on the same day, in US dollars. Each rival's price comes from its own website where it showed dollars, otherwise from an esimdb.com listing, and every source and its date is listed below. Ringo Light's prices come from the catalogue our checkout charges.
We compare the trips people actually book: a week, two weeks and a month of unlimited data, and a 10 GB bucket. We read each brand's fair use and speed rules and quote them as the brands state them. We did not run speed tests, so this page makes no speed claims for any brand.
Ringo Light is our own product. We put it in the table on the same terms as everyone else, and where a rival is the better buy the page says so.
Left out: Airalo and Ubigi. They sell Bali too and are priced on the same day in the full comparison at /blog/best-esim-for-bali. This page answers one question, Holafly or Nomad, so it keeps to those two and the cheaper third option. Left out: Saily. Its prices were read on saily.com in dollars on 25 October 2026 and none of them wins a row: unlimited is $26.99 for 7 days, $48.99 for 15 days and $71.99 for 30 days, 5 GB a day at full speed, then 1 Mbps; 10 GB for 30 days is $21.99. It left the charts on 22 October, when its prices could not be read, and the table has not been widened since; the figures here are for the record; see /blog/best-esim-for-bali. Left out: Revolut. It sells Indonesia data plans inside its banking app, for Revolut account holders only, with no price per plan in dollars and no unlimited plan, so it has no bar in the charts; see /blog/best-esim-for-bali. Left out: Maya Mobile. We could not read its own prices for this country on the day, so it stays out rather than being guessed; see /blog/best-esim-for-bali.
