The short answer

Priced on the same day, 25 October 2026, Airalo is cheaper at every length: $48 against $51.50 for 15 days, $69 against $76.50 for 30 days. Holafly states no daily cap on your own phone and rides Telkomsel, the network with the widest reach. Ringo Light, our own data eSIM, undercuts both: $22.99 for 2 weeks and $35.99 for 30 days, unlimited data at full speed, nothing renews.

The prices, charted

The 30-day plan at each brand, US dollars, 25 October 2026.
Holafly sells no buckets, so it has no bar. Ringo Light sells no bucket either: its 2 weeks is unlimited, so it lasts 2 weeks, not 30 days. Airalo wins this row.

Airalo vs Holafly in one paragraph
Airalo is cheaper than Holafly at every length in Bali: $11 against $11.90 for 3 days, $27 against $27.50 for 7, $48 against $51.50 for 15, $69 against $76.50 for 30. The gap is small for a week and real for a month. Airalo also sells buckets, from $4.50 for 1 GB to $35 for 20 GB, which Holafly does not. Holafly answers with two things: it states no daily full-speed cap for your own phone, where Airalo slows you to 1 Mbps after 3 GB a day, and it lists Telkomsel, the network that reaches the smaller islands. Pick Airalo if you watch the price and use your phone normally. Pick Holafly if you stream or hotspot all day and want Telkomsel. If you want unlimited for two weeks or a month and care about the price most, neither: Ringo Light is $22.99 and $35.99.
Price: the same trip at each
All three priced on 25 October 2026, in US dollars, from each brand's own site. For 3 days of unlimited, Airalo is $11 and Holafly $11.90; Ringo Light sells no 3-day plan. For 7 days, Airalo is $27 and Holafly $27.50; Ringo Light sells no 7-day plan, but its 2 weeks at $22.99 costs less than either week. For 15 days, Airalo is $48 and Holafly $51.50; Ringo Light's 2 weeks is $22.99. For 30 days, Airalo is $69 and Holafly $76.50; Ringo Light is $35.99.
Buckets are Airalo's alone on this page. 10 GB for 30 days is $21 and 20 GB is $35. Holafly sells no buckets. Ringo Light sells no buckets either, so if 10 GB is all you need and it must last a whole month, Airalo at $21 beats our 2 weeks at $22.99. For 20 GB, Airalo at $35 is 99 cents under our 30 days at $35.99, but ours is unlimited.
What unlimited means at each
Airalo's unlimited gives 3 GB a day at full speed, then 1 Mbps until the next day. That is enough for maps, messages, photos and an hour of video; it is not enough for a day of hotspot work. Holafly states no daily cap for your own phone and limits sharing to 1 GB a day, so it is the better of the two for streaming on the phone itself, and the worse for feeding a laptop. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the 2 weeks or 30 days you bought.
Networks and coverage in Bali
Airalo lists Indosat Ooredoo and one other network. Holafly lists XL and Telkomsel. Telkomsel has the widest coverage across the Indonesian islands, including the Gilis, Nusa Penida and the north of Bali. Indosat, XL and 3 are fast in Canggu, Seminyak, Ubud and the south, and thinner outside the towns. If you will spend days on the smaller islands, Holafly's Telkomsel is the safer of the two. Ringo Light rides a local partner network; the full Bali comparison has the detail on who covers what.
Installation, app and support
Both Airalo and Holafly have an app, and at both it is optional, not required: the eSIM installs from the code they send. Holafly sells days, so there is nothing to top up. Ringo Light arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, with no app at all. On an unlocked iPhone or Android that supports eSIM, all three work the moment you land.
The cheaper third option: Ringo Light
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Indonesia it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $22.99 and 30 days at $35.99. That is less than half of Airalo's $48 and $69 and Holafly's $51.50 and $76.50.
What it does not do, plainly. No 3-day or 7-day plan, so for a stopover Airalo at $11 is the buy. No buckets, so if 10 GB must last a month, Airalo at $21 is cheaper. Data only, no Indonesian phone number, so calls go over WhatsApp or FaceTime. Nothing renews; the trip ends when it ends. Where Airalo and Holafly stand against Nomad and Ubigi too, the full comparison at /blog/best-esim-for-bali has every row.
The card to buy it is further up this page, just after the side-by-side table.
Which to pick
- Airalo if you want the cheaper of the two big names, a 3-day plan at $11, or a 10 GB bucket at $21.
- Holafly if you stream or hotspot all day on your own phone and want Telkomsel for the islands, and $51.50 for 15 days is fine.
- ✓Ringo Light if the trip is two weeks or a month and you want unlimited at full speed for $22.99 or $35.99.
Pick by trip
Airalo unlimited, 3 days, $11. Holafly is $11.90. Ringo Light sells no 3 days.
Airalo at $27 or Holafly at $27.50 for 7 days. Or Ringo Light 2 weeks at $22.99, cheaper than either week, and you keep the spare days.
Ringo Light unlimited, 2 weeks, $22.99. Holafly at $51.50 if you want Telkomsel named on the plan for the smaller islands.
Airalo 10 GB for 30 days at $21.
Ringo Light unlimited, 30 days, $35.99. Airalo slows to 1 Mbps after 3 GB a day and Holafly caps sharing at 1 GB a day, so neither suits a laptop at $69 or $76.50.
Frequently asked questions
How we compared, and our sources
Airalo, Holafly, Ringo Light
We priced Airalo, Holafly and Ringo Light for Bali on 25 October 2026, all on the same day, in US dollars. Each rival's price comes from its own website where it showed dollars, otherwise from an esimdb.com listing, and every source and its date is listed below. Ringo Light's prices come from the catalogue our checkout charges.
We compare the trips people actually book: a week, two weeks and a month of unlimited data, and a 10 GB bucket. We read each brand's fair use and speed rules and quote them as the brands state them. We did not run speed tests, so this page makes no speed claims for any brand.
Ringo Light is our own product. We put it in the table on the same terms as everyone else, and where a rival is the better buy the page says so.
Left out: Nomad and Ubigi. Both sell Indonesia and both are priced in the full Bali comparison at /blog/best-esim-for-bali. This page answers one question only, Airalo or Holafly, so they stay out of these charts. Left out: Saily. Its prices were read on saily.com in dollars on 25 October 2026 and none of them wins a row: unlimited is $26.99 for 7 days, $48.99 for 15 days and $71.99 for 30 days, 5 GB a day at full speed, then 1 Mbps; 10 GB for 30 days is $21.99. It left the charts on 22 October, when its prices could not be read, and the table has not been widened since; the figures here are for the record; see /blog/best-esim-for-bali. Left out: Revolut. It sells Indonesia data plans from 1 GB for 7 days up to 100 GB for 60 days inside its banking app, for Revolut account holders only. Its website shows the plan sizes and a starting price in pounds, but no price per plan in dollars, and no unlimited plan, so it has no bar in the charts. Left out: Maya Mobile. We could not read its own prices for this country on the day, so it stays out rather than being guessed.
- Airalo: www.airalo.com/indonesia-esim?currency=USD, unlimited plans and network read on the site in dollars, 25 October 2026; the 10 GB and 20 GB buckets from esimdb's Airalo Indonesia listing dated 4 October 2026
- Holafly: esim.holafly.com/esim-indonesia/, read on the site in dollars, 25 October 2026
- Ringo Light: our own catalogue, the prices the checkout charges on 25 October 2026.
