The short answer
Ubigi is cheaper than Nomad for a bucket in Europe, $15 against $23 for 10 GB, and it is the only one of the two that sells anything past 10 days: 15 days at $35 and 30 days at $62, each a fixed amount at full speed, then 2 Mbps. Nomad is cheaper for a short trip, 5 days at $19, and for a one-off 20 GB at $27. Neither is unlimited in the plain sense. Ringo Light, the third option, is unlimited data at full speed across 33 countries for 2 weeks at $22.99 or 30 days at $35.99.

Nomad vs Ubigi in one paragraph
Ubigi is the better buy for most Europe trips of the two. It sells the cheapest 10 GB, $15 for 30 days against $23 at Nomad, it covers 38 countries against Nomad's 35, and it is the only one of the pair that sells anything past 10 days: 15 days for $35 and 30 days for $62. Nomad wins the short trip, 5 days of unlimited at $19 where Ubigi has no plan under 7 days, and the one-off 20 GB at $27 against Ubigi's 25 GB at $29. Neither is unlimited in the plain sense. Nomad gives 2 GB a day at full speed, then 1 Mbps. Ubigi gives a fixed amount, 25, 30 or 60 GB, then 2 Mbps. If the trip is two weeks or a month and you want unlimited, neither is the cheapest: Ringo Light sells 2 weeks at $22.99 and 30 days at $35.99, unlimited data at full speed across 33 countries.
Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 25 October 2026, in US dollars, from the esimdb listings updated 6 October, since nomadesim.com and cellulardata.ubigi.com refused the fetch or showed euros. For a short trip, Nomad sells 5 days of unlimited at $19; Ubigi sells nothing under 7 days. For a week, Ubigi asks $23 for 7 days with 25 GB at full speed; Nomad sells no 7-day plan, so you pick its 5 days at $19 or its 10 days at $34. Past 10 days, only Ubigi is left: 15 days with 30 GB for $35, 30 days with 60 GB for $62.
For a fixed amount of data, Ubigi wins 10 GB at $15 against $23 at Nomad. Nomad wins 20 GB at $27; Ubigi's nearest one-off is 25 GB at $29, and its 20 GB monthly plan at $19 renews until you cancel it.
Ringo Light sells two trips for Europe: 2 weeks at $22.99 and 30 days at $35.99, both unlimited data at full speed across 33 countries. The 2 weeks costs less than Ubigi's 7 days at $23, with a week of days left over, and $12.01 less than Ubigi's 15 days at $35. The 30 days costs $26.01 less than Ubigi's $62. Ringo Light sells no 3-day or 5-day plan, so for a long weekend Nomad at $19 is the one to buy. And for a fixed 10 GB, Ubigi at $15 is $7.99 under our 2 weeks; we would rather you read that here than at checkout.
What unlimited means at each
Nomad's unlimited for Europe gives 2 GB a day at full speed, then slows to 1 Mbps for the rest of the day. That is maps, messages and some video; an evening of streaming will hit it. Ubigi does not sell unlimited at all. Its plans are a fixed amount at full speed, 25 GB for 7 days, 30 GB for 15 days, 60 GB for 30 days, and then 2 Mbps until the plan ends. For a heavy user over two weeks, Ubigi's 30 GB gives more full-speed data than Nomad's 2 GB a day would over the same stretch, and Nomad sells no plan that long anyway. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Which countries each plan covers
A Europe plan is only as good as its country list, and the lists differ. Ubigi covers 38 countries, the most of the three. Nomad covers 35 on its unlimited plans, and includes both the UK and Switzerland. Ringo Light covers 33: the EU countries plus the UK, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Gibraltar. None of the three is the one to buy if your route runs through Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia or Ukraine; Airalo's Eurolink covers those, and it is priced in the full comparison.
Check the list for every country on your route before you buy, whichever brand you pick. The UK and Switzerland are the two that catch people out: neither is in the EU, and a plan sold as EU only can skip them. Ringo Light and Nomad include both; for Ubigi, read the country list at checkout. On the road, each eSIM joins a local network in whichever country you are in.
Installation, app and support
Nomad and Ubigi both work with or without their app: the app is optional, and you can install from the details each sends you. Ubigi's monthly plans renew until you cancel them, so if you buy the 20 GB monthly at $19, set a reminder. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, and nothing renews. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly and switch it on for data when you land.
The cheaper third option: Ringo Light
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Europe it sells two trips across 33 countries, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $22.99 and 30 days at $35.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app. When you cross a border, it moves to a local network in the next country on its own.
What it does not do: no buckets, no 3-day, 5-day or 7-day plan, no phone number, data only. Calls go over apps that use data. If you want 10 GB for a month, Ubigi at $15 is the better buy. If you want 20 GB, Nomad at $27 is $8.99 under our 30 days. If the trip is a long weekend, Nomad's 5 days at $19 is cheaper than anything we sell. For two weeks or a month of unlimited, Ringo Light is the cheapest of the three, and the only one with no speed cap.

We priced Nomad, Ubigi and Ringo Light for Europe on 25 October 2026, all on the same day, in US dollars. Each rival's price comes from its own website where it showed dollars, otherwise from an esimdb.com listing, and every source and its date is listed below. We compare the trips people actually book: a week, two weeks and a month of unlimited data, and a 10 GB bucket. We read each brand's fair use and speed rules and quote them as the brands state them. We did not run speed tests, so this page makes no speed claims for any brand.
Ringo Light is our own product. We put it in the table on the same terms as everyone else, and where a rival is the better buy the page says so.
Left out: Airalo. Its Eurolink plan covers 41 countries and sells 3 days of unlimited at $11.50; it is priced on the same day in the full comparison at /blog/best-esim-for-europe. Left out: Holafly. Unlimited days with no stated daily cap in 33 countries, $27.50 for a week; priced the same day at /blog/best-esim-for-europe. Left out: Saily. 5 GB a day at full speed, $26.99 for a week; priced the same day at /blog/best-esim-for-europe.
